Nice calm environment, it is a quiet place, staff is very kind, breakfast was generous and nice, spa was cozy, nice room, nice food, nice place to rest and to walk on the beach if it is summer, close to the airport, convenient.

The other guests in the spa using their phones at full volume to the point that you hear their whatsaap voice messages, the game they are playing, the social media videos and also having load volume conversation is classless, it should be a signs or a norm that in the spa people should keep it quiet or use head phones. Room was nice but has some wear off signs in the walls and bathroom. Rooms should be impecable in maintenance for this kind of hotel standards.

Location is great. The building is amazing

Rooms are not well kept - only 3 working electricity outlets in the whole bedroom. Reported to the front desk, promised to send somebody and nobody Came - there is a drainage opening in the toilet and bad smell comes out it. Reported to the front desk. They did nothing. - bathrooms are not convenient in layout: There is no space to place toiletries There are not hangers for hand towels Using the shower will get the whole bathroom wet with water splash.

Very stylish hotel with very friendly check in staff (shame about the guys who did check out!) and parking valet porters. Good buffet breakfast with a wide spread plus you can order freshly cooked items. Room was spacious with a fantastic view of the beach opposite. The main hall is very elegant with beautiful flowers. The neighbourhood is great with a good range of restaurants and shops on the doorstep. Also lovely inside/outside swimming pool

Don’t eat dinner in the hotel. Not only is the food not as good but you do not get the tax back as you do in the local restaurants so it’s much more expensive.

Lovely location in Carrasco neighborhood. Felt very safe plus there were lots of nice restaurants just five minutes away. Dining room staff very helpful on our one and only dinner in the hotel. The cleaning of our room was very good. Beach right outside which was lovely to walk along.

Thirty minutes drive from central Montevideo. Spa had a drain smell and the pool was cool/ cold. Bad service in the bar so we moved to the dining room. See earlier positive comment..

Excellent location, beautiful building, nice view, plenty of options for breakfast.

The young gentleman from Sweden who welcomed us and helped us with our luggage was very friendly. The staff at the reception was helpful. The rest of the staff wasn’t that friendly and service during breakfast I would say did not reflect the standard of a 5-Star hotel (nor the prices).

Breakfast was great. Location the absolute best. What a beautiful piece of Architecture. It made us happy to see such an iconic building finally being preserved and looked after. The views from the balconies are wonderful.

The indoor pool and spa area smelt bad and heated pool needed a clean. Room service was an impossible feat. You rang a number, automated message was given in English. (great if you speak English, but what if you don't?) However even with English and following the prompts, the IVR sent me into a loop and was never answered. This was very frustrating for us and the Hotel missed out on 3 Adult dinners worth $100-$150 US dollars.

I think the restaurant is an unique place, I was good dishes and does put a nice atmosphere of elegance.

The rooms shows the passage of time, which is normal for such historic place, but small details (paint, dirty rugs) the keys (cards) didn't work properly and they need to be remagintized.

The building is magnificent, spa is like being in a roman bath and breakfast was great.

The hotel lacks an outdoor space, like an outdoor café to sit, read, talk or just enjoy the view. Planty of possible spaces for that. But all is confined indoors.

Really lovely hotel. The building is impressive. Rooms outdated but clean and had all you need. The area is quiet and there’s a street with plenty of shops and restaurants behind the hotel.

The area is very quiet. One night was more than enough for me. You can’t really swim here but the beach is spacious and clean

Luxurious, designed, well-equipped rooms. Wonderful breakfast. Cozy SPA. Exceptional architecture. Peaceful and secure walking areas around. Casino downstairs. Everything to spend time and money with a pleasure.
