The hotel was closed for the winter storm when we arrived, however a staff member came to let us in and rent us a room for the night. He said all the roads were closed and we had to eat, so he made us a pizza and let us into the pro shop to get sodas and snacks. The next morning he provided a delicious breakfast (the waffles were SO GOOD!) and he let us use the hot springs mineral pool, which was magical! We spent the rest of the time either playing in the snow or melting our toes in the piping hot shower!

I can't think of a single thing I disliked. The place is a hidden gem and everyone I met was very friendly! I loved our stay and definitely recommend to anyone!

This trip was plagued by mismanagement issues. They have reservation services they don’t honor and the older gray haired lady was terribly rude. The young man who ran the register went above and beyond to get us the room we had reserved after the lady in the bar was so rude to us. Thank you, by the way and good luck.

It was a very quaint vintage hotel. Our rooms had an inside door between them, and we loved that. The bed was comfortable. The staff was very nice and friendly. We enjoyed our stay very much.

The air conditioner in one room only put out cool air on one side, so it never really cooled the room down in 219. The air conditioner in the other room worked fine.

In town for the weekend to run the Clan MacDuff (kingdom of Fife) tent at the Dothan Highland Games, I was really hoping to use the range on arrival but plans delayed us to 10 pm. As I turned into the parking lot I see a lighted range in the back, like saint Andrews himself had stopped by earlier and left the lights on for us! The listing doesn't point out there is a lighted driving range in back of the hotel, stocked bar and a Callaway virtual golfing monitor, free, on every hitting station. reasonably priced balls ($10for 60, $20/$30 - but much surplus balls and I saw people leave the extras for others to try.) Vibe was upbeat, relaxed, southern by the grace of God. Staff and people there were genuinely the salt of the earth. if people are there, range open to as late as 2am. have jack and coke and walk 100 yards to your room. Could not hear the golfing in room, and mine was the closest - because it drives away from hotel. Down to earth people here, not snooty. This was an INCREDIBLE experience. will def go back. and the course was not Jack Nicholas inspired, he personally helped chart the layout in person before the days of making signature ones. was once on the PGA trail. Course was challenging but not impossible, and it prompted me to experience some "best shot of my life" scenarios. water on just a few holes, but good sized fairways lined with mature trees on some holes - its like the most beautiful park you remember as a kid. a few condition issues they are working on and one green was needing repair, but it just added to the challenge. this is like a hidden gem and well worth the money in my book. its on my top 10 favorite golf experiences. And Glenn in the pro shop was a tour custom club builder for the greatest PGA names - people ship him their clubs from all over the US. its not TJ, definitely work in a visit there, but I would make this course my home course if I lived in town.

dated rooms in a very convenient, but its a SAFE format where you can back your car up to your room and unload. no issues in lot at night, as its away from town and not a place people would wander into. some might call motel negative but to me it was a major plus, especially with golf clubs. it was a nice break from getting the luggage cart and negotiating long carpeted hallways and elevators. bed was comfortable to me and im a big guy, slept like a rock. HD TV with cable, tall mini-fridge and microwave. essentials. not the Luxor, but to me it was charming and comfortable. the people made it a 10, including the patrons at the range and staff. so, there was nothing that I didnt like. at the price, its a super deal.

Frankie at the desk and restaurant was very nice, and accommodating. Decor was so fun to look at. The food was simple, but great!! The bed was very comfortable. Location right off the highway was perfect for our traveling needs. We loved the hot mineral spring pool!!

Smell in room from plugged in air freshener was strong. Once unplugged though, it was fine.

The breakfast was just waffles and pastries, but they were good. The hot springs pool was good, but could have been a bit warmer. The staff were great. They got us anything we needed.

The toilet wasn't bolted down very well. It shifted side to side when sat on. The floor in the room had a coat of dust on it. I would have to rinse my feet before getting into bed.

The hotel is old, but well maintained. It is safe, clean, and everything works. Convenience to the golf course and range were most important to me as a coach, and to my golf team. I’ve been here before, and if they maintain it like it has been in the past, I’ll return.

I never got the hang of the TV. Could not make it work properly with the remote. Don’t know what I did wrong, but the free Wi-fi was great and my laptop ran just fine.

Staff was super friendly! We loved the bar and the pool and were so close to so many restaurants etc.

Wish there was a coffee maker in the room and we were notified before housekeeping came to make beds etc. or given a do not disturb sign.

It’s always great everytime we go! Next time we may try a round of golf with the stay in the package we found out about.

They didn’t have any hot food for breakfast it was just cereal or muffins.

Breakfast is a true continental style breakfast. Hot fresh coffee! Ice cold milk and orange juice. Fresh fruits and cereals. And plenty of frozen microwave biscuits. The pool and mineral spa were amazing. The bar was awesome! And the kitchen offers a good variety of dinner and supper options. And the guy who seems to keep it all together and running, Miles!!! Thank you Miles for you kindness and being a true southern gentleman.

The place is old no doubt. And there has obviously been work done to keep it at a condition I would say is ok. But even with what it would consider to be on the lower end not very picky about stuff. This place really could use a complete overhaul!!!
