The Berkshire Inn is a charming and welcoming place to stay, with plenty of positives that make it a great choice. The house itself is spotlessly clean, and the beds are incredibly comfortable, ensuring a restful night’s sleep. The views are absolutely lovely, adding to the peaceful and cozy atmosphere. One of the biggest highlights, though, is the family that owns and operates the inn—they are truly some of the kindest people you could hope to meet. Since they live in the home, staying here offers a warm, family-style experience with lots of interaction with your hosts, making it feel like a home away from home. Their hospitality is unmatched, and they go out of their way to make guests feel welcome. And to top it all off, their sweet Labrador is an absolute delight—friendly, playful, and endlessly entertaining. If you're looking for a cozy, scenic stay with a personal touch and enjoy genuine connection with your hosts, the Berkshire Inn is a fantastic choice!
While the Berkshire Inn offers a warm and welcoming atmosphere, it's important to note that the family lives in the same house where guests stay and is very interactive. This makes it a great choice for those who enjoy a homey, family-style experience, but if you're looking for a traditional hotel feel with more privacy and less interaction, this might not be the right fit for you.

It was just very comfortable and relaxing. We added a couple of relax days to our week long Yosemite trip. We actually hung out one entire day and half of another day just to enjoy the Inn. Plenty of places to relax outside on the porch or gazebo. The furniture outside is very comfortable. The rooms are very comfortable sized and spotless. The hots are wonderful. They set us up with a stargazing area with great chairs and a table for cocktails. Chris and Brittany are two very hard working host that still value family time and enjoy their time with their son.
There is not one thing that I did not like about the In.

Brittany gave a great recommendation for dinner. Our mattress was very comfortable! The breakfast was delicious; scrambled eggs with ham and cheese, whole wheat toast, watermelon, orange juice and coffee, which we.enjoyed outside on their nice deck at a table of our own. The weather was beautiful with nice scenery.
We would have preferred a king size bed, although we were aware it was going to be a queen. There was no TV in our room, which is very important to us. It was our preference not to watch TV in the common space. We tried to use our laptop to watch some news but the Internet was spotty. We had some noisy neighbors who were loud early in the morning. I was not aware that the owner had a dog inside the home.

The location was stunning, complemented by the owner's friendly manner, making us feel at home from the minute we entered the property. We whiled away the evening overlooking the mountains, enjoying the evening heat whilst drinking a glass of wine out of a bottle we bought from the local country store, only interrupted by the occasional deer. Family memories we will cherish for years to come.
Having to leave as we hadn't booked longer, we stayed in multiple places on this journey, some fancier and some not so fancy, but Berkshire Inn was the most homely.

Chris and Brittany are the most wonderful hosts you could ask for! Their puppy Chance is so adorable and the happiest pup you’ll ever meet. They’ve been running the B&B for decades and the love and care that they have for the property and guests is immediately evident. The rooms are cozy and clean and well stocked with toiletries and towels. We only stayed on night and were beat after our hike, but Brittany also offered us complimentary coffee, tea, beer, and wine. The breakfast is so lovely - we had an option of either pancakes with bananas or scrambled eggs with toast. Both options were absolutely delicious and by far the best B&B breakfast I’ve ever had. We ate on their lovely little deck to enjoy the morning air and views. If you’re reading this less than a couple months before your trip, you may be out of luck because they book up months in advance, so book early!!
The driveway is a bit steep, but just ascend slowly and steadily and you’ll be fine! There were a couple of mosquitos, and I was bitten by the same mosquito four times in my back and once on my forehead :( but unavoidable in the area. Bring bug spray!

We stayed at the Berkshire Inn to be close to Yosemite NP. The Inn is somewhat older but is very well cared for and set on a beautiful piece of property. Our room was huge which was wonderful, it was very clean and the bed was super comfortable. The only slight negative is that the bathroom needs some updating, but once again, super clean and had everything we could need. The hosts were very welcoming and offered good advice for seeing Yosemite. They also provided a delicious breakfast each morning, along with coffee, tea, juice and banana bread. We stayed at the Berkshire for two nights and if we are ever able to come back to Yosemite we would definitely stay there again.

The location was perfect and allowed an easy entrance into Yosemite. The owners were friendly and helpful and when asking for a late arrival, the owner responded “sure, I am here for you.” it totally allayed my anxiety about arriving too late. We stayed there going in and coming out of the park, which was great, enabling us to do the 6pm valley tour in Yosemite before leaving for the Berkshire. Breakfast wonderful. Easy and plentiful parking. They had a refrigerator we could put our cooler food into overnight. Highly recommend. Grateful for the safe, easy welcoming lodging.

The serenity and view from the deck. The owners were very helpful.
The property is on the older side; and the BNB’s exterior is in need of some TLC. Our group was comprised of 2 couples. One of the rooms accessed the deck which we all enjoyed. The only downside was some other lodger’s rooms were also off the deck so we had to head inside earlier than desired. Idk what type of soundproofing has been done; perhaps double paned windows would help?

Tastefully decorated, lovely and clean. Excellent quality bed linen, towels and toiletries. Chris and Britney extended a very warm welcome into their home. A selection of teas, coffee and fruit were readily available for guests to help themselves.
Breakfast fell a little short. Although good quality the limited choice of either Chris’s famous pancakes topped with banana and syrup or scrambled egg with ham and 2 small slices of toast plus 2 small pieces of watermelon was disappointing.

The best scrambled eggs for breakfast in 14 days travelling along SW USA. The towels, the best found in an accomodation in many years. Mattress and pillows very comfortable. Very nice house. Chris and Brittany were very friendly and serviceable. A place to come back!
To point out something, I missed a coffee machine in the room. A bit far from the west entrance to Yosemite NP
