Breakfast was nahhhh not what I would call breakfast, we ended up going to McDonalds for a breakfast sandwich. On this trip we only found one place that had a good breakfast. Before Covid breakfast was much better. So disappointed that Hotels are still using the easy way of making breakfast. Wish they would step up their game especially because the cost to stay at Hotels is so much more money and most hotels don't even provide housekeeping. Loved the location and we had a room looking out to the city. What a fun town to stay at. Just a word, when we were down town shopping on of the shop owners ask us where we were staying and she was like Yuck, we told her how much we loved this old hotel and how it had been up dated, and that she needed to take time to check it out. I think it would be a good idea to invite the local shop owners for a night to experience the great hospitality your staff offered and how cool this old hotel is. Thank you
Breakfast, I would not call breakfast. Please step up your breakfast for such a cool location and hotel, use some local flair and really make a breakfast.

We love staying in older hotels in historic towns, and have stayed here before and liked it. While it isn't high end luxury, it is reasonably priced, comfortable, and has an elevator The breakfast is fine though not elaborate and the rooms are large enough and comfortable, The staff is courteous and helpful. Sonora and the surrounding Southern Gold Country area of Columbia, Jamestown is wonderful and is is reasonably close proximity to Yosemite as well.
A explanation in advance of where to park to check in (behind hotel) and the actual overnight parking (in the separate motel lot BEHIND the hotel).

The location and how much history the building has! The pool was a great perk. Cannot get over how friendly everyone was in this town. Wish we stayed 2 nights!
The kids loved the noise the toilet made after a flush, apologies to anyone staying below us for the bonus 5 flushed while they were laughing. But really, I would still call this a perk.

Recently updated inside. New paint, etc. An older historic hotel. Clean and met our three day stay needs well. The desk staff were all nice and helpful. The helped us out on several occasions. The downtown area is there for strolling , shopping, eating and bar hopping. Breakfast was nice, coffee was hot, food acceptable for a classic hotel self serve offering.
No complaints or suggestions.

The location was wonderful and so central. The reception staff were lovely and so helpful and attentive. Even while getting into the pool was a challenge, one of the staff walked us all the way up to ensure we were able to get in and enjoy the pool before the sun went down.
The issue with the keys getting into the pool was a bit frustrating but the staff made it into an easy fix. It would have been lovely to have a bit more space in the breakfast area - many families were just sitting in there after they had finished and it made it difficult to find a place to eat.

Love the Historic aspect of the property, staff was friendly and attentive. Great location.
Needs to be updated, peeling paint in the bathroom, carpet has an old smell, A/C unit dirty and lighting in the rooms sub-par, breakfast minimal.

We love it historic downtown location. We love the rooftop pool.
They gave the rooms some nice updates. However, we missed the charm of some of the older historic furnishings. They took away the table and chairs of the rooms that we enjoyed using to have coffee or meal.

Location. History. The pool.
We have always enjoyed staying here and this was our third time. We miss the table and two chairs that we had in our room before, where we could have our breakfast or lunch in our rooms. Or simply enjoy both sitting down.

The staff were extremely professional, friendly and accommodating. The location of the inn was perfect and the building was clean and well maintained.
The room was very small and there was a lot of road noise.

Wow! This place is TRULY HISTORIC. The main theme surrounding the Inn is “old downtown”. Old, but not run down. Breakfast offerings were varied and pretty straightforward. Sunny, well lit area.
