We came to this area for a spontaneous trip to explore beaches and hopefully find a spot to pitch a tent, lol. Of course, there was nothing available. So, it was pretty late that night, we were searching for stays for about 2 hours. All we wanted was to sleep wherever. And then found Best Western! When we arrived, the staff greeted us warmly and made us feel like valued guests! The service was exceptional. David, who checked us in, and Peter, who checked us out, were always available to assist us with any request or provide recommendations on local attractions. Their genuine care and personalized attention made me feel like I was not just another guest. I've been to 5-star hotels and never felt the way I did at Best Western. Believe me. The hotel's amenities were top-notch, with everything I needed and more. The complimentary breakfast was delicious, offering a variety of fresh options to start the day on a high note. You can even make your own fresh waffles!😍 The peaceful ambiance of the hotel added to the overall experience, allowing me to unwind and relax completely after a long trip! Thank you so much for everything. It was the best experience so far after I moved to the US one year ago!

Staff mostly friendly and facility clean and modern updates. Breakfast is very good.

I stayed in a suite that faces front of building which in my opinion is very noisy from McDonald's and In out burger drive thru very noisy until 1 am. Switched to rear facing rooms and only slight highway noise

The staff was above and beyond my expectations and made my stay over 15 days enjoyable. Most importantly when in evitable problems cropped up quickly and competently resolve those problems so they did not affect my stay. This included issues with the hardwired Internet and the timing of cleaning the room, they also help me with some unpredictable extensions of my stay due to work obligations. I cannot say enough about how good this staff is and I would never stay anywhere else in Salinas for this reason I have had the good fortune to stay in hotels of high-quality all around the world, including the four seasons, and I have never seen a better hotel staff.

Breakfast was excellent. Oatmeal packets were available and nonsweetened, as well as nonsweetened plant milk. Both are mainstays of my diet, so that was very useful. The room was spotless, everything worked, the bed was comfortable.

Quite a bit of street noise in my room, which faced onto Kern.

Loved the staff - front desk as well as room staff: Lovely location - we slept to the sounds of waves and woke up to the sounds of the birds. Very relaxing.

Breakfast was a disappointment! We look forward to the breakfast room experience and company, and the lack of Bread/bun with Butter/Jam, Waffles, Oat Meal etc. was a let down. The ocean stink on Day 1. Quickly adjusted to it though.

Front desk staff was friendly and helpful. Room was clean and well cared for. The property was a bit dated and in a busy residential/commercial area but overall, for what we needed (a quick convenient place to stay for a short event) it was great. Prices are high, but that's expected for this area. I would recommend this hotel.

Dated facility. Hallways had a really strong gross odor but the room did not smell. The only way to explain the hallway odor is expired peanuts. It was VERY strong.

Good value for money with great amenities and a free breakfast included in our stay. The room was spacious and comfortable for a few nights. We didn’t use the pool as it was winter but it looked well maintained.

The location was a little sketchy and loud with the motorway but overall we were not bothered by anything in particular.

Customer service was above and beyond. Love the guy that was working there. He was attentive and very nice. Breakfast was very good. Alot of good varieties.

Right next to mcdonalds but at least they have more parking on the side just for the people that are staying there.

We liked everything! Rooms were clean and comfortable. Loved the shampoo and conditioner in the shower. Breakfast was decent. Eggs, sausage, waffles, oatmeal, pastries, fruit, juice and coffee. Lots to choose from. Lots of places to eat nearby as well. Just passing thru, so only stayed one night, but would definitely stay again!

The fridge made some weird noises throughout the night, like clicking noises (not the normal fridge coming on sound). It was a little annoying, but would still stay again!!

Friendly staff. It was clean. This is silly, but liked that there was a drink machine and drinks were only $1. They weren’t gouging their guests for a bottle of water.

Wish it had shelves in bathroom shower area to put shower toiletries. Had to pay extra $10 for a crib. Bed didn’t have a fitted sheet, only one sheet and a comforter.
