The rooms were comfortable size, well appointed, nice baths, good on-site parking, in the heart of Carmel-by-the-Sea near all the shops and restaurants. The staff were great. There was water dripping into our bathroom from above on the first morning (likely someone upstairs let water out of shower onto tile floor). It wasn't a lot and it didn't impact us, but we told the staff and within 15 minutes they offered to move us to an upgraded prmium room so that maintenace man could investigate the water. The premium room was larger than standard and had an electric fireplace, but the furniture, decor, and accessories were the same as thr standard room. There was also a bottle of wine waiting for us. Not sure if that was because of the water leak issue or its standard for a premium room, but either way we enjoyed it by the outdoor fireplace they light every evening. Finally, there are fresh baked cookies each day around 2pm in the lobby for guests to enjoy, and enjoy them we did!

They had a list of restaurants where one could get a small percentage off the meal. There was always someone in the lobby to help us. Parking was always available. We upgraded our room to have a room off the main street and one that had a couch, a fireplace, and bathtub spa which we didn't need. The condition of the room was immaculate.

I didn't like that the high price did not cover a premium room. I didn't like that there was no breakfast and the cookies they supplied instead were not baked well. The water cannisters we were given gave the water it held a nasty plastic taste. Change that before someoe gets sick.

Sarah on reception was very friendly and helpful, she took our bags into storage for us when we arrived earlier that expected thus enabling us to walk around the town unhindered. Room was lovely, well decorated with nice fittings and very comfortable. Being European a kettle and more tea bags in the room would be appreciated. Overall we were very happy with location a few streets away from main shoping area so a little quieter and the quality of the room.

I imagine rooms could get warm in high temperatures as no air conditioning. A basic breakfast service , even a vending machine with croissants/ fruit would be appreciated

I have so many wonderful things to say about my stay. I have wanted to visit Carmel for years and finally had the chance to this past weekend. The location is stunning, customer service A1, and the space is so cozy and welcoming! The fresh baked cookies in the lobby is such a nice touch. Everything is in walking distance so you don’t need to drive. If you are coming to the area you need to stay here! Can’t wait to come back!

The property is charming and the room stylish. The location is great. Our room was on the small side. When you open the door, it touches one of the queen beds. The other queen bed is right by the thin bathroom door. We loved the pretty outdoor fireplace and appreciated the reusable water bottles as well as the convenient hydration station. Overall we had a pleasant stay. It’s pricey but that’s Carmel. Parking was easy too.

Amber was super kind and very helpful upon checking me in as well as settling me up. The rooms were very spacious and clean. The bed was comfortable. The on site filtered water station was a nice bonus! Location was phenomenal. I liked the fact that there was free parking onsite.

Hmmm. I guess I wish the bathroom was a little bit bigger. The coffee machine broke in my room on day two but it was no big deal whatsoever.

This was lodging number five on a two week road trip with my (former) significant other from San Marcos to San Francisco. The location is pretty good, as the Main Street is just a few minutes away and to get there is a simple walk both to the shops and restaurants and to the beach. The staff was friendly and helpful and the cookies and tea at reception are great. Nice room, the jacuzzi was a definite plus. Should I return to Carmel someday, I would likely stay here again.

Nitpicking, but the insulation of the room was quite limited which meant that returning from a walk, it would be quite cold in the room. That being said it was winter and it was colder than usual for that area. The "fireplace" did heat the room back up quite quickly.

Most of the hotels in Carmel at this price point are motel style. I liked this one because there were windows on the backside of the room so you could get a cross breeze. The rooms are also a generous size and nicely appointed.

They would not turn the outdoor fireplace on until 4 o’clock. Regardless of how chilly it was outside. Trivial in comparison to how nice the rooms are, but I thought I’d mention

Staff was very accommodating and helpful. The place was clean inside and outside. There was a selection of fresh cookies for us when we arrived. Many things to see, including the beach within walking distance. There are no parking complaints. They have a water bottle refill station outside and a fire pit. Good water pressure. Tea, coffee, warm cookies & fruit were available in the morning. We received a pair of thermos :) It was excellent!
