The property is well maintained inside and outside. It’s all fresh and clean and up to date. The only thing I have to say negatively is the beds while not unbearable they are on the hard side and the bed stand is metal and when kick it (which you will every time you get on the bed) it sounds like a steel drum. The couple that owns the Wagon Wheel are very kind. My kids left their door open before we left and they kept an eye on the room and went to lock it up. We stayed in 2 rooms, my Husband and I in one and our boys in the one next door. My brother and his family also stayed in the family room. Its odd but if you have lots of people the 3 beds are going to work out well. There are also walk in closets in each room and nice furniture. All in all…price was right, nice place to stay…definitely going back next time I go to the Monterey area.

There must have been some pretty crazy customers in the past. There are signs everywhere that if you mess up the towels or sheets with body oil, food, make up etc that you’ll be charged up to 250.00 for cleaning and/or replacement of the ruined items. When you get to the property they charge you for your room and separately give you a charge slip for a hold placed on your room of 200.00 and they don’t except debit cards. Of you don’t have enough room on your credit card there will be a problem.

I thought it was going to be bad but it turned out to be a good spot. Really central and within walking distance from alot of stores and restaurants. Would stay here again if i would to travel back to salinas.

The bed was not that comfortable.maybe needs an upgrade.

Our room was very clean. The beds were comfy. The property overall including the parking lot were well maintained. The TV worked well, as did the cable and WIFI. The motel is located on Main St, close to everything. Exterior lighting on the premises were good, making you feel secure. You can see the whole parking lot when you walk outside.

There were not enough pillows, and very limited soap in the bathroom.

The motel was clean and comfortable. it was nice to have your own numbered parking spot in front of your room. Shower was a step in with a grab bar. We brought a shower chair to accommodate my husband.

No amenities. No room cleaning unless requested Only one small patty of soap.

The owners run the place. They were very friendly and accommodating. I stayed an extra night just because I really liked the place and I was pretty tired too. Great location too! Walking distance to a 99 Cents store, liquor store, some restaurants and a barber school for a cheap haircut.

I liked everything. I don’t have anything bad to say.

I don’t like having to go through Booking.com to make my reservation. They are confusing and not helpful. The staff at the Wagon Wheel are very nice and accommodating. They are very helpful

This location is really close to attractions in Monterrey and has a lot of great restaurants close by. The staff was friendly, the showers hot and the atmosphere country western (yeehaw). I would definitely stay here again.

there wasn't anything i did not like. food close by. vending machines a plus.
