The room was quiet and the beds were comfortable. We all got a good night's sleep. The location is good, close to the beach areas without paying beach prices. There's also a Trader Joe's only a few blocks away.

There was a continuous gurgling noise in the walls. I suspect our room (#4) has the drain from the 2nd story running through the wall so we heard this water flow noise the whole time we were there. The parking lot should be restriped. There is a mix of old and new lines, making it hard in dark to tell exactly where each space was. A few cars ended up straddling spaces since it wasn't clear which set of lines to use.

I really enjoyed my stay at Villa Franca, the rooms were clean, tidy and fresh. My room had a homey feeling with fresh looking, relaxing paint and cute white window shudders. In the morning the light was creeping through the blinds and the room really felt like home. The beds were super comfy and the mini-split heating and cooling was quiet and effective. I had a great nights sleep. It was my favorite room of all the hotels I had stayed in on this trip. Oh, and the location is great, about 2-3 blocks from an amazing deep dish pizza place as well as a superb breakfast spot.

The bathroom was small for a family of four, but we definitely made it work. (And it was clean with abundant towels). I was worried there might be night time traffic noise, but there really wasn't, I slept well.

Room was very spacious for a 2 queen bed room from the common area to the bathroom. Appreciate the updates, including the quiet mini-split. The front desk staff was always very pleasant and friendly and helpful; the hot coffee in the lobby also tasted really good for hotel coffee.

The road that the hotel is situated off of is a bit noisy so you can hear a decent amount of road noise. Additionally, we seemed to have had quite a busy next door neighbour who stayed up late and blasted their TV. I always sleep with ear plugs so it didn't bother me too much but my friends reported having some noise disturb their sleep.

Room was clean, free coffee available all day in the reception area, the beds were comfortable, parking included. Super low key - check out was the easiest I’ve ever experienced. Did all we needed it to for 2 nights. Close to the tourist spots and trader joes.

The parking spaces are a little small, the ice machine was dirty with algae at the point where the ice is dispensed, slightly odd smell in the shower.

Compact and had everything we needed. Ample parking, very clean, comfortable bed and pillows, microwave and room heating.

We fortunately got our own microwaveable dishes and cutlery to use as these weren't provided. The shower starts from cold to hot, the cubicle is small, so on a cold day, you would need to be covered with cold water for a few seconds until you get to the warmth required. You can stay out of the cubicle until the knob is where the water is warm enough and then go in. It sounds complicated here, but you will understand what I mean when you are there. While there us an ice machine that's accessible all the time, drinking water is available only between 8am to 10pm, or when the manager is present. But the water from the sink in the room was said to be potable.

The hotel has everything you would want for a practical, comfortable, and affordable stay in Monterey. This is not a luxury accommodation but if you're spending your day out and about it's a nice place to come back to sleep in the evening. Our room was small but clean and tidy. The bed comfortable and in the room was a simple coffee maker. The bathroom included a tub. There was free coffee and tea and water in the lobby. The hotel staff were friendly.

This is a small, quaint hotel. Rooms are small, walls a little thin, but it was quiet after 10 and felt very safe.

I love the fact that they have EV charging available. They are located very close to the mall, and the area is safe and nice. I really enjoy their prices sometimes, as they can be affordable.

I don’t know if they can help it, but the walls are pretty thin, and the floors squeak. I forgot to ask to be placed up on top where I know I won’t be bothering people down below because I don’t thump on the floors. My neighbor on top was noisy, and I could hear snoring during the night.

I was actually really impressed with how clean the room and bathroom were - I could tell they put in a ton of effort to that and I was grateful! Parking was easy and free. Host and family was nice. Great location, walking distance to restaurants and coffee shops.

I mean it's a little dated but let's be real, a room doesn't have to be modern to be comfortable. No issues.

The staff of Inn were polite and friendly. They helped us with local recommendations. Check-in and check-out were easy and quick. Provided laundry service was very useful. Room was as expected. Shower was on a narrow side. Location of Inn was perfect - walking distance from all the main attractions of the town yet quite and peaceful. There was a nice park across the street.
