Was very impressed with The Wave, totally surprised us, spotless clean, beautiful large room, fridge, coffee maker, massive shower, pool, iron, hairdryer, toiletries and breakfast was included with our stay, great location 17$ Uber from airport and 8$ to beach or 25 min walk, Target A few doors up and great bar on the road crossing with great value and best steaks and food we had, highly recommend The Wave for the price and facilities, special thank you to Francis at reception for her kindness.

I really loved how quiet the place was. That's the most memorable thing for me💗. I stayed on the top floor, so there was no noise over my head, but I also noticed there weren't people running, yelling and misbehaving (disturbing other guests). Very nice place. I love that the facility is non-smoking!!! I also loved that the parking is in a parking garage (covered) so my car was safe and not feeling like an oven when I get in 🔥🔥🔥 along with easy access to the elevators. I love that I can use a cart to bring my items to the room. Very convenient. The bed was VERYYYY comfy!😍 The A/C worked perfectly and kept us cool 😎.

I didn't like NOT having a microwave in the room. It was VERY inconvenient to have to keep going up and down the stairs carrying different food items during the day and night to cook or warm up. VERY VERY inconvenient! The fridge was a little strange, storage-wise and the freezer didn't work... but nothing horrible.

Stayed in a large room with two queen size beds. It was great for 2-4 people, very clean and modern looking. Mini refrigerator was cold when we got there. Hotel is near many restaurants within walking and driving distance and seemed to be in a safe but busy business area. Offered basic continental breakfast items like bagels, toast, fruits, waffles, coffee, milk and juices, but, no hot cooked foods like eggs. Did not get to use pool or sauna but they looked nice. Cheap overnight parking conveniently accessible by sidewalk and elevator.

Bed bases were metal so it was a bit noisy if you bumped into it with your feet.

For the price, the location is good, room was adequate, parking was good, staff was friendly. There is an elevator and luggage carts to help with check in and check out.

Can't close the actual curtains, just the sheer ones, so you can see into the rooms at night if the lights are on. Also, the light from the common areas sines into the rooms so if you need a completely black space to sleep, it's not ideal. The beds are not comfortable, but I acknowledge that this is a lower-end price point and am overall happy with my stay for one night.

It was lovely and modern and relatively quiet given there are quite a few rooms there. Lovely shower and 1 mile walk to the beach. The walks hilly but through beautiful houses and as we visited in October it was cool to see all the Halloween decorations. Staff were helpful. Breakfast was good- although we only grabbed a few pastries and some fruit as it was busy- and they also had a much needed laundry room. 2 dollars to wash and the same to dry. A big Target store 2 mins walk and a starbucks across the road.

Comfy bed, free parking, coffee machine in the room and unexpected free breakfast, which was not mentioned during booking. In general, we enjoyed our stay, location seemed safe, no homeless or weird people spotted.

The bed had some metal border which you hit everytime you approach the bed and it makes some loud sounds. Also, we received a complaint from our neighbours from the first floor (we were on the 2nd) about being loud walking. Despite we were not loud at all I can assume that sound isolation is not that good. Also, usuals LA problem, people smoking cannabis everywhere so the whole hotel smelled .

The room far exceeded my expectations, was clean, a very large room featuring beautiful artwork. The location was great value for money and the pool was relatively quiet and relaxing.

The breakfast was disappointing and the fact there was no bar/restaurant available for buying drinks was a shame. For half of my stay the vending machine wasn't functioning also, but there's a Target nearby.

The room was spacious, with comfy beds, really good bathroom. We thought there was no free breakfast, but it turns out they offer some good snacks as a breakfast, so coudn't complain either! There's a lovely walk (1.3km-ish) from the hotel to manhattan beach. The neighborhood was really good too; the hotel is close to some good supermarkets and there's a lifesaving Panda Express 400m away from the property. In regard to public transportation, there's one bus line serving the area, and we could get by with it whenever we need to go to other places. Moreover, the hotel handled our delivered packages securely, which was appreciated.

Absolutely nothing.

Staff was very nice. Housekeepers changed our towels and trash every day, they were very nice and kind. Room has everything that we needed. Very surprising was the free breakfast, but they were very very simple, but it was okay with us, we aren’t picky. Location is perfect and hotel has its own parking which was very nice!

Perhaps buy a night light on a night stand, also some art. It would make the room more cozier than it is now. We read reviews before about the smell from the disinfection in the room, which was true, but it didn’t bother us that much. The pool area should have closing time, otherwise there are people talking there until late at night, which is very bothering if you’re tying to sleep.

A very nice hotel and great location.

Mattress was too firm for me. Did not like the metal skirting around the bed. We were always hitting it with our feet, and that made a banging sound. The waffle iron never worked. They should have removed it rather than have people try to make a waffle and have it so stuck.
