We loved how spacious the room was, the fireplace with big flames is beautiful, you can see it from the bed. Also loved the small kitchen, balcony, and the living room area, so comfortable. And the bathroom is big, too, so nice to have separate shower and bath. We loved the location because you can walk so easily to Old Fisherman's Wharf with so many dining and shopping options, as well as fabulous ocean views. We will definitely be back!

The only thing we did not like was that the coffee in the room was not very strong, but if you go to get breakfast, the coffee is wonderful .

Location was within 5 minute walk from the Fisherman's Wharf.

The housekeeping service was not daily vs the cost of the room at $250 a night with parking. The hotel service should offer a discount for not having daily room cleaning.

Breakfast was decent, fresh fruits, boiled eggs, sausage and bagels/muffins, Hot coffee, tea and chocolate, Orange juice. We had the jr suite it was a Charming room, good size room, liked the balcony area and view. Had cups, wine glasses and plate in room. High celing. Loved the gas fireplace. Walk in shower and seperate tub.

We stayed 3 nights but did't qualify for room service. Bike rentals were overpriced. Bed and pillows were not comfortable. Thin walls we could hear outside noises and everyone walking down the halls. Toiled did't flush well and on day 2 it overflooded. (But they cleaned up the water quickly)

This is the only hotel we stay at in Monterey. This time we stayed in the Junior Suite with the king bed. We went for a weekend hike and shopping so we only stayed one night, but it was an awesome room. The room has a private balcony, fireplace, wine glasses, and a cozy sitting area. The bathroom was huge with a full shower on one end and a bathtub with shower on the other end. The hotel is also within walking distance to the Fisherman's Wharf and the Monterey Bay Coastal Trail that leads right to Cannery Row. The hotel building itself is old, but it's reasonably priced, has friendly and accommodating staff, and feels like a romantic getaway every time we stay there. I highly recommend this hotel 10/10.

Nice, big and comfortable rooms

All was great except the breakfast. Supposed to be available till 10 am We reached at 9:40 am and except the bread, melons and coffee, no other breakfast items were available. 10 am should mean 10 am, Right?

Location, unique layout. Breakfast was decent (for a continental, which are usually awful)

Paper thin walls. Upstairs people were stompy. Street noise was way too much. Too many people on the road with motorcycles and/or cars purposefully modded to be louder and more obnoxious.

The rooms are a nice size. We loved the fireplace

The hot tub was out of order. Which was a bummer. And our sink in common area didn’t work and had some ants.

The room was very dark because on the ground floor. Not much light came in through the windows. The balcony was not enclosed. Fireplace was a big one I was looking forward to. It was on their website. It’s why I booked. I don’t think it was supposed to work. It had directions but provided nothing to have a fire.

Room was nice and ready when we arrived. Location was great and close for events we attended.

Because of rain the afternoon we arrived, hallway on our floor including in front of our room was flooded and water continued to drip during our entire stay. Staff continued to sweep the water away, but we still had to walk thru about half an inch of water every time we left and returned to our room. Appears some repairs need to be made.
