Hotel Carmel is a perfect blend of coastal charm and cozy elegance. From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed by a warm and inviting atmosphere that made me feel right at home. The complimentary wine and cheese in the evening was a great way to unwind and enjoy the ambiance. 🌊 Great Location: Just a short stroll to the charming shops, restaurants, and, of course, the stunning Carmel Beach. It was the perfect base for exploring the town. ✨ Excellent Service: The staff was friendly, attentive, and always ready to offer great recommendations for things to do and places to eat. Super comfortable beds, great amenities (jacuzzi, a fire pit, fireplaces both outside and inside); the staff is really welcoming; my parents did appreciate the breakfast, the wine and cheese, and the goodnight cookies

The only thing that I would change is the in-room extras - there are bottles of water that you need to pay for, and the bottles are right there but the card is hidden (was in the bathroom when we checked in, and it has a tiny font), so my parents kinda accidentally consumed what they wouldn’t want to pay for normally. Not a big deal but feels off, against the place’s vibe

The staff because they were friendly and inviting. Jewell was pleasant and informative. Ron went above and beyond making sure I had hot water for my tea-in the evening-bringing towels the maids forgot to leave as there were three of us. Thank you Jewell. Thank you Ron.

Maids had skipped some things; no toilet paper in bathroom, towels…minor details. Construction across the street started at 7a!!

The onsite breakfast was excellent with fresh coffee and mimosas daily. The location was just at the edge of the strip where businesses and restaurants began. This made for easy walking to all the shops yet kept the noise level down.

While there were several parking spaces, some were pretty tight and there didn't seem to be enough for all guests. Street parking was available, but did require some moving of your car depending on time of day.

Nice room with a fireplace, nice courtyard setting, very nice staff. We enjoyed the complimentary wine and cheese in the afternoon a lot.

Bathroom very small, too basic especially for that prize but we probably paid much more than the usual prize since we came on the weekend of the big sur marathon which we did not know about.

The property is just gorgeous. It is maintained well, with beautiful flowers and a stunning courtyard with a fire pit, fireplace, and a hot tub.

The only negative this place has in any way is the parking. It is very limited, and while we’ve found parking both times we’ve stayed here, I wonder if everyone has been as lucky.

The staff were so friendly and the hotel so cute, with lovely open fires, it was so cosy. Really well situated and close to walk anywhere. A really lovely breakfast. We would stay again!

It is first come first serve parking and there isn’t a lot of parking.

Ample and clean rooms. Beautiful property. Jacuzzi was great for relaxing after a long day and food at the bar on the property was great (and so were drinks and service). Loved the architecture and layout of the rooms and outside seating areas.

We had a price difference when checking out (which booking later fixed), and although personnel was very accessible and tried to help (they also reduced USD 50 from the USD 160 difference), the situation could have been handled much differently, with less stress, more time and without us feeling hostages of the situation as the hotel could charge us anyway with our card on file. Could have been avoided with the proper procedure at check in.

Location is great. Very close to all of the restaurants and shops. Nice quiet area. The views are great. The property and rooms are incredibly clean. The staff is amazing and kind.
