Their hospitality is unmatched, and they go out of their way to make guests feel welcome. And to top it all off, their sweet Labrador is an absolute delight—friendly, playful, and endlessly entertaining. While the Berkshire Inn offers a warm and welcoming atmosphere, it's important to note that the family lives in the same house where guests stay and is very interactive. This makes it a great choice for those who enjoy a homey, family-style experience, but if you're looking for a traditional hotel feel with more privacy and less interaction, this might not be the right fit for you.

We stayed at the Berkshire Inn to be close to Yosemite NP. The Inn is somewhat older but is very well cared for and set on a beautiful piece of property. Our room was huge which was wonderful, it was very clean and the bed was super comfortable. The only slight negative is that the bathroom needs some updating, but once again, super clean and had everything we could need. The hosts were very welcoming and offered good advice for seeing Yosemite. They also provided a delicious breakfast each morning, along with coffee, tea, juice and banana bread. We stayed at the Berkshire for two nights and if we are ever able to come back to Yosemite we would definitely stay there again.

Chris and Brittany are the most wonderful hosts you could ask for! Their puppy Chance is so adorable and the happiest pup you’ll ever meet. They’ve been running the B&B for decades and the love and care that they have for the property and guests is immediately evident. The rooms are cozy and clean and well stocked with toiletries and towels. We only stayed on night and were beat after our hike, but Brittany also offered us complimentary coffee, tea, beer, and wine. The breakfast is so lovely - we had an option of either pancakes with bananas or scrambled eggs with toast. Both options were absolutely delicious and by far the best B&B breakfast I’ve ever had. We ate on their lovely little deck to enjoy the morning air and views. If you’re reading this less than a couple months before your trip, you may be out of luck because they book up months in advance, so book early!!

The driveway is a bit steep, but just ascend slowly and steadily and you’ll be fine! There were a couple of mosquitos, and I was bitten by the same mosquito four times in my back and once on my forehead :( but unavoidable in the area. Bring bug spray!

The location was perfect and allowed an easy entrance into Yosemite. The owners were friendly and helpful and when asking for a late arrival, the owner responded “sure, I am here for you.” it totally allayed my anxiety about arriving too late. We stayed there going in and coming out of the park, which was great, enabling us to do the 6pm valley tour in Yosemite before leaving for the Berkshire. Breakfast wonderful. Easy and plentiful parking. They had a refrigerator we could put our cooler food into overnight. Highly recommend. Grateful for the safe, easy welcoming lodging.

Tastefully decorated, lovely and clean. Excellent quality bed linen, towels and toiletries. Chris and Britney extended a very warm welcome into their home. A selection of teas, coffee and fruit were readily available for guests to help themselves.

Breakfast fell a little short. Although good quality the limited choice of either Chris’s famous pancakes topped with banana and syrup or scrambled egg with ham and 2 small slices of toast plus 2 small pieces of watermelon was disappointing.

Our hosts welcomed us when we arrived and made us feel right at home. We liked the comfortable common area with couches and patio seating where guests can relax and visit. Our room was very clean with a nice bed, private bathroom en-suite and sliding patio door to the garden area. The hosts prepared a delicious breakfast and we sat out on the porch to enjoy the cool spring weather while eating. We had a wonderful experience at The Berkshire Inn and highly recommend it.

Wonderful location, just West of Yosemite. Beautiful old house overlooking the Groveland valley. Lovely big room with full king beds, with a great porch. Spotless room and bathroom, excellent WiFi, welcoming and comfortable common spaces. Easy check-in, easy parking. Britany & Chris are welcoming, friendly, and attentive hosts. Breakfast was made warm to order and delicious. Really a lovely stay.

Really, everything was perfect.

The location was great for trips to Yosemite -- less than 30 minutes drive. The BNB is on a rise, so it sits nicely back and up from the road. We had a large front terrace with table and chairs and a bench swing where we could sit for sunset. Very nicely landscaped. We appreciated no TV in the room. Nice to have a hot breakfast.

Our bed was very soft so we sort of rolled toward the center. Depends on your preference.

We felt like we were staying with family, Chris and Brittany were amazing. The rooms were very clean and spacious. We were able to have a nice cold drink on the large porch after a long day of driving. The breakfast the next morning was made to order and fueled us for our day at Yosemite National Park. We would definitely stay again on our next visit.

Nothing to recommend, nice accommodation.

The host is super nice, the dog is so cute, even though they will isolate it if you do not like them. The bed is very comfortable, and the location is right by the roadside, making it easy to find. It is very suitable for people who need a one-night stop before heading to other locations. The view from the balcony is also great!

The hot water system requires waiting if many people shower at the same time.
