Staff on front desk were great. Breakfast & facilities were also good. We were given a family room with separate bedroom & bed settee which for 2 of us was plenty of space. We also had a kitchen area with 6 empty kitchen cupboards but no cooking facilities - not even a microwave

The bathroom was TINY considering the size of the room. Why they built it like this is crazy. I wouldn't stay again simply because of this. 2 people need twice the size bathroom at least and this was for 4 people.

The room was very large and I enjoyed the view from the balcony to the nice neighborhood. The team was friendly and helpful. One of the waiters made us a very special signature cocktail that we liked a lot. The pool is a great place to hang out and also the public beach is just a few steps away.

Be advised that the "sea" there is not really suitable for swimming. You can walk a mile into that "river" and still have the water only going to your ankles. The breakfast was okay, but not really mind-blowing. I have seen better breakfast in other Dazzlers. The Dinner was pretty good through. The most annoying thing about Colonia are the taxi drivers that really try to take advantage of tourists. A drive around the block will cost you the same as the ride from the airport. Since the hotel is a bit far from town, be advised to get a rental car.

The staff was INCREDIBLE. Warm, helpful, hospitable. They really give the hotel a lot of its worth, in my opinion.

There were a few maintenance issues - the toilet in our first room would flood, so they upgraded us to another room which had a great view, but the tiniest and most uncomfortable bathroom I've ever had in a hotel room. The design made no sense in comparison with how ample the room itself is. Additionally, I encountered a loose ceramic on the stairs and noticed quite a few details that made me realize that the builders/architects wanted to save money. It's a shame, because the overall design is nice. Breakfast: I wish they had more of a healthy food selection- more fruit, for example.

Large room, great views for sunset over the river. The staff were very friendly and super helpful, particularly the Manager who was on duty.

Could perhaps have bottle openers in the room, instead of having to go to reception, and perhaps a stocked bar fridge where you can purchase drinks, to enjoy while sitting on the balcony. But these are very minor issues.

Room was very hot The bikes need to be rented at a very expensive price (20 dollars per day per bike) Some not very sustainable practices like use of a lot of unnecessary paper, etc.

When checking out the clerk who processed it clearly didn’t have knowledge about the credit card process. I had a foreign card only enabled for credit and he ignored my instructions to process it as a credit card, which led the bank to decline the payment. When trying again he was completely lost and multiple card payment attempts ended up failing. Because of this I had to pay cash, which was not my desired option, to save time and hassle. I think staff needs better training on such a hotel.

The room was spacious, with a great balcony and beautiful view. Breakfast was very good, and the staff extremely kind and helpful. The hotel is in a quiet residential area, and it’s ideal to relax and work.

It was very clean and rooms were comfortable.

There were no drawers, no hangers. We had to live out of our luggage. Kichenette but nothing to heat water with.

Staff were lively, very helpful. Room large and comfortable. Beautiful area.

The location is a few kilometres from the centre. Taxis cost 200 to 240 Uruguayan pesos, approximately 5 US dollars or Euro. There are local buses, from near the stadium, but we were not in town long enough to find them.

Very tasty dinner at the hotel, without being pretentious. You can eat for 25/35USD, from the menu. Location is great, you need to arrive by taxi (or walk a little!) We arrive on our bikes.
