Our stay at Gosby House Inn was beautiful. The inn is styled beautifully. The breakfast provided was very tasty and the cheese and wine in the afternoon was a very nice touch. The inn is in easy walking distance to several restaurants and amenities. The staff were so friendly and couldn’t have been more helpful. In particular, when checking in, Vera noticed that my husband is very tall and upgraded our room for us as she thought the original room might be too small for him to be comfortable. If we are ever back in this part of the world we would certainly stay again.

Location, staff friendliness, the facility; it’s an outstanding historical building, breakfast and mid afternoon charcuterie with wine!

Our room was on the second floor and the stairs up to it were a bit concerning for an 80 year old; steep and carpeted. The room itself was quite small with very little closet space. These are nothing in the category of “what could have been better” because this building is an old classic. I would have liked some meats with our breakfast, no bacon, sausage, or ham was available.

I truly loved the location as it allowed me to walk where ever I needed to go. The facility beautifully balances old-world charm with modern conveniences, making it feel like a step back in time yet still allowing me to check my phone whenever I needed. The vintage decor, cozy atmosphere and historic details truly transported me to another era

The only downside is that the walls are quite thin. I could hear footsteps and, at times, my neighbors speaking at normal volume. However this was a minor issue compared to the overall charm of my stay

Our stay at Gosby House Inn was absolutely delightful! From the moment we arrived, we felt warmly welcomed. The room we were given was stunning—so charming and romantic that it brought back memories of our honeymoon. The inn is perfectly located in the beautiful town of Pacific Grove, making it easy to explore and enjoy the area. One of the lovely touches was the coffee and pastries available throughout the day, which made us feel right at home. Breakfast was another highlight—rich, delicious, and presented with such care. Everything about our stay felt thoughtful and relaxing. I can’t recommend Gosby House Inn enough if you’re visiting Pacific Grove. It’s a truly special place to stay!

The location is excellent.You can walk to the gorgeous coasline in just a few minutes.Easy to park for free in the street and surrounding streets. So close and easy to drive to Carmel, , Monterey and 17 mile drive.The homemade breakfast is delicious and plentiful. The staff are wonderful and helpful. The rooms are spotless.

Our room was quite small. Pacific Grove is a small quiet town..

Right in the heart of the Pacific Grove business district, the full breakfast and wine tasting afternoons were a tasty treat. Beautiful Victorian, however, be aware if stairs a problem there is one flight of stairs to a 2nd story. Beautiful appointed and met some wonderfully chatty visitors from around California...several regulars..once they found the Four Sisters properties they were hooked. We just discovered we are hooked!

I will choose are larger room next time.

Beautiful lobby and sitting area, convenient to downtown PG, historical. The hotel had a lovely breakfast. My room was beautiful and pillows were comfy (although bed and bit firm for side sleepers like me). Also, due to age of historical home staircase was very steep so needed caution. Staff was very friendly and home was safe and quiet.

Didn’t like the bathroom: toilet was up a step from floor which made it a bit scary going to bathroom especially at night.

Located in the downtown area of Pacific Grove this hotel provides a small, friendly, family run feel. It is a converted large family home built in the Victorian era so has plenty of character and old fashioned features. Our room, The Jewell, was adapted for mobility use so it had a large wet room. The bed was extremely comfortable and everything was spotlessly clean. The only downside was there was no hanging rail for our clothing, only hat and coat hooks in a cupboard with 4 hangers. As we were staying for 4 nights a facility to hang clothes would have been preferable, although there was a steamer in the room to iron clothes. Wine, cheese, crackers and a cake were provided free of charge every day between 4 - 6pm, which was a lovely touch, and provided an opportunity to meet and talk to other hotel guests. We found this a great social forum and very interesting way to learn more about America and American life.

The only suggestion for improvement we would have was that our room was on the ground floor next to the breakfast room and kitchen. At 6am the staff began work preparing breakfast and were quite noisy, clattering plates and cooking utensils disturbing our sleep. A minor point in the scheme of positives, but, something that could be considered and addressed.

Being from the UK I had a desire to visit the California coast line (not too far from San Francisco). I booked here thinking it was near Monterey - a 6 minute drive. Oh how glad I did book this place, a quite beautiful town, lots of lovely places to eat and not from Carmel - a beauty on the coast. The hotel was perfect, the staff so nice, the breakfast top notch, and a relaxing vibe everywhere, flame fire in the evening, not drinks and a glass of wine ....... perfect perfect perfect. Not to mention everything was spotlessly clean and beds were so comfortable. I'm not visiting the area again, but if you do stay here!

Nothing everything was perfect.

Proximity to the ocean and to Lover's Point. The Inn is on Lighthouse Ave. Close to shops and restaurants. The room was clean and comfortable. Enjoyed the fireplace since it was a cool, foggy evening. The wine and appetizers were a nice feature in the afternoon. Breakfast was delicious.

Could have had more coffee pots and better coffee.
