This was a lovely hotel whilst passing through Yosemite. Its a very old hotel and quirky. The bedroom has everything that you needed for the night, lovely bath and shower , sink was in the main bedroom . coffee facilities and bed very comfortable. The decor was slightly old fashioned but with it being an old building it was not out of place. The complimentary breakfast was really good . There was so much choice , its completely self service but very laid back and could not fault it.

There was not anything to dislike. This is a very quiet town, the Iron Door Saloon was next door which was worth a visit. If I had done some research about the ghost that haunts the hotel , I would have asked for a different room. Our room was adjoining the "Lyle" room (haunted) and I was unaware of the history of this room until I did some googling later, so I felt a bit spooked all night. Some visitors may love the idea of being next to or even in the ghost room, but thats not for me. This is the only reason I would not visit again.

Great stay during our trip to California. We were here for 5 nights. The beds were comfortable, the shower hot and powerful. Able to watch Netflix and other other TV during the evenings. Great restaurants, Mexican and Iron door. Cute little village with grocery store within walking distance. Good size car park.

The only downside is that the fridge is not silent, and the blinds are not blackout. Also, the hall light shines through the bedroom door border. Also, didn't have much table space/surfaces to put things on.

A really cosy hotel in a nice cosy town. The room is cosy, with a comfortable double decker bed which made our son happy. The breakfast was excellent. The staff is nice. Absolutely great experience having our stay here.

Carpark is a distance away from the property. We had a baby with us, coupled with luggage, the walk to our room was challenging especially when we arrived when the sun had set.

Great spot to stay as we wanted to visit Iron Door Saloon next door. Surprise complimentary light breakfast was perfect. Lovely hotel bar. Large bed very comfy. Loved reading about Lyle, had lots of laughs about that. Visited Yosemite nearby.

Nothing to moan about, we really enjoyed our stay. Style is in-keeping with rustic surroundings with some modern touches.

Good hotel in the center of Groveland, close to Yosemite West Entrance. Good for one or two night; free breakfast provided (coffee, cereal, porridge, juice). Room was clean and staff was very friendly and helpful. There‘s a fridge, small tv, a/c, hair dryer abd a small mini bar

There are a lot of noises, probably fridge, because a/c was turned off. It was a bit loud to sleep. Another lock on the door would be nice.

It is a historic building, but they have updated the rooms and common areas. The absolute best feature is the outdoor patio. So relaxing.

It would have been great to have the room open to the patio, but likely a safety issue . . . we aren't historic building stay folks, but it was a cool set up and location, especially the Adobe House portion and patio.

They hadn’t started serving breakfast so that was a little disappointing. But our stay was everything we imagined. The staff especially Taylor was very helpful and courteous! We had a wonderful dinner one night and was compensated for staying at the hotel.

Groveland is awesome, staff was friendly. On-site bar and restaurant was closed due to staffing issues but front desk staff directed us to local eats within a block. Quite a drive from the valley floor but we loved its proximity to Columbia State Park, Rush Creek Spa, and Crane Flat sledding area.

The central heat was very inconsistent (stayed in January) but they had a good space heater in the room for when it felt cold. Then, the central heat was cranking and at times the room got too hot but we closed the vent. Management should upgrade to splits or have thermostat sensors in rooms.

Historical hotel updated to today’s standards. Lovely outdoor areas to relax in. Restaurant nearby as well in the hotel. Free parking

Free breakfast was strictly for kids. Not a healthy item in sight. They should expand the choices with some healthy choices or discontinue it. Most guests walked next door for a real breakfast.

This location was great! On our first day driving through Yosemite to the property I thought maybe it was a bit far, but after the 2nd day seeing how busy it got in the park, Groveland was the perfect retreat! For a historic building, it’s been kept up nicely and updated. We were lucky enough to get to eat dinner at the hotel one night and the food had a great presentation and was absolutely delicious! We highly enjoyed the back courtyard, that was one of the coolest features and I’ve never stayed at another hotel that offered this experience. This place has a ton of character and charm, we’d for sure stay again!

The bedroom layout was a bit tight, but doable. Again, being a historic property, it is understandable and something we got used to.
