I thought there was a sofa in the photo when I booked the room, but when we checked in, there was no sofa, and the front desk said they couldn't provide an extra bed. She offered to cancel our booking so we could transfer to another hotel. But it was almost 7 pm, we were traveling with a toddler, and we had come from a 3.5-hour drive. We were tired. It was so inconvenient and a hassle. We suggested that they provide us with extra bedding so one of us could sleep on the floor.

Easy to get to, ample parking easy walking distance to beaches, Dining and entertainment. The staff was friendly and helpful in every way. The rooms were clean and comfortable actual sized bottles of shampoo body wash and hand soap no mini bottles or mini bar soap. They provide a great free breakfast available in the mornings not your usual continental breakfast. And very reasonably priced for the area

Although there wasn’t really anything to complain about and its borderline nitpicking I will say for how nice the rooms were I was somewhat surprised to find, at least in the 5 rooms that my group occupied, that the ventilation fans in the bathrooms were non functional and purely there for decoration it’s not a huge deal just a small pet peeve of mine

Large, clean room, we had everything we needed and then some. The property itself was very noisy with kids yelling, but it was a touristy location and a weekend, quieted down at night.

The rooms were on multi levels. The elevator went to each floor, but in order to get to our room from the elevator, we had to go down several steps with our luggage and then go up several steps to our room. There were some rooms on the same level with the elevators . So it was not an impossible set up, but was a little odd.

Location was perfect, as we brought our e-bikes to ride the Monterey Bay Coastal Trail. Very convenient that the trail was right near our hotel. Our room was clean and comfortable. We were guessing that it was newly renovated as the furniture seemed updated and functional. The decor was nice and the window treatments looked new. At night though, we noticed light was coming through our door. Not the usual glow from underneath but from the left and right sides also. Since they are still renovating the property, hopefully they will be adding weather strips to this door because the light was quite noticable. The morning breakfast was adequate with hot and cold items to eat and a decent amount of seating. We enjoyed the fact that we could quickly get something to eat and then be on our way to bike the area.

Since we were new to this property, we didn't realize there would be stairs involved to our room from the front desk to our room (in back) past the courtyard. We are able bodied so it wasn't too bad lugging our luggage to our room, but I was still surprised.

The rooms are spacious and are built around a courtyard which is really pretty. The location of the hotel is perfect and with great free parking. The breakfast was great and exceeded our expectations for a 'free' breakfast. Staff were super helpful, especially on check-in; recommendation for the evening meal was perfect! Great value for money

There were no dietary alternatives at breakfast e.g. milk alternatives. The beds were a little hard. Minor details though!

This property checked off all our wants and needs: clean, affordable, location, on-site (free!) parking, and comfort. Located within walking distance of Cannery Row without being right in the Row. It seemed to be right in the middle with the Fisherman’s Wharf being a 15-20 min walk away on one end and the Aquarium being 10-15 walk on the other (depending how fast you walk and if you stop to admire the views or shop). Either way, the pedestrian walking/running and biking paths make it easy to get where you’re going. It’s an easy walk to other town restaurant favorites not on the Row too for more reasonably priced options). The breakfast the property offers is plentiful, with both hot foods and breads/cereals, and coffee and tea available all day. There is a heavily traveled road is right at the rear of the property, so if you’re a light sleeper, the rooms towards the back may not do. However, my husband is definitely a light sleeper but it didn’t bother him at all (must have been all the walking!) Our room was newly renovated and the property is doing a room to room renovation which they did inform us of upon booking. However, all work was done when guests were out so noise was never an issue nor did it cause any obstruction.

The bed was so comfortable that I slept really good however, our room was so close to a busy street that you could hear all the activity that was going on like the garbage truck picking up the trash which was pick up day at 3 am. The breakfast was also good. Love thelocation. We just walked going to the aquarium. Lots of restaurant closed by. The hotel were undergoing construction when we were there. It was nice of the hotel to informed us in advance of this information.

Our room was close to a busy street and that there was not good insulation so you could hear everything. Also the windows did not have enough coverage for privacy.

The breakfast was wonderful, the staff was very helpful in where to go and what to see and best way to see it. Once there, we didnt need to drive any further; everything was within walking distance. The room was clean and everything we expected in this hotel, they got it right

Hotel is kinda quirky. To get to your room, you had go down a few stairs only to go back up a few stairs to get to your room. It made their luggage carriers useless. But we didn’t have but a few luggage, so we didnt have too much of an issue

Very unique layout, really cool inner courtyard area with vibrant patio tables & chairs w/comfy cushions. Had lots of natural light in the inner courtyard. Very large, spacious rooms that are very newly renovated. Location to Cannery Row is perfect. 5 minute walk, but away enough to be away from the crowd of tourists & the madness of the busy tourist locations. Very reasonably priced for the accommodations and the location.

The parking situation kinda sucks. It’s free parking, no reservation needed which is amazing…but the downside is it’s like a level and a half of parking under the hotel and they’re very very small spaces, with next to no room to turn into a parking space or pull out of one. You have to do a 3 point turn to get in or out of the space. There’s maybe 20 parking spaces in the whole lot. The beds are absolutely rock hard, I could chisel the statue of David out of it. Lobby had a bit of an overwhelming disturbing smell.

The patio area is beautiful the lobby was so clean and breakfast was amazing!

When I walked into the hotel room, there was a strong, bleach smell, and it kind of mimic dirty feet so it was hard for me to look past that we also had what appear to be either red nail polish or blood stain on our blanket . When I first got there to check in the receptionist asked me to insert my card. I let her know I prepaid on the way and she cut me off and told me that they did not put the money so I went ahead and inserted my card just for them to take double what they already took from me. I ended up having to go back explain it all to her but once we got past her trying to tell me I was wrong they were able to refund me my money other than that it was fine.
