The proximity to where my family live that we were visiting. Room was clean. No one on reception but turned up quickly when called on the phone. Body wash and hand soap provided but no shampoo.

Bathroom fan didn’t work. Not enough tea bags, coffee, sugar or milk. Only enough for one coffee or tea each. Breakfast isn’t available and was supplied with nearby cafe location but it was only open mon-fri so as staying as the weekend nowhere to get breakfast! Room was too hot but couldn’t open the window because Road noise was soooo loud. Asked for fan and was given a very small one but screw missing so fan only faced the ground! Had to wedge something under it to make it point to me. Asked to move to another room but was told that no other twin room was available

The young lady who greeted us on Saturday afternoon was extremely helpful, vivacious and knowledgeable about the local area. The rooms were spotless, as was the rest of the hotel. It's a small shame that no breakfast was available, however the delightful young member of staff informed us of a cafe within 5 minutes walk. Very nice it was too.

Merely that there is no breakfast on site but this was stated on the website and the cafe around the corner was perfectly up to the job.

Right next to the motorway. Very noisy with windows open, but was fine when they were closed. Unfortunately we were there when it was a hot night. Otherwise it would have been fine. Perhaps provide a fan on hot nights so windows do t need to be open?

My room was large, with plenty of space. It was clean and welcoming on arrival. The shower was excellent always with hot water available. I asked for a room away from the motorway (M62) to keep noise to a minimum - when the windows were closed I could not hear the motorway at all. Unfortunately, it was a hot week with the weather so I had to have the windows open, so the sound of the motorway was distracting. There was free parking and free wifi both were very good. My highlight was the staff, who were all present, kind, and full of smiles.

Be aware at the moment the hotel is being redecorated, so whilst the rooms are fresh and clean, there is a strong smell of paint. Unfortunately, there was no food available at the hotel, and the local restaurants do not offer the best selection of food. It is a good 15 - 20 min drive to get some clean, healthy good food. Whilst my bed was large, the mattress was very poor quality, also it was two singles pushed together - not ideal.

The building was set back away from the road, I didn't expect it to look as nice as it was for the price but I was very surprised. They don't do breakfast but do have Porridge pots and cereal bars to buy if you did need something for first thing. The manager was very friendly and chatty. The building is very modern and in the process of having some home improvements done.

They is the occasional noise from the cars on the main road but I had my window open. You can't hear anything when the windows are shut.

Stayed in Wakefield as catching up with friends before they went off to Australia. The Wakefield Limes was a good choice. Stayed in main building. Nothing too much trouble. Staff friendly and welcoming. It was clean. Not able to comment on food as ate out.

Only very tiny issue was due to the heat and being right by the motorway. I was not able to keep window open. Might be an option, if there was a fan in a room. However, there was no staff to ask so it might have been available. Weather is unpredictable. It did not spoil my stay.. Would stay there again. 😀

Great communications. Clean room and made over the second day to. Extremely large room and a massive comfortable bed. The ensuite was modern and the shower was nice and warm. Plenty of parking and the bar was reasonably priced. Exceptional value for money, I will certainly return.

Georgie was amazing, from the start she was polite professional and efficient. Made me feel at home as I arrived alone while waiting for my partner. She is an asset to the lodge. The place is ideal, the rooms are clean and tidy. The bed is huge even in the standard. It's a real find and will definitely stay again.

Only negative, that we had a front upstairs bedroom and we had the window open so the sound from the M62 was quite loud, but that's all. Next time I'd ask for an inter room at the back maybe. Everything else was perfect.

Apart from the smell of damp in the bathroom, which soon cleared, the room was comfortable. Could do with a mattress topper to bridge the gap on the mattresses. Unforegetable it being so close to the motorway will stop me booking again. Overall though it was good value.

Great place, nice and clean. The location was fantastic, very spacious, and had an excellent shower. The bed was very comfy. A very secure parking. Close to the shops, bars, and restaurants. I would certainly stay there for a couple of weeks. The host is very friendly, kind, and very respectful.
