The interior of the rooms have recently been remodeled, providing a nice modern look.

I was disappointed that there was no vending machine. There really are no services provided by this hotel, other that what you get in your room (bed, bathroom, refrigerator, microwave, TV). Also, the room had a strong odor from what I believe was some sort of cleaning product. Which was strange, because the floor was not very clean.

The location of this property is amazing. It’s a good value for the price. It was very clean. The ocean was within a two minute walking distance, and the zoo is right across the street. The Irish cultural center is right behind it, which was why we came to San Francisco for a book signing event that was there. I love the area. The George zoo Deli right next-door makes amazing sandwiches and fresh cookies. They also have a great variety of wines and beverages. The staff at the deli were also super nice. The café next-door had the best butterscotch coffee, which I bought one daily and walked to the beach in the morning. I would definitely return.

At first, the gentleman at the front desk was not super nice but by the third day, he actually smiled and loosened up a bit. We met his mom who lives on the property and she is the sweetest woman. The housekeepers were very nice and did a great job the first day however the second day they only cleaned half of our room? We’re thinking they just got called away and forgot to come back?

Rooms were clean and comfortable. Bathroom very spacious but the hot water wasn't very hot, though we didn't bother to ask about it since we were only there one night. Location very nice. Right next to the zoo and Ocean beach.

Front desk was a bit gruff but not particularly unfriendly. The overall building was a bit old but rooms were nice and updated.

Good room. Refurbished. Great bathroom, very comfortable beds. Nice couch, good TV. Front desk folks were great. Mary actually called me in PA, without prompting, just to confirm a request I placed online. Location chosen due to proximity of a relative I was visiting. Last trip I made the mistake of staying at the dreaded Rodeway. I would have been better off sleeping on the floor of the Bus terminal. The Mirage is a great value. You will not be disappointed! Great location - 2 blocks from the beach. 1.4-1.8 miles from San Francisco State U. I felt very safe in this neighborhood. Room was nicely decorated and furnished. Bed was comfortable. Linens were nice. Value considering you are in San Francisco was good.

Woman at front desk extremely rude. She does not belong in the hospitality business. when checking me in she wasn’t pleasant at all. after I checked in I had to call to report that my refrigerator wasn’t working. she refused to assist in anyway. One morning while I was leaving the hotel to take a walk I said hello - she wouldn’t even say hello to me.

The staff were very accommodating and understanding of our family emergency and situation. The place was clean and quiet. So close to coffee and food as well as the zoo. Parking was included and in sf that is rare. I feel safe here!

Location is great for us. Rooms are nice. SERVICE terrible, need better house keeping

The floor was dirty. I asked for a broom to sweep it. Lots of hair and food crumbs. No apologies. Lady at the VERY rude.

He owner was very rude. My reservation didn’t show up in the system. I told the owner I had the confirmation number and everything to proof I did the reservation, but the started yelling at me saying it’s not his problem because is not in the system. He didn’t even look at my reservation in my phone. He told my to called booking and ask for my refund. I asked him to checked again and he got really mad and rude. Worst customer service. Customer don’t deserve to be treated like that.

Entrance and check in area was very small but it was an older hotel that has been fixed but was fine

Location and Parking are this properties best asset. The check in was efficient. The lady at the front desk was nice. I appreciated her kindness in explaining the extra deposits and why they had them ($350.00 at check in, reasonable after explanation.). Thank you!

The hallway carpets are pretty messy/stained, but the rooms themselves seemed to be updated with microwave and mini fridge and a comfortable bed. You should bring earplugs if you are a light sleeper, but I enjoyed my stay.
