The motel has just been refurbished and everything is brand new (which is not reflected in the pictures on Booking.com). It looks and feels quite nice, everything in the rooms also brand new, including grey wood effect laminate plank flooring which is way above the usual for these types of properties.

Although there is free coffee at reception, it is only possible to get it after 8am (and I leave earlier than that). Construction is still ongoing of the swimming pool (but not really an issue in December).

We didn’t see the breakfast but we did enjoy the coffee machine and its options which was located in the lobby. We liked all the seating available outside each room. That was very helpful!the location was good, not too close to all the touristy areas so it made accessing it easy. Of course the cost is why we stayed overnight in Monterey! Otherwise we would have just gone home, an hour away. Love the fridge in the room!

That there is not a seating area away from the corridor where bedroom doors are located for people who smoke.

Great location. They backed the work fence up so there's plenty of room for parking now. This was done during my stay. Clean hotel. Extremely comfortable. I had a spinal fusion and the beds are great. My kid approves of TV channels, internet speed, floor space and TV size. This place will be amazing this summer. They are renovating but don't let that scare you. They are very quiet and seem to work so fast. Great location! Right around the corner from Dennis the menace park Super nice staff. I'm a diamond choice member and used to be a flight attendant. This hotel beats a ton of hotels I've stayed in. Simply, kudos! Carmel Beach is 1.5 to 3 miles away depending on the route. My kid preferred that beach over all the rest. They have cute tables and chairs outside, adorable plants. This hotel will give the rest a run for their money soon enough. Oooh I love the roll down black out shades. That's nice!!

The 2nd or 3rd room we stayed in didn't have a dresser. The other times we've been to town the rooms had ample storage. They're renovating and you can tell they just did the floors so I am sure they didn't want to put the heavy duty stuff in here until it's all the way done which is beyond understandable. As comfy as this bed is and I can beyond see the TV.... who cares about the stuff lol. Can't keep my eyes open to see it. All the things I can see people complaining about they are jumping on it. Don't let any of that deter you by any means!! I'm picky as they come and we've been pretty satisfied with every stay. By the looks of the all the way completed rooms the completed sets are beautiful and totally functional. Even the rooms in transition are pretty and comfortable.

I really liked the place. The staff was friendly and the price and location was also excellent. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable.

I felt like there just wasn't enough furniture. There was a bed, a small table and one chair. However, there was a long stretch of wall in a big open space just before the bathroom that was just empty. I really feel that a small couch and a coffee table would greatly improve the experience. As is, if you have guests, most will have to sit on your bed.

The price and comfort is really good for the location it is in. They answer their phones promptly as well. That was really appreciated. I highly recommend!

I asked for an iron and ironing board. The iron happened to have burns on the metal and almost stained my clothing. But, you get what you pay for. Therefore, it is nothing that is too big of a deal. They just need to maintain the iron as a suggestion.

We had two nights at the Inn and were pleasantly surprised by the comfy beds. We have a super plush bed at home so comfy beds are a rare find when we are away. The room had a basic shower, toilet, small fridge, microwave and TV (no streaming services), which is all we needed. The staff were nice and it was clean. Overall, we would stay again.

Great shower pressure, 4 mins from Dennis the menace playground and El estero baseball park! 7 mins from the beach. They've been renovating so it looks super nice, just needs a pool now! Get in there before the prices go up!

Just wish there was a pool and a hot tub. And the rooms werent super spacious but still very nice. Also there were no movie channels 😔 also the owner called to tell me my neighbor called about my TV being too loud at 7pm....which was just a little dumb to me but of course to not be a jerk I did but come on dude??? TV too loud at 7 it was on 45 🤦🏽‍♀️

The room was quiet

Hairs everywhere. No hair dryer even though it said it was included. Tub drain stopper missing so no bath. Hot water took forever to work. I got weird messages soliciting for a prostitute and offering money after i checked in. Sketchy place. Parking is horrible too

The room was clean, the bed was comfortable; appears some improvements had been made. Maid serve was done if you requested it, so that was a savings item

the area to shave, bush your teeth etc. was very small. For a single person it was ok. But if you had two people and one had to leave early, the area was right next to a bed and was small to boot and the light was bright....like it should;d, but would definitely interfere with the other person's sleep.

Staff were friendly and welcoming. There is parking outside each room. The bed was comfy. Reasonable walk into Monterey. Good range of hot drinks from the machine in reception.

Coffee was only available from the machine in reception so if you wake up before 7am and fancy a coffee you have to wait or go into town.
