An old hotel that has been restored into a bit of boutique hotel style… It is a charming design and the beds are very comfortable. Be sure to get a courtyard or beach view room, otherwise your window faces in extremely busy and trafficked street The beds were comfy, and the room redone, but one could also tell it was a bit of an old hotel with a facelift. One great benefit is covered and secure overnight parking off the street… You do need to pay $30 for that, but it is worth it.

I liked that it had a sitting area where you could see the beach, play pool, read out in the chairs. The staff was kind and I liked how they had a breakfast area inside the hotel for morning coffee/tea & food. Parking is cheaper than some areas and seemed safe.

The hot tub was kind of murky and dirty appearing. The bed was also too firm for my liking. Our room and the hot tub/pool area were right beside the road. You can clearly hear the noise from the busy road throughout the day and night. It didn’t contribute to a very relaxing time when you were out by the hot tub and constantly hearing cars speed off or honk their horns.

The location is great: ten minutes from the beach but not “beachy”. Close to grocery stores and amenities. The room and general areas were hip and spotless.

There was no bar soap provided, which is just a personal preference. The rooms facing Sepulveda are loud, even with the air con and a white noise machine on. We needed a crib and the staff said it would be in our room upon check-in and it wasn’t. When we reminded the clerk upon checking-in, they forgot a second time.

Easy to find and good car parking, the hotel was well decorated throughout the building. Rooms comfortable and had everything we needed a fridge,microwave and iron and a board. It Took us 15 mins to walk to the beach and when you get to beach you’ve got the choice of hermosa bars and restaurants one way or manhattan beach bars and restaurants in the other direction. Just outside the hotel is a supermarket and other local amenities and further down the highway towards the airport direction is target and other eateries like IHOP . We hired bikes from hermosa cycles very good service which I recommend doing. If you are wanting to go further to Hollywood Santa Monica etc both took about 30 min drive depending on traffic! Hotel also had a coffee shop and get breakfast items

Can’t use revolute/monzo cards to pay with to try and skip the uk fees from the banks but that’s just a personal dislike nothing against the hotel.

Location. Close to supermarket. Easy to walk down to Hermosa Beach on the nature trail at the foot of the hill. Handy to LAX for flights. After reading previous reviews, I chose another room option away from the main road. Bed was really comfy. Room had tea/coffee, fridge etc. Pool was clean. We were able to use it after check out, awaiting our evening flight.

You’re right across the street from a coffee shop, donut shop, grocery store, and a restaurant. And if you like to walk, you’re also only about a 15 minute walk from the beach! You can see a great city view from the patio too. I think if your room is on the third floor, you may also be able to see the sunset.

There is only one small elevator and it is used a lot, so if you’re able, just take the stairs, otherwise you will be waiting a long time. Also, parking is $18 a night and is not included in the initial payment. If you plan to park elsewhere, make sure to let the front desk know.

Great place for families with children! Friendly, professional staff. The location from the beach was further than expected but nothing that would stop me from returning. We took the trail from behind the hotel to the pier and it was a nice easy walk. Didn’t take more than 15 min. I would go back to Hotel Hermosa.

The rooms are little old feeling, can use some updating. However, it wouldn’t stop me from referring someone to this hotel or from going back myself.

Stylish and up-to-date rooms with good decor and comfy beds. Really nice and helpful staff. Spot that is not too far from the beach and Pier Ave. Simple but good "beach cafe" for when you dont want to go out. right across the street from a huge health foods market.

Be sure to get a courtyard or sea-view room. The "city view" is right on Pacific Coast Hwy 1 and a very busy traffic corner. I am glad I chose a courtyard room as it made it much quieter.

great location , walk to the beach easily and stores all nearby.

room furniture was dated and needed replacing. front desk staff were ok. nothing exceptional , not friendly , personable or welcoming. no thanks, no hello, waited for check in , looked like we woke up the clerk. very uninterested.

Close to beach, airport and supermarket and great little coffee place across the street. Beautiful ocean view from large terrace. Friendly staff and very nice shared areas. Easy parking access.

Within room, there is no work desk. Property is more geared towards leisure or more relaxed business traveler. No room service or food options late at night.
