Was very impressed with The Wave, totally surprised us, spotless clean, beautiful large room, fridge, coffee maker, massive shower, pool, iron, hairdryer, toiletries and breakfast was included with our stay, great location 17$ Uber from airport and 8$ to beach or 25 min walk, Target A few doors up and great bar on the road crossing with great value and best steaks and food we had, highly recommend The Wave for the price and facilities, special thank you to Francis at reception for her kindness.

For the price, the location is good, room was adequate, parking was good, staff was friendly. There is an elevator and luggage carts to help with check in and check out.

Can't close the actual curtains, just the sheer ones, so you can see into the rooms at night if the lights are on. Also, the light from the common areas sines into the rooms so if you need a completely black space to sleep, it's not ideal. The beds are not comfortable, but I acknowledge that this is a lower-end price point and am overall happy with my stay for one night.

Comfy bed, free parking, coffee machine in the room and unexpected free breakfast, which was not mentioned during booking. In general, we enjoyed our stay, location seemed safe, no homeless or weird people spotted.

The bed had some metal border which you hit everytime you approach the bed and it makes some loud sounds. Also, we received a complaint from our neighbours from the first floor (we were on the 2nd) about being loud walking. Despite we were not loud at all I can assume that sound isolation is not that good. Also, usuals LA problem, people smoking cannabis everywhere so the whole hotel smelled .

It was lovely and modern and relatively quiet given there are quite a few rooms there. Lovely shower and 1 mile walk to the beach. The walks hilly but through beautiful houses and as we visited in October it was cool to see all the Halloween decorations. Staff were helpful. Breakfast was good- although we only grabbed a few pastries and some fruit as it was busy- and they also had a much needed laundry room. 2 dollars to wash and the same to dry. A big Target store 2 mins walk and a starbucks across the road.

Nothing.

The room was spacious, with comfy beds, really good bathroom. We thought there was no free breakfast, but it turns out they offer some good snacks as a breakfast, so coudn't complain either! There's a lovely walk (1.3km-ish) from the hotel to manhattan beach. The neighborhood was really good too; the hotel is close to some good supermarkets and there's a lifesaving Panda Express 400m away from the property. In regard to public transportation, there's one bus line serving the area, and we could get by with it whenever we need to go to other places. Moreover, the hotel handled our delivered packages securely, which was appreciated.

Absolutely nothing.

Staff was very nice. Housekeepers changed our towels and trash every day, they were very nice and kind. Room has everything that we needed. Very surprising was the free breakfast, but they were very very simple, but it was okay with us, we aren’t picky. Location is perfect and hotel has its own parking which was very nice!

Perhaps buy a night light on a night stand, also some art. It would make the room more cozier than it is now. We read reviews before about the smell from the disinfection in the room, which was true, but it didn’t bother us that much. The pool area should have closing time, otherwise there are people talking there until late at night, which is very bothering if you’re tying to sleep.

I like that Breakfast was included. Rooms were pretty. The rooms were bigger than most for the price so that was nice too. staff was very sweet and mostly accommodating.

I asked the lady about the late checkout and was told that if I let them know ahead of time I wouldn't get charged the $20 and in the morning I asked them about it and there was a miscommunication about that I guess. Which wasn't a big deal because the front desk lady asked the person from the night before and they said they would waive the fee since I was told I wouldn't have to pay the 20 as I asked beforehand. But the thing that was a little iffy was that I had my check out set for 11:30 and well not to say too much information..... But we were walked in on about 30 to 40 minutes before my check out. We were definitely caught in a moment where we would have appreciated our privacy. But overall staff was friendly and food was ok, but there wasn't any waffles Lol

The concierge made it his priority to ensure we had a parking spot in the parking deck since some guests parked really badly, taking up more then their spot. He was personable and welcoming even though we checked in so late. The room we received was spacious and has three queen sized beds, fitting all five of us without needing to worry about uncomfortable pull out beds.

The bedroom has some minor garbage, such as coffee wrapping paper that wasn’t picked up. The air conditioner in the outer room worked but really loud with some occasional ring or buzz to it that made it hard to ignore.

Large and very clean room. Surprisingly dead quiet at night, despite of the highway proximity. Shower pressure good. Property looks like it has been recently refreshed (actually looks better in person than on the pictures). Very helpful staff. Breakfast included, which was a nice surprise. Totally loved the location (upscale, clean, no crime/dodgy ppl, walking distance to the beach).

The only thing we didn’t like was a noisy heater/cooler (looks like an old technology)

Good location and good price for one night before flight from LAX the next day (15min taxi). Located on a fairly busy road but our room faced the other direction so noise wasn’t a problem. Gelsons supermarket opposite with a nice selection of takeaway food. 20+ minute walk to the coast and proper Manhattan Beach amenities but we like to walk so this didn’t bother us (a bit hilly so the walk may not suit everyone). Staff very friendly and accommodating. Pool looked nice but we arrived too late and it was too cold to use it.

The room’s decor is fairly basic and the mattress wasn’t the most comfortable but for the price and ease of access to LAX it worked perfectly for our needs.
