Would have preferred upfront information about hours instead of finding out AFTER booked but fortunately we arrived before the office closed for the day Would have appreciated notification that electricity would be out due to evening construction only to make sure our room stayed cool. It wasn't out for too long and the room cooled down quickly especially with the ceiling fan. Just weird returning to room with no electricity. Even with those teeny tiny little things, I would stay there again.

We really enjoyed our stay here! Its very quaint, our room was comfortable and spacious. We loved the location - it was easy to walk into town but also a bit removed which made it quiter at night. On a beautiful street and the parking lot was a huge bonus!

Rooms are a little dated, but its nothing that takes away from the experience!

Location compared to the center of town was good. It was a simple 4-5 minute walk to get to the Main Street. There was a lot of room in the unit. Compared to the small room where I currently live, it was like a very large studio.

One of the windows, facing the ocean (which can be seen from a distance), did not close all the way. Luckily, the fireplace/heater compensated for that. The sink didn't drain very well with the strainer being used. The sink stopper was not installed and appeared to be broken -- I found it under the sink, inside the cabinet.

The staff was great, and onsite parking is so important in Carmel. We felt the room was very spacious and the bed was comfortable.

While we were having late afternoon snacks on the patio, many guests wanted to talk to someone in the office. Since it was a Tuesday, and I had read that staff left at 3:00, I had to explain it to everyone who looked like they needed assistance. Many of these people were European tourists who didn't understand why there was no staff available to answer questions. One tourist said that Booking.com accepted his request for a room at 6:00 pm ,when there was no one to even give him a key to a room. I felt badly for all off them.

The value for the location was excellent. The staff were super nice, caring, and very courteous. The house cleaning staff also did a great job of cleaning our room. Thank you.

Property is somewhat aging and the the noise from within the rooms can be noticeable. I would recommend staying on top floor vs lower. We were woken up by the people walking very loudly above us. Still the property was a good value and included parking.

The property looks like it’s newly renovated. Very clean and very comfortable. The Executive Suite #10 has 2 full beds separated by a divider. And each has its own bathroom. The garden area is very cute. Pet Friendly with a fee. Check in was easy and was greeted by a very friendly staff-thanks to Julian. Parking is limited but at least they have a few spaces at the back. Would certainly back again.

Nothing really. Just minor issues like Limited parking which is not uncommon in this area. There were just a few noises from the upstairs rooms. But it was not loud enough to be bothersome.

The location is perfect to walk in downtown carmel. Maybe a few extra pillows would be nice. Room 18 was Perfect! Loved the fireplace. We will stay again. This was my second time there and it was better.

We got a nice, large room for my husband, 12-year-old daughter and I. Separate little bedroom for her with two twin beds. Beds were super comfy, location is excellent. Check in was a breeze after 3pm. Clean, quaint and un-fancy. Felt like we were getting a deal when everything else in Carmel was a splurge-- this inn is a save! Nice patio in the main area for sitting as well. Even had parking!

The only tiny thing was the shower head water pressure was minimal. Hate to even complain about that!

Have stayed at Wayfer Inn several times over the years, and bar none, it's the best value for staying close to the village of Carmel. We commend Mike for keeping the rates low in a very desirable location of walking to dinner, parks, the ocean. This is what we value, free parking, low rates and our room was spacious. The view from our room at sunset was priceless, see photo below!

Breakfast is no longer included but rather give that amenity up and keep rates low.

Great staff, very friendly and helpful. Comfortable bed, very clean, quiet and pleasant room (#15). I parked my car and their lot and it was safe and convenient. The price was right, and the location was ideal for my purposes.

In room #15: The bathroom shower/tub should have a grab-bar or two. The bathroom floor was offset higher than the main room floor which was a tripping hazard. (Neither of these issues bothered me, but other patrons might complain about them.)
