Love this Hampton Inn. Staff are super friendly and accomodating. The room was cozy and quiet. The beds are super comfy. Not too hard or soft. The TV was huge, has real cable with a great selection of channels and the remotes worked very well. The AC in the room ran great and I really appreciated it didn't make some weird noise like a lot of other hotel AC's. The hotel breakfast was ok, it was better when we stayed a few years ago. We were there three nights but only ended up eating it twice. The first morning the only meat option was a vegan sausage which was not good. Second morning they had sausage links. This hampton inn does a little egg omelette thing that is ok. They used to do bacon and scrambled eggs which is the best in our opinion, so we missed that. Still, the waffles are bomb. People complain about a homeless encampment...when we stayed there was a small encampment behind the hotel but upon closer inspection the encampment is actually separated from the hotel by a large ditch/water runoff thing. They are really a good distance from the hotel. We did notice a few tweakers here and there walking through the far end of the parking lot but never experienced and real trouble. Overall a great stay and will be staying here again!

Gustavo checked us in and was very kind and welcoming. He made sure we were happy and satisfied with our stay. Our room was beautiful, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was fresh and delicious with a great variety. I really love how complimentary coffee, tea and hot cocoa is always available in the lobby. Location was convenient. Facility was very clean and quiet. Many thanks to Gustavo for being so kind and friendly and the rest of the staff including the young woman who checked us out for making our stay wonderful, welcoming and comfortable. Can’t wait to stay there again.

Everything was great

Everything was amazing but I do feel very strongly that BOOKING.com needs to let guests know before they pay that there is a charge for incidentals. As this trip for me was very costly coming from down south I had a very tight budget but needed to stay somewhere that was close to the freeway and not in a horrible location like most other hotels in Salinas are. Luckily I had extra money for the incidental cost. I just think it’s important to set expectations! What would’ve happened if I had not had that extra money? I would’ve lost all my money I paid for the room because the money was non refundable. So please do better in sharing that type of information.

The hotel tried charging me for water bottles. That was stupid.. and the lady on the phone was very rude when I asked for the water.

Breakfast was good only thing food staff in the cafeteria area should continue to keep breakfast items filled even toward the end of the breakfast time people staying at the hotel we’re still going in to get breakfast looking for more breakfast items even last minute to grab some breakfast. Hotel is clean and a pleasant atmosphere staff was very friendly I would stay here again

Only thing I saw was breakfast items selections should be refilled even close to the breakfast time ending a lot of people were still coming looking for breakfast and they’re were very little selection left and coffee should always be available and not running out.

The breakfast/hangout room was the best of anywhere we've ever stayed. We even had family game nights because there was so much space available with tables and comfortable seating!

We knew it was close to the freeway; we didn't realize on the freeway side of the building (where our room was) was practically butting up against the on and off ramps. Traffic did settle down in the middle of the night; but it was louder than we would have liked.

The bed was comfortable, and the room was quiet. Breakfast was better than most because they offered a breakfast sandwich with sausage, egg, and cheese on an English muffin. There was also a large bowl of fresh mixed berries.

They need to replace the toilets with normal-height ones instead of very low ones. The breakfast bar's scrambled eggs, sliced kielbasa, and potatoes were as bad as those at every other hotel, but the sandwiches were great.

Breakfast was great! Thank you so much! The location was not great in that my friend had her bike rack stolen off of her car in the middle of the night even though it had two locks on it locking it to her vehicle. She had two bikes to transport the next morning to the bike race plus kids and gear. Major headache for her. She has another race coming up and is not able to bring a second bike because she cannot afford a bike rack. I liked that Starbucks was right there in the morning too. I am addicted to coffee.

Better lighting or security for parking lot?

The staff person Adan who checked us in was super friendly. The hotel was very clean and comfortable. I loved how spacious our room was and the layout. I really like how they have coffee, tea, water and hot chocolate available in the lobby at all hours. Breakfast was delicious and had a variety of foods/drinks to choose from. We really enjoy staying here every time we come. Can't wait to stay here again.

Staff was great, beds were comfortable, breakfast was awesome, pool & gym was excellent, even though my restroom was looking a little outdated I have to say this is one of the best Hampton Inns I’ve stayed at in all of California, Thankyou for the great stay!!!

The property was nice. The room was clean and the location was quiet or at least my room was.

I think the breakfast could’ve been a little bit better. I didn’t really care for the egg dish and the coffee seems to be situated outside the main eating area, which is kind of odd otherwise overall experience was fine.
