We stopped here last minute on our way home to southern california from up north near Crescent city. It was one of the cheaper rooms I found, very very last minute, with 2 beds and a couch for my family of 5. I was very thrilled with the cleanliness of the room and everything in it. I didn't interact with any of the staff, but my husband complimented them a few times which says alot cuz he's a grump. We only stayed the night for a place to sleep, but I was sad to have to leave and wish we could have stayed a little longer. I will definitely return here when I had back up to Monterey to actually vacation there with my girl friend. 110% recommend this place to stay💛🤗

A nice 2 floor (ground and first floor) motel with a decent sized car park. There is a low entry way and an open entry way for vehicles so check as you approach the car park. The rooms are of a decent size and were clean and well decorated. The bed was comfy, the TV ands coffee facilities worked and the bathroom was a decent size and everything was working as it should. We had booked earlier that afternoon but there was an issue with the card we used to book however the motel kindly kept a room aside for us (Room 101, the accessibility room) and we resolved the matter upon arrival. This was very thoughtful of them as the motel was busy and Monterey does not have many reasonably priced places to stay with parking let alone free and on site. Room 101 is next to the manager's office and the ice machine so can suffer from some noise when people get ice or when the management staff go in and out of the back door to their office and it bangs shut however our worst problem was the very loud family in room 102 who did eventually go to sleep but started up again early the next morning.

One common factor we found during our California road trip is that the Californians just use wood to build rather than concrete and as such the sound deadening for neighbouring rooms is limited and you always get creaking and footsteps from those above you. If you can manage the stairs go for the top floor, at least that way yoiu only have to deal with the noise from your neighbours but a good bang on the wall often suffices :)

Visiting other motels in the US, this one was the best for similar money. It was very good value for money. The room was clean, the bed was very comfortable, working TV, and a decent internet connection. I would stay here again.

There was no stopper in the bathtub, so it was impossible to bathe

The location was great. I was concerned about being on a main road, but inside the rooms it was quiet and we didn't hear the noise from the road. Beds were wonderfully firm - the best we had on our trip to the States!

It was strange for us that the rooms had fridges and microwaves, but no cutlery or crockery. That was a bit awkward, but the staff did help us out for which we were grateful. Thank you.

The room was very clean, white sheets, the bathroom was very clean too, it has a good location, the price reasonable, the staff very nice, and I like the check inn online, was very fast, the only thing I didn’t liked was the pillows, but other than that I liked everything,

In a great location minutes away from down town Monterey and Let’s not say the mall was right across the street from us. The lady in the front desk was very nice and house keepers are awesome made sure we were stocked up on extra towels and even vacuumed our room and trashed out Since we were there for two nights. We would definitely come back!!

Loved everything

Breakfast was very disappointing… hedges at the exit need to be cut back so you can see oncoming traffic. Dangerous exit. There are signs noting no backing in. Should be enforced somehow.

A good grab and go breakfast would be nice.

The room we had had a luxurious king size bed that I can't stress enough was luxurious. The room was big, with lots of room to pass each other; the table with chairs were perfect and comfortable; desk chair was perfect office chair on rollers and comfortable; bathroom was bigger than expected and updated to modern tile design in the shower/tub and granite countertop. I actually, didn't want to leave the room because I was so comfortable.

Had a descent size fridge , microwave, an a mini closet. It was supper close to the best spots. 6 minutes away from most attractions/beaches. It had an ice machine .

The shower water wasn’t warm , a the pressure was not giving shower. But small price to pay for a good centered hotel by nice places .

The location is perfect. Not too far from the aquarium or the beaches. The rooms were very clean and neat. I was super impressed. Bathrooms are also very clean. I stayed for 2 nights and it was pleasant!

The beds were a little bit uncomfortable. Wish they were softer other than that the stay was great.
