Due to uncertainty over circumstances that may have delayed our trip, we booked the Oakhurst Inn as a base for spending 3 nights near Yosemite very last minute. The Inn is what you'd expect from 2 star accommodation, but with a few really nice benefits. Firstly, the room size was generous. Secondly, the self-serve breakfast was super efficient and included with the standard booking - this was really helpful when we were up early to get to the hiking trails. Locaiton wise, you are ~20mins from the south entrance of Yosemite (~45mins from the valley itself), which is about as good as you're going to get unless you booked well in advance to stay inside the park or have plenty $$$ to spare. The town has everything you need and was a great base for our stay.

The soundproofing in the rooms isn't the best, though my experience of cheap through to very fancy hotels is that this is the case in most places, so it would be unfair to say this is a specific issue of the Oakhurst Inn. We had some loud footed neighbours above us, but nothing that caused issues - some long hikes in Yosemite and we slept like babies every night!

The location was great! If you are exploring South Yosemite, especially Mariposa Grove, it's less then half an hour from there. There are many restaurants around the area and the view was lovely. It was the perfect place to stay one night after a long day of hiking!

The breakfast area had a lot of bees outside so there was no where to sit.

Noise levels were minimum so lack of sleep was never due to noisy neighbors. This is the number one thing that makes a stay good or bad for our family.

Beds weren't super comfy, but they were ok. Really didn't like that there was as spotlight on the building across the way that illuminated our room so much that we woke up thinking it was day time already....but it was actually just the light. Also the shower was not super easy to set and it leaked a lot. Shower curtain could have been cleaned better or replaced. Breakfast was crowded and eating area small and not super clean.

The Oakhurst Inn at Yosemite is such a cute and tidy spot — nothing super fancy, but it’s got everything you need. It’s a one-floor hotel with a chill, countryside vibe that honestly felt very "authentic American road trip." The layout makes it super easy to park and access your room, which I appreciated. Oakhurst itself is a small town, but surprisingly convenient — CVS, restaurants, and shops are all within 10 minutes. The hotel is about 20 minutes from Yosemite’s South Gate (we left around 6 AM to beat the crowds!). We only had breakfast there once since we were headed out early most days, but it was solid! Classic offerings like cereal, yogurt, fresh DIY waffles, scrambled eggs, and sausage. Just enough to fill us up before we hit the road. Yosemite was absolutely breathtaking, and I’m already planning my next trip. When I go back, I’ll definitely consider staying at The Oakhurst Inn again. Great value and perfect location for exploring the park!

Very comfortable hotel with free breakfast, large size rooms and good cleaning service. I stayed with my husband for our first Yosemite Park hiking vacation. We love location being close to everything and enjoyed the hotels amenities in between hikes. Pricing was more affordable to other places but value was amazing. Parking is easy to find at night. Bass lake 10 mins away was a good place to start connecting with the nature, at nights we went to casino, my husbands favorite activity it was only in 15 minutes drive. During hot day time we loved the air conditioning. And having a fridge made it easy to pack our lunches and keep our snacks and drinks cold before we leave to Yosemite park which was 1,5 hours drive from the forest road.

Pool and bath tub was okay but could be better

The staff were all super friendly and helpful. Let me have an hour later check out upon request. I really enjoyed the breakfast, waffles, sausages, omelettes, what not to love. Beds were quite comfortable. It was a very convenient location for our day trip to Yosemite NP but we liked being in a town with all the shops, restaurants and services. Our room was a good size for us to pack ALL our bags for our long haul flight.

Small gripe. The breakfast area was quite crowded and congested and the pillows weren't super comfortable but I'm quite fussy. Also although every time I had a shower it was hot my daughter did have a tepid shower one night

The staff was nice, Leslie, the front desk clerk, was gracious, and patient with all the guest. The room was clean, with a microwave,, mini fridge and coffee maker. My favorite Mexican restaurant was right across the street from the hotel, so I didn't have to drive, for dinner. The price of the hotel was reasonable for those on a budget

I didn't like that the TV wasn't working properly, only 1 stations came in clear, the other one was Spanish speaking stations. It would have been nice to watch a good movie after checking in for the evening. The hotel has installed a $100.00 security deposit, that's refundable, in case people trash or demange the room. My advice Don't Trash out the rooms.

Everything was great! Breakfast was great! Great location for Yosemite and the lake and other activities. I stayed for 5 days and it was perfect. Diane the breakfast lady made great meals and keeps the area clean and stocked with food items. We loved the mattress! Never woke up with a backache like I do at home. The only thing is we had low water pressure when showering but that was still okay. What I loved about the Inn was the plants/garden around the facility. Very well kept facility. I’d recommend to anyone and if I went back to this area, I’d stay there again. The stay made my vacation great!

We booked here because everything else was booked. The rooms were super clean, bathroom was clean, bed was comfortable and there was lots of ice and a fabulous water filter and lots of ice where we could fill our water bottle. The staff was friendly.

The breakfast needs to start earlier for the tour takers. On day two, the coffee machine broke. No one had fixed it by day three and there was no attempt at getting a carafe of coffee until much later.

It was conveniently located 15mins from the South Gate of Yosemite. Although we didn’t try it, it had breakfast included and just what we needed w/o a hefty price tag. All areas of the property were lite, so we felt safe leaving our cars. 

We stayed there for 6days and housekeeping didn’t check to see if we needed anything until the day before we left. We did have an issue with/our toilet and once I told front desk they did have someone come out to fix it, but staff isn’t the friendliest like they were there to make friends if u kno what I mean. But when u see so many ppl I guess I prob wouldn’t be either. Our fridge froze everything, that was a pain.
