The breakfast was ok. For 600.00 a night it was a bit meager. The noise in the building was annoying as I could hear everyone talking beside me in the room next door. Staff were very kind.

See above. The location is nice. However the room rate was high for the stay overall. Parking fee should be included for 600.00.

Location , staff , room the view was unreal, with the best view of Monterey bay

Being British we are used to selecting our own food at breakfast I don’t like food brought to me limiting my choice

The View The View The View It was out of this world Beautiful. I have been looking for a room with a view for a long time and this was it! Also, there were birds nearby nesting, we enjoyed watching them.

The breakfast options were good I just don't think they understood my requests. I am allergic to strawberries, the first day we had to call and ask where our food was, I had requested it at 7 we received it around 10. We also had an issue and called for security in the parking garage and never saw any security guards. A man was fighting with his wife, and my husband had to intervein. People use the parking garage to access the beach, on site security would be a great option.

Spacious, updated room with a great view. Loved watching all the sea life at play! Sea lions and otters swirling and twirling in pairs in the water and romping at the shoreline. The oceanfront room gave us a great view of all the activity beneath us in the water. The harbor room might have been better because it has a direct view of San Carlos beach where all the sea lion action was happening. It was great entertainment, until bedtime came along. We wanted to leave our balcony door open to get the fresh sea air but the sea lions were just too noisy. It’s louder than spring break in Mazatlan! They squawk and bark constantly. I learned that they aren’t there all year so be sure to check. It made sleeping a little challenging…but we still managed to get a restful 8 hours in!

Just the loud sea lion barking, but the beauty and entertainment factor kind of makes up for it. And if you don’t mind sleeping with the doors to the balcony closed, it’s fine. They are somewhat soundproof, muffling the noise. And I think the sea lions stopped partying by 10pm, though they were up with the sun!

A quality hotel with a great location on the bay. Thousands of seals and sea lions were on the nearby beach so it was wonderful seeing them enjoy themselves. There are two hot tubs which were relaxing. Complimentary breakfasts were served to each room that one orders the night before by filling out a card and leaving it on the exterior door handle. The rooms are well appointed with a huge TV with many channels. We watched the Harris-Trump debate. The bathroom is roomy with a large shower and fresh towels and a toilet area separated by a door for privacy.

At night there isn't much to do in downtown Monterey -- the restaurants close early. At one point the barking from the sea lions was a bit loud but after a while it lulled us to sleep.

Breakfast was quick and easy and loved it being delivered. Would have liked something a little more substantial like waffles or crepes or an omelet bar. I understand space is limited there. The room was adorable and very comfy. It was decorated tastefully and it was functional. The location is great! We loved that we could leave our car in the garage even after we checked out. I found it comical that earplugs are handed out at check in because of the Sea Lions! I really appreciated the bottle of wine and chocolate put in my room for my birthday! Made the weekend very special.

We wish that we could have used the hot tub but it was being utilized by other guests and didn't want to be crammed in there with them. Air conditioning would be nice but living in the valley we get hot and like being cold. I didn't like the smell of the toiletries that were in the bathroom. We also didn't appreciate the guest above us, we were in room 212, smoking cigarettes and weed on their balcony. We were forced to close our sliding glass door to keep the smell and smoke out but it had already gotten in. They were also very loud in the middle of the night. They were slamming doors and stomping around. It sounded like they were moving furniture.

The best location you can possibly imagine in Monterey, on the beach and with beautiful ocean views. Our room was comfortable and spacious, and we enjoyed reading or having our tea/coffee on the balcony. Also, kudos to the wonderful maids and the hard work they do :)

While it was nice to have breakfast brought to our room at a time of our choosing, the selection at breakfast was a little underwhelming, so we did venture out and buy something else outside most days.

View was incredible. Complimentary breakfast was convenient. Location was excellent. Walking distance to cannery row attractions and shops. Tidal coffee just around the corner with excellent coffee. Parking super easy literally underneath the rooms.

Not the hotels fault at all, but the smell and noise from the sea lions wasn’t great by any stretch. Just bare this in mind. Totally depends which way the wind is blowing, but the smell is really bad. Just close your window/balcony door and you’ll be fine. Can’t be helped, it’s just because of the location and, well; nature!

Loved the location and staff. Very accommodating and we were welcomed with a bottle of wine and chocolates for our Anniversary. We felt so special. The bay views were amazing.

Because it’s such a great location and close proximity to the water, you get to experience full ocean life. The first night we were in the Harbor View. Which was nice but a little too overstimulating for me. It may have been Sea lion mating season haha it’s not their fault and we were given earplugs which helped. Luckily we were able to upgrade our room the next night to Bay/Ocean view. Immediately we felt peace walking in and couldn’t take our eyes off the water. we could still slightly hear the lions but we did not want to leave. Also, we enjoyed the hot tub and just missed out on the fire pit. Thank you for a great stay.

Lack of a vegan option besides fruit for breakfast. Oatmeal or toast would have been wonderful.
