Great location to downtown Hermosa, the Pier the beach. Walking to everything was easy. Grocery store, CVS, restaurants, bike rental next door, great little Mexican restaurant next door. Big room, great balcony.

Had the heat on & the unit made an awful sound. Either needs a new compressor or replacemen. Lamp/click combo without directions how to set. Alarm kept going off, could only unplug it to make it stop. DirectTV was stuck on 1 Chanel. No directions for how remotes worked. Just need instructions added to the rooms

Great small hotel with prime location at the beach and short walking distance to food and beach fun. The hotel has free parking. We enjoyed the beach, walking along The Strand walking/bike path, renting beach stuff from Jeffers Beach rental, enjoying the best breakfast at La Playita and Good Stuff, walking the pier and enjoying the restaurants there and along Pier Ave. The hotel is walking distance to the Comedy and Magic Club, starring Jay Leno every Sunday. Easy to and from the airport. A great place.

Nothing to complain about AT ALL. This is not a 4-star hotel, and it is not trying to be. For the price, you get a VERY nice room with very comfortable beds and FANTASTIC location. Room cleaning service was top notch!!

I am familiar with the neighborhood and needed 4 nights to stay. Since I was traveling alone, my priority was safety, location and cleanliness. There are no amenities like a lobby or food service but for this trip, I wasn't looking for that. Coffee was available in the room and the room was large enough to spread out. Anything you could possibly need is steps away...including the beach!

We had a nice large room on the second level looking out towards the ocean. The view was spectacular! The local is also fantastic and close to everything in Hermosa Beach in particular Pier Avenue/Mall which is very close. Front desk staff are very helpful and accommodating. Parking on site was also very welcome.

The common hallway areas could do with an update. It would be nice to have a small lounge in the rooms - the rooms are certainly big enough to accommodate them. It also would have been nice to have somewhere to put our clothes. There is only a small space for hanging clothes and not much else. If you are happy to keep your clothes in a suitcase, then this wouldn't be an issue for you.

One of our favorite places to stay! Location, staff, rooms, everything is amazing! The Smart TV was a nice bonus too. Absolutely no issues during check-in. We arrived at 3 PM and had to wait only 15-20 minutes for the room to be ready. If you book here, you won't regret it.

During check-out, our car was blocked from exiting. We understand, because one time we were told to park in front of another car in the lot, and we were the ones who had to back out in the morning to let the other car leave. However, this was a bit of an inconvenience overall (on both occasions) – I would hope in the future, the 1-car per booking is enforced, so all people who paid and booked here have a parking spot.

The Grandview is in an excellent location near the beach and a number of excellent restaurants. The hotel is clean and quiets, The towels and bedding are new and of high quality. I was in an ADA suite which I understand are required and important rooms but the open shower troubled me because the bathroom floor gets wet. Just a minor annoyance. My room did not have a beach view but was still fine, Th.e parking is great

I have a thing about disposable (paper/plastic) cups. I think at this level hotel a nice coffee mug and a good glass is an amenity that makes things nicer. Also, and I don't know if this is an ADA thing, but other than the bed there were not any comfortable guest chairs in the room.

Location was awesome. Walkable to everything. Enjoyed the ocean view from the balcony. Small kitchenette was convenient. Cute Mexican restaurant next door and bike rentals super easy. Room was clean.

Hotel very basic and lacked charm. Plexiglass at the check in desk. Had to sign off on late departure fees at check in. It felt low budget and cold. No art on the walls. Carpet desperately needs to be replaced or at least repaired where fraying.

The location is the best thing going for this hotel. The king size bed was very comfortable which for me is a must. I had a small view from my balcony down the alley of the ocean.

I think the carpet on the stairs and in the hallway desperately needs to be changed out. The no curtain in the bathroom was not good as water is all over the floor despite my best efforts to keep it isolated in the shower area, making the floor extremely dangerous and slippery when wet.

Great location, short distance from the beach, nice view from the balcony. Parking Garage is a great plus. Romeo was very supportive, especially late during the day when the parking garage was full he still helped us and rearranged parking to accommodate our car. Room (w/ ocean view) had a very good size and was well equipped with amenities. Grandview Inn is two blocks over from Hermosa Avenue, offering various dining and bar options, directly in front of the Hermosa Beach pier.

First accommodation where the fridge was noisier than the air condition unit. While you have a nice view and adequate space on the balcony, be mindful that the hotel is located directly behind the La Playita Mexican Restaurant, which doesn't block the view but certainly gives you a taste (smell) from the daily cookings due to the exhaust on the roof of the restaurant. Not too bothersome but just to keep in mind. Other than that the hotel was a good deal for what and the location that it offered.

We booked the Grandview Inn for one night on our return from Las Vegas before heading back to the UK. We couldn't have been more pleased. The hotel is situated a few minutes walk from the beach where there is a good choice of restaurants and bars. The room was spacious and comfortable with a fridge, microwave and coffee making machine. They think of everything and were happy for us to leave our car in the garage for a hour after we checked out whilst we had a last walk along the front and a spot of breakfast before heading off to Venice Beach. PS: In our view, Hemosa was far better than Venice!

No negative comments. We would definitely stay at the Grandview again.
