I had a long stay at the Marriott and I cannot say enough good things about this hotel and its staff. I was staying there on my own and the minute the staff realised that, they made me feel at home and no ask or request was too big or too small. The rooms at the Marriott are modern, spacious, clean and housekeeping do an excellent job every day. The location is also perfect and all the staff are super friendly and helpful. I want to give a special shout out to Serena on the front desk reception - she is the prime example of exceptional customer service. She is a 10/10 across the board - you won't find anymore more friendly or helpful. If I ever go back to Del Mar, I know that I will be staying at the Marriott. Thank you to all the staff there for making my stay so enjoyable and pleasant, I really appreciated it!

- No sound isolation (you can hear every time a door closes in the corridor) - Amenities could be improved (we stayed for 2 weeks and after 2 days since our arrival the hotel ran out of slippers and never replenished the stock in the next 12 days) - Limited storage for clothes in the room for extended stays

We enjoyed the comfort of the Hotel. The staff was great and really was there for any kind of assistance. I got to use the gym and thought it had a great variety of workout equipment as well as cleanliness.

I'm not sure if we were informed or not, but we used the self parking lot which was $35/ night. We paid each time we left through the self pay when you exited the lot, but i was not aware until check out that we were able to use our room key to get in and leave the self parking lot. Therefore, we paid extra and were still charged the 35 per the two nights we were there by the Hotel.

Great room with comfy king bed and sofa with ottoman. Our granddaughter found the sofa so comfortable that she stayed over a couple of nights. Large pool that all the kids enjoyed. Great location near the highway but not too close (no noise problems). Staff very friendly and accommodating.

Had to pay for parking AND internet, which added an extra $45.00 per day. Breakfast not included either - usually something we seek out when booking. We were there for a soccer tournament so wanted to stay with the team.

it was clean and comfortable. Overall staff was great except for one person

we were given an upgrade to the conceige floor with full access to breakfast and snacks … only one person told us we could not be there on Wednesday… the rest of the week was not a problem. We stayed from Friday till Thursday!… It put a sour taste to our stay but there was no problem any other including the next day. we are bonvoy members and felt singled out because of our race. it was our 29 th wedding anniversary.

Friendly staff, fast check-in to get my room key

The sink faucet in the room seemed to have air trapped in it, so when I turned it on, it blasted water forward onto my business jacke, trousers and shirt. This happened when I was all ready to leave the room to a business meeting! Needless to say, I had to change my shirt and pants, but didn't have another business jacket so had to make due with a soggy jacket. I did tell the front desk the next day when I was checking out.

Good gym for a hotel. Very comfortable bed - sleep is obviously something the hotel knows the value of as there is a free spray provided to put on your pillow before bed to help promote a deep sleep.

Wifi being $9.95/night, although fortunately the lovely lady at reception comped this for me. Only single use cups in the room and no cutlery. There was also an environmental friendliness sign saying to leave your towel hanging if you don't want it changed - I did this but it was changed irrespective.

The hotel is very, very, nice for what it is. These ratings are so difficult because it was a perfect stay for what we needed, but it’s not in a location that I would recommend to somebody for a special occasion. I would definitely stay here again – it was very clean, comfortable, tasteful. Breakfast was delicious.

The location is convenient, but it’s right near the highways so it’s not a place to go for a special occasion.

The room was great, and the staff there were so nice. Quiet and wonderful experience in this hotel. The location seems safe and good. Parking was convient just near the hotel front door. valet parking is available.

The parking fee is somewhat expensive and it seems the capacity is not so enough, so you might have to find a spot if you come late. It is not so near the aiport and you would have to drive 20+ minutes to catch a flight.

There were two barking dogs in the room next to ours. One of our two night stay, they barked the entire time. We're dog and pet lovers so we understood the fact that people need to bring them and appreciate that you allow pets because people don't feel comfortable leaving them with other people while they travel. But the owner must have been gone all afternoon and all night. We were actually concerned about the dogs because the lights looked off wondered if they were ok and were left food and water or possibly stuck in a compromised position. We didn't complain to staff because we we're not like that.
