Super clean very large room with very comfortable beds. Good lighting in bathroom, with a makeup mirror. The lodge has a western theme so the walls were buttercream or tan, with a brown hued carpet & furniture and the marble in the bathroom was yellow/brown hues. I thought it would be dark and overwhelming but it wasn't, it was tastefully done and the beds had modern, not western bedding/linens. Easy parking and easy check in and out. It is right along Hwy 1 so I thought it would be noisy, but when the window was closed (has a screen so you could keep it open) it was silent. And the AC worked well, too. TV worked well too and had the sports channels to watch the baseball playoffs. I would totally return.

No breakfast offered, but Peet's coffee in the room. Wall mounted hairdryer worked well but not super powerful.

The property is perfectly located! it is minutes to downtown Monterey or a quick few minutes to seaside to stores if needed. the facility is clean and well maintained. the pool was the biggest highlight for the kids. they really went above and beyond to make my daughter feel special for her birthday even going as far as a personalized birthday card AND delicious chocolates for her as a present. there is a fridge and microwave in the room AND a keurig machine. it also has plenty of storage and modern fixtures and tv.

the beds could be updated. they’re very springy and firm and the pillows are also firm. give the option of plush squishy pillows.

I love the location. It is easy walking and driving distance to the annual tournament I attend at the Hyatt. Also convenient driving distance every morning for sunrise at the harbor, drives around the Pacific Grove coast and many excellent evening dining locations. I think the rooms are equal to or better than those at the Hyatt, and quieter. Hotel management is exceptionally helpful and accommodating year over year.

EV chargers would be nice.

The room was a very decent size, and beds were comfortable. We stayed 2 nights, and even though the lodge was full, all I heard from other people were the cars locking noise and some steps from the upper floor room. There was a small fridge, microwave and a coffee machine which was great for us.

The wifi is inexistent, so do not count on it for anything like streaming. The shower pressure was not very good, and the water didn't get super warm like we usually like, but it was not bad.

The room was large and very clean. Bed was comfortable and had many pillow choices. The bathroom was decent size and had nice white fluffy towels. We appreciated the refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The location was great for our weekend at the Laguna Seca races.

I would have appreciated some different options in the coffee pods other than the strong dark flavor that was the only choice.

It was a last minute booking as we were on our road trip en route to San Francisco. Staff were friendly. We didn't really explore what's around this location but we had a car rental so it was close to the places we drove to. Very nice and quiet. Comfortable bed, reasonable size of bathroom. On our day of check out, there was power cut and it was raining and really windy outside. So it was still quite dark and it was an interesting experience trying to get ready in the dark with our phones as the torches lol.

Nice rooms, very clean and well maintained. location is just outside of the city center in a residential area at a 5-15 min walk to the park (Dennis the Menace playground!), beach and the warf. The hotel has a nice outdoor seating area with a big table in case you want to bring a picnic or eat your (own) breakfast.

They had not resumed breakfast because of COVID-19, and I would have appreciated if they had a few items to take to go, even if it was just a granola bar or some fruit.

Ronald the owner was nice & friendly & has a awesome little family. We've stayed here before & will stay here again. We've tried several other places over the years & LOVE IT HERE. Nice, very clean, well kept & everything is updated & works good. The beds & linens are exceptionally nice & always clean. No traffic to worry about, no strangers out walking around, not in a row of motels but hidden in a quiet neighborhood about half a mile down the road from Dennis The Menace Park & The Warf. The only downside is that it's often sold out fast & getting a room or an extra day is hard because of all the repeat customers like us. WE LOVE THIS PLACE & PEOPLE, AWESOME INDEED.❤️❤️❤️

The rooms felt very spacious and ample. When entering the took it smelt like cleaning products which is a good thing. The room overall was very comfortable

The bed was a bit on the harder side. I woke up with back pain since I usually sleep on memory foam bed. The water pressure wasn’t as strong as I would’ve liked but it was still fine. And lastly whenever someone would go up the stairs we could hear them banging and their steps. The place was a bit on the pricier side but still more affordable than most other properties located in Monterey.

Property is very nice, I like the closed off parking lot inside. We also liked the designated smoking area, relaxing friendly and clean. Rooms were clean and bathroom was clean as well. This is a very nice place to stay that is within walking distance of the beach and wharf.

There isn’t anything we didn’t like. Although maybe reverse parking on the fence line side only & the pull parking only on building side would be cool. But overall doesn’t matter and still was able to park how I needed to unload.
