With excellent access to the beach, right on the oceanfront, this location is definitely worth considering for your stay. Easy access to public transportation and a parking spot for the car.

The room was relatively clean, but the bathroom was quite small. For some reason, there was a short shower curtain, causing water to spill onto the bathroom floor, which led to mold buildup. It seems like the water was seeping under the flooring, which likely caused mold. This is an unfortunate oversight in the room's maintenance. Additionally, there was minimal furnishing in the room, and the lighting was quite weak.

Property is clean and right across from the beach. Lots of restaurants close by.

We stayed here for one night while in town for my child's college orientation, and it was exactly what we needed, a simple, clean place to rest for the night. The motel offers on-site parking, and we also noticed ample public parking available right across the street, with no apparent restrictions. That was a big plus. One of the best features of this location is how close it is to the beach, just a quick 2-minute walk! I even took a scenic stroll along the shore to the nearby Safeway (about 15 minutes) to grab a few toiletries. There’s also a convenient corner store down the block for quick essentials. The room met our needs perfectly, and I would consider staying here again when we need a budget-friendly and convenient place to sleep and shower.

The only minor downside is that sound travels easily, so if you’re on the ground floor, you can hear neighboring doors and footsteps. However, nothing a pair of earplugs couldn’t fix for light sleepers.

Love this motel! It’s like a part of the old-school California where you can still get a cheap motel at the beach for a reasonable price. There’s all kind of great stuff located right nearby, from juice, bars, and coffee, shops to yoga, studios, surf shops, Raw vegan restaurant, organic co-op… Cross the street from the beach. Third floor and you can see the waves crashing… It’s a bit of a funky area with folks live in their cars on the street down below, but that’s part of the old-school appeal to me. Fantastic place to stay in San Francisco, tram is two blocks away, and it’s just incredible that this place still exists. I will continue to return here as long as it’s here!

Sometimes the neighborhood seems more sketchy than it is, and I just checked myself and remember that it’s all good, simply a bit more urban that I’m used to.

Like? Location! I’ve lived in SF for near 30 years, first time I spent more than an hour or so at Ocean Beach, should have done it sooner, will do it again. Thanks for the kindness

I have to be really honest. A reason I left the city was the drugs. I’m not a fan of them. I understand you guys have little say in the matter and I’m not Ho, ding anyone responsible except the addicts. They ruin a lot of whats around them. Sad and frustrating.

This is far from the touristy area of San Francisco. It is very near the Pacific Ocean. I love the wild side of this area. It is one block from public transportation and a short walk to the new Dunes Park, the SF Zoo, and the lower end of Golden Gate Park. I appreciated the free parking. Our room was large with two bedrooms. The bathroom was ADA compliant, which made me feel safer. The office offered free coffee—a delightful getaway.

One of the standout features of this Motel 6 is the ocean view from the room. Waking up to the sight of the ocean each morning was truly a delight. Additionally, the motel's proximity to the waterfront promenade allowed for easy access to stunning views, particularly of the sunset, which was a highlight of my visit. The surrounding area includes a park ideal for leisurely walks, further enhancing the appeal of this location. Its strategic location also ensures convenience for travelers with vehicles, as it is easily accessible by car. Overall, my stay at Motel 6 San Francisco was notably enjoyable. The combination of clean, spacious accommodations, friendly staff, breathtaking views, and a convenient location made it a memorable visit. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and scenic place to stay in San Francisco.

Wonderful location across the street and over dunes to the beach. .... Even better PRICE! ALSO... Staff is awesome... Welcoming and chill.... And the size of room was awesome! Ooohhh and pet friendly!!!

No screen on window.... Minimal towels. Fan on bathroom was really loud. Window didn't open in bathroom.

Great location , the sound of the ocean and nice sunsets. Close to nice hiking trails and viewpoints. Rooms were clean and parking was free and easy to find a spot. All in all a good deal for san francisco.

No microwave in room. You have to request room cleaning change sheets/towels. There is a time limit on your stay, so no longer term avaliable.
