The staff is very kind. Hot tub is large and AMAZING. The pool is also large and warm, but we didn't spend a lot of time there. Rooms are large and comfortable, although our room was on the first floor and didn't have good view from the balcony. Me and my spouse also enjoyed the little things like free water, coffee, complimentary wine glass and breakfast. Overall, it was an overly positive experience

Breakfast could enjoy a wider variety (e.g. no protein currently). The rooms were a bit cold (in December), so we had to should turn on the A/C.

I liked the ambience of Spanish Styling. I liked the size of the room, convenience of parking, having 2 sinks for ease of use. The bed was comfortable and bedding warm. There were ample electrical outlets. I like the coffee maker and having a small fridge in the room. The staff was friendly and check in was a breeze.

The only suggestion I have is having USB plugs. There were many electrical outlets, but your electronics would all need that type of plug in. It wasn't a BIG deal, but just USB plug in, or the electrical outlets that can also accomodate USB, would be nice.

The hotel was very clean. As soon as we entered, it smelled like soap. The room was very big and comfy. The staff was not overly friendly, but they were definitely nice. The breakfast had warm items that changed every day, so it was definitely a good breakfast. They offered complimentary glasses of wine every day at the bar area which was my favorite area in the hotel. All in all, we are very happy that we chose this hotel.

Even though the location is good, you definitely need a car to go to any place. The AC in the room could have been cleaner. The bed wasn't super comfy, every time my husband moved I woke up (I even thought there was an earthquake in the first one)

Easy check-in, decent breakfast, nice lobby seating area, very clean room, spacious bathroom, walkable to many restaurants and even the waterfront, gas stations conveniently nearby, good parking.

There were no cups in my room (no glasses in bathroom, no cups for coffee), and the screen on my window did not fit properly so I could not keep window open.

It was comfortable, very nice, classy, clean. The hotel has a Spanish vibe to it. The staff, actually the young lady at the desk, was very personable, sweet, just a happy disposition. I was very impressed by her courteous personality.

It was a bit expensive, but at the end of the day, if it's clean and the staff are helpful and caring...it's worth it. The parking area was a little tight. But I think it was a busy weekend.

We were given a room that was ready and an upgrade since we arrived early and our room was not ready. Employee was very nice.

We were disappointed when a large tour group entered the bar area doing the complimentary wine which actually you do pay for with a service fee. The first night was very pleasant and the bar man was very nice. The second night was not. They were rude and thought nothing of crowding in ahead of us and taking every table and chair in the room. They were very rude people should have been moved to a separate room. We avoided breakfast due to this group. I will add when I mentioned this on check out we were given a credit for the second night of the service fee. Employee was very considerate.

The breakfast was delicious! Dining area is cozy and there was a good variety of options for the size of the space. It’s a great location it’s not beach or water view but close to it. It’s very walkable to like my favorite coffee shop Captain + Stoker and all kinds of other restaurants and shops in downtown Monterey. They also have bikes that you can pay to rent outside the lobby doors and you can get bike locks and helmets at the front desk.

If you have trouble with getting up and down stairs let them know in your reservation. We were surprised with the stairs when we went down to our room it was okay with us but would be nice info for other people.

This was a solid hotel with nice, clean, quiet rooms at decent prices. Location was good but you either have to walk (10 mins) or drive to the beach. We were pleasantly surprised by the amenities - pool, hot tub, laundry - all a plus. Breakfast was excellent - that was surprising. Because we were driving to surrounding places, it was a great jumping off point. Fridge in room. We'd stay here again if in the area.

There was a snafu when we asked for someone to clean our room and they never showed up but they apologized and came by the next day. Also they seemed a bit stingy with the supplies in room (tp, etc.) I had to call a couple times for items but they always came quickly and brought it.

Wifey and I liked that the wharf was in close walking distance as well as girf shops and a theater. Plenty of places for great food. Beaches are a little drive away but plenty close. Abrego also has a decent breakfast. It also has a bar and kitchen. Great staff and very welcoming plus respectful. We'll be staying there on further visits.

There was a issue with our original room order but staff definitely helped accommodate for our needs.

No water bottles in the rooms. If you need water you have to ask at the reception. The freezer was defrosting and the floor was wet underneath. The breakfast options were limited. No vegetables. Same options I saw at much lower priced hotels. This is not a cheap hotel so expectations were higher.
