There was a family gathering of about 35 people. Five of the families were staying at the Mount Shasta resort and the rest were at the lake siskiyou campground. We love that was a area with tables and barbecues where we could all gather for an evening meal. The staff could not have been more helpful or responsive whenever we needed anything. The view from patio was beautiful. We have been here before and will come again.

That we didn't have the time to stay even longer.

The area is lovely. Forest and the lake combination is amazing. The cottage was well maintained and large. Heating and aircon are both very effective. Parking in front of the villa is convenient and free. Leave the luggage in the car, go to the reception in the main building and then drive to your cottage/villa.

The food at the restaurant was nothing to shout about. The restaurant is a bit stuffy however the sitting areas outside are out of this world.

It was quiet for two nights and comfy and the heater worked perfectly.

I had a middle chalet of 3 chalets. The first two nights I had no neighbors. Night #3 I had neighbors on both sides and I could hear voices on one side well into midnight. Not loud but droning, mumbling. Hard to sleep after two nights of quiet. If I am staying solo, why not put me in a room by myself--especially in the off season when there are so many vacant chalets?

The location is beautiful, and the rooms were comfortable. We stayed in the Woodland rooms, not the Chalet. Their front desk is super responsive, and someone was there in minutes when we asked for a fresh set of towels. We loved that there were empty tennis courts, but we were there mid-week before the summer rush. We also loved the restaurant. The food in Mt Shasta is so expensive, so we thought the hotel restaurant would be overpriced as well, but it wasn't bad. The restaurant has a lovely deck overlooking the golf course, with an amazing view of the mountain.

There is no lobby with coffee, and town is a car ride away. The rooms should be better equipped with coffee/tea/hot water in order to allow for decent coffee in the morning. Be sure to bring your own body lotion and conditioner, as there is none offered in the rooms.

The lake view was great. The unit was very spacious and met our needs. The kitchen was adequate. Proximity to golf at the Resort, the beach at Siskiyou Lake and Castle Lake, a plus. The pleasant town of Mt. Shasta offered breakfast and dinner restaurant choices.

The TV was difficult to figure out. For some reason, there is only one shower available, but we had no problem taking turns.

We loved our short stay at Mount Shasta Resort. Wish we could stay longer to enjoy spa services and try a restaurant on site, maybe another time :) We found a swimming beach area within Lake Siskiyou campground facilities and paid $3 per person to use it. It’s about 2.5 miles from our chalet. Restaurant’s menu was appealing but we didn’t have a chance to try it. Loved the chalets style accommodations, very private.

There were tons of mosquitoes around the chalet, understandably due to the lake location. Every time you open the door, they just storm inside. At some point during check in, we got hundreds of them inside. But we called room service and they came quickly, sprayed everything with Raid and wiped clean and even left Raid bottle for us to use. We never got bitten during our stay. Wish they had breakfast even if not free but available during breakfast hours.

There were gorgeous views of MT SHASTA from the restaurant. The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. Directions to the Chalet helped us find it and we were pleased by the location by the lake.

The AC made so much noise that we could not get a good night's sleep. We tried adjusting it -- and even turing it off -- but the unit in our room (or the one next door) kept cycling on and off, and we could not sleep well. We were so disappointed, because we had a long drive home the next day. Otherwise, the Mt. Shasta Resort would RATE a 10+ from us!

The view of the lake from the balcony of Cabin 109 is wonderful and very peaceful. The resort is close to restaurants and the grocery stores. There is a wonderful walking trail around the lake.

The restaurant at the resort is closed on Monday and Tuesday.

What breakfast? Fabulous location.

I called to see if I could come in a day early. I wasn't able to get a room so I just kept the original reservation. Fine. What I did not like was the attitude of the person I spoke with. I was not made to feel welcome or valued. She was rather..... snobby. (to put it nicely). Then, when I sent my 20 year old daughter to the front desk to inquire of an early check in, she encounter4ed the same feeling of lack of appreciation and welcome. The facility is certainly very nice and I don't mind paying the higher rate than other properties in the area, but I would be more inclined to give my business to those that value and welcome my patronage. I thought you should know.

Looking a bit dated. Vending does not take credit cards, only $1 bills. Cash machine in lodge no working. No extra toilet paper in room.
