Beautiful accommodations. Loved all the tile. We had a small dog with us so the room was perfect: right beside a grassy area. Nice pool.

I reserved through Booking.com and the price quoted was not the price I had to pay. It said it included “fees and taxes”. But on check in, had to pay for parking. And then another charge comes on my American Express bill and when I questioned that, they said it was for cleaning and parking. But when I checked out, I was told it was for incidentals. I should get it back because there were no incidentals. Frustrating that staff are not consistent in explaining charges. Still don’t know what the “cleaning” fee was. Waiting to see what my final bill with AE is. May have to dispute charges.

The location was great and staff amazing. We got the bikes and spent almost all day on the bike trail. Overall we really enjoyed our stay here and would definitely book again.

Seemed a little harder to find a parking spot, when we arrived late, but we worked it out in the end. Also, they do charge a parking fee $17/night.

Vintage room style well kept and clean. The HVAC worked well and was relatively quiet when active. Bathroom had excellent counter space and shelving (underneath the sink and on side wall). Sink stopper was did not tightly seal when closed but worked as expected. Appreciated the provided hair dryer. Ample parking near room. The property has an excellent location within easy walking distance to coffee shops, french bakeries, downtown restaurants and shops and to the fisherman's wharf and the coastal walk. The property restaurant Esteban was delightful with a nice covered outdoor seating section. The cocktail drinks seemed light on the alcohol so maybe order wine or beer instead. Food was acceptable but not outstanding. Prices are a bit high for the quality. Very pet friendly. Exceptionally clean outdoor landscaping with a dedicated grass pet area. Bags provided for cleaning up after your pet. There is even a pet menu at Esteban Restaurant!

The room lighting was too dim. Very dim. The small refrigerator was awkwardly placed under the corner desk area (always had to move a chair out of the way to open the fridge door). Don't know how to change that due to the room design/configuration of the desk unit/closet/entry door.

We've stayed here 4 times now. This hotel is the best affordable hotel in Monterey. We love this place. It's on the edge of downtown. So, it's just far away enough from downtown to be quiet. But close enough to walk to restaurants, bars, and shops. It's about a 10-minute walk from fisherman's wharf. The staff in the front office are above and beyond friendly. There is plenty of parking. It may not always be right next to your room. They do charge you to park on site. But it is like $17 dollars a day. Which for some might seem like a lot. But compared to all other spots in town. It's reasonable. It has a heated pool and a restaurant on site. Along with a day spa. It is definitely the only place we will stay while in Monterey.

The hotel has become too popular. It's even busy during the cold months. And this is the first time we stayed in the 2 hundred building. It has very soft water. We are not fans of soft water. But if you are. Ask to stay in that building.

Comfy traditional room - the bed was incredible, one of us had the best sleep of our three week trip in America! Great fan cooled the room perfectly. Very spacious room with table and chairs, and large bathroom. Pool and spa available though we didn't use them. Friendly staff and lots of parking, it was great to have the car right outside our room. Very close to a good bakery, a craft brewery and lots of eateries.

One night we were woken up by what sounded like the dumpsters being emptied which went on for a while in the early hours, but we would still stay again.

The rooms were very nice, and the property was beautiful and close to many restaurants.

The parking was limited even though we had to pay for it.

This is a lovely property right in the heart of Monterey. It's very easily walkable to tons of shopping and restaurants as well as some great breweries. The unit itself was clean and quiet. The bed was very comfortable and the shower pressure and heat was perfect. The fitness center and on-property restaurant were also very conveniently located.

The latch on my door required some extra force to get it to actually lock behind me. The deadbolt also had a screw coming out. The TV was a little difficult to master and at one point the morning of my departure, the maintenance crew killed the power to my building without any warning and when it came back, the cable wouldn't come back on. These are all minor issues that the maintenance crew will hopefully address.

Our room was in a quiet little corner without too much noise, which really helped with getting the rest we needed on a busy work trip. There was plenty of parking and we felt safe leaving the car in the lot overnight. It was a 15-20 minute walk to the conference center downtown, with lots of walkable food options around, so in my opinion the location was central enough to enjoy the convenience without being right next to all the hustle bustle. Most importantly, the staff was incredibly helpful and amazing. We couldn't have been more grateful for a restful stay.

The air conditioning/heating unit in the room. It was unfortunately close to the ground and tended to carry some dust from the carpet up and around the room when the fan was on than if it were installed higher up. The fan direction couldn't be adjusted so the current hits the bed right in front of it the most and then disperses to the rest of the room. We also couldn't quite set it to the right temperature - it occasionally heated when it should've cooled the room and vice versa.

This is a very cute, quant hotel. The buildings are like small cottages. With lots of unique plants in small gardens. The rooms are very clean and it is quiet. We usually try to stay downtown. But it is extremely loud even at night. Casa munras is about 3 blocks from the center of downtown. Just enough to stay quiet. But is an easy 10 minute walk from fisherman's wharf. They have a very nice looking pool and a day spa on site. This will be my new home when I visit monterey.

The cleaning staff came vy to clean around 3 pm. I said we didn't want service. But they came back at 4. I should have hung the do not disturb sign out.

I never write reviews but I want to mention this one. We've been travelling all summer and this is the cutest, most hospitable place we've stayed, By far the best value for money! Generously sized rooms, very clean, great beds. Add a dash of charm, which is unusual in motel-type settings. Staff upgraded us to two beds for free and without us asking. Well located in the heart of Monterey. This was a good find!
