The hotel is situated about 4 minutes drive from the coastline. The room was comfy. Our bed provided great sleep. Two blocks from the main drag. Next door to a Denny's.

The staff uses a funky check-in system. Initially, they texted saying we could check in without assistance. But when we arrived, we had to go through a 10-15 minute check over the phone before we could access our room. The parking lot is too small for all guests to park. The people who arrived after us on a Sunday night had to park on the street, which has few available spots. The checkout is 10am, which is earlier than most hotels.

Pacific Grove Inn is very conveniently located in Monterey a short walk from a bunch of yummy restaurants, and a short drive from the downtown area with the aquarium. The inn itself is very cute with comfortable beds and possibly a fireplace (my room did have one and it worked and I was very grateful). The room was cozy, the common space was cute and they did offer some coffee and tea. And a communal fridge and microwave to use which was useful. I received several communications from the property about their parking and rules and so forth which was extremely helpful.

Checkin was fairly easy although they did have me call them to provide more information since the booking came via booking.com and the person on the other end was very hard to hear, but we made it work eventually.

the location and the room are great. a nice walk to lovers point. close to some good dining spots. room was spacious and the property qas cool with nice common area to relax and eat if you wanted. I think there's a kitchen to actually use which is super cool. while it is ocean facing, calling it an ocean view might be generous

the check in process was much more like an AirBNB. no staff on side. self check.in. however, with that said, having on site staff would certainly increase the cost of the room.and not sure it's worth it. packing spaces under the pergola is tight and no one seems to be able to stay in their lines.

The Pacific Grove Inn is located conveniently close to restaurants and shopping. The facility is charming with a sitting room and dining space for the guests downstairs. The rooms are well appointed and clean. This is a great value for the price.

There was no cream for the coffee in the morning even though there was a refrigerator right next to the self service coffee table. Only powdered creamer was offer. That is gross, I don’t know anyone who likes powdered creamer.

The location was central to Pacific Grove. It was very nostalgic to be staying in a Victorian home. I liked that you included information about the history of the residence. It was walkable to Lighthouse Ave shopping.

We were disappointed in the directions/instructions and were not able to locate the common use area of the home, We walked completely around the home and could not find access. We also followed the instructions in the text we were sent but had to call for questions.

1. Location is excellent! Up to 30 min walk to the main Monterey places. 2. Hotel style is impressive. Especially in common areas. 3. Free parking is a plus 4. Reasonable price 5. 3 rooms for price of one

1. Extremely narrow parking spots. Why you need additional parking spot if nobody risks to park there and parks outside unstead?! 2. Phone check in is weird. Use lockers instead if you can't provide greeting person. 3. No kitchen amenities in the room. Even with enough space. At least, microwave. 4. Not working AC with plug in heaters instead. Really? With 67F inside? 5. Noisy squeeky beds. Not for romantic couples for sure.

It's a great old house that is very well taken care of and in a beautiful town boot.

The check-in process. I personally like having someone on site who works for the property in case there are any issues. Also, the location that I needed to call to get checked sounded like they were on the other side of the moon.. so it was hard to understand what they were saying. It wasn't a difficult check-in, but after a long day of traveling, the last thing I wanted to do was have a conversation on the phone with someone I couldn't understand, so we could finally get into our room.

The location was perfect and extremely convenient for what I was in Pacific Grove for. My room was very cozy and comfortable

I had to change rooms due to replacing the carpet. While not a difficult change, it took more time than I wanted it to due to everything being remote (via text/email). When a person did show up at the property, everything was very easy. I also wished that the room had a desk to use my laptop.

The location was absolutely beautiful and with good walking distance from a lot of gorgeous places. The room itself was stunning, everything looked incredibly well kept, especially with it being a historic building. The bed was also very comfortable, and the balcony felt like being transported into your own little world.

During the booking process, I wish I was able to know what house on the property I was staying at before I booked the room. I would have loved to stay at the front house, but both homes are beautiful.

We liked the Victorian style, everything was neat and clean, the location is great close to everything we needed. Outdated - yes but I kind of liked, it felt like we were in 1904… lol

We liked everything expect it was no one at the property…felt like a ghost home lol and we could hear everything what was happening on the second floor, I’m assuming because of the thin walls…
