Good location - near ocean, just few steps. Right next to the hotel there is a nice cafe with great coffee - real ;) and fresh pastries, which opens at 7 am. Quick check-in and self-check-out. The tram stop did not cause any inconvenience or noise, although the windows of our room overlooked the street. There is a wonderful shop nearby with a wide variety of products (except meat). It is important to take into account - it is quite cool and windy near the ocean - warm clothes will come in handy even in the middle of summer. Free hotel- parking. The room had clean towels and bedding. There were no problems with warm water. Everything was great.

The facility does not offer breakfast or dinner, there is no common area. It is located right next to the beach, there is a small parking lot on site, wifi worked well. Clean, rooms are standardly equipped - everything worked. For some, the drawback may be that the facility is located right next to the tram terminus, which is a bit noisy (it didn't bother us) and does not have an elevator (rooms are on the 1st or 2nd floor). Nevertheless, I rate this place very good! Great value for money! Great base for a trip to the Golden Gate or the beach! 50 minutes by tram to the Cable Car! I recommend it!

I had never been this far West in San Francisco but we were impressed of the small town feel this area of the city provides. Steps away from the Pacific Ocean and a couple of blocks from the Golden Gate Park. The hotels offers a safe and quiet oasis in the city. The Muni transportation system is right in front of the building so it’d be a convenient location to park and ride about the city. The staff we interacted with at check in was very accommodating and helpful. I will definitely consider this hotel next time I am back in SF.

The Muni train turns around right in front of the hotel however the Muni does not provide a place to buy physical cards or provide information about riding the system. I’m sure everything is online and on the phone but if you travel with young people with phones you still need some way to show fare payment.

The rooms are imaculável and tastefully decorated. The person at the front desk is attentive and caring. The price is low for a very expensive city. The location is ideal- the N Judah tram ( right outside):goes to downtown and the ball park with connections to most of the city. The new walking park is fantastic and also right outside the door. We will definitely return.

Not the fault of the hotel, nearby breakfast options are expensive. Take advantage of the in room coffee maker and bring back goodies to keep in the refrigerator in the room,

The room was very spacious and clean. I used the parking available on site but you have to get there early to get a spot because there’s only about 10. The receptionist was kind and told me the best spots to park where the view of the camera is the best. I didn’t have any concerns on this side of town with it getting broken into. It didn’t look like they had any rooms on the ground floor. The first floor is a story up with the parking below it. There is no elevator so be prepared to carry your items upstairs.

The hallways were a little sketchy. There were lots of marks on the walls and the doors had obvious bumps and scrapes on them. The rooms are definitely given more love than the hallways. Only dirty thing in the room I noticed was the baseboards could use some love. The tv in the room was small and old. The parking lot definitely wasn’t originally made for parking because there are support poles in very odd places so some spots require a couple turns to get out of.

This hotel is within a few blocks from the beach. You can take BART from the airport to another train and arrive at this hotel. There are a lot of restaurants within walking distance. There is a walk/bike path in between the hotel and the beach that paralels the water. You can rent bikes with the lyft app from a kiosk that is a block from the hotel. Golden gate park is a long walk or short bike ride from the hotel. You can surf or watch others surf at the beaches along this stretch of coastline. We were able to check in early and also leave our bags at the hotel on our last day before our departure.

The noise from the tram took some getting used too, but was not a problem. I would recommend bringing ear plugs.

The room was extremely clean, which is greatly appreciated. The staff was friendly and professional. The beds and pillows were comfortable enough, which was also appreciated. It's literally right across the street from the beach. We could see the ocean from our room; it was an unexpected, pleasant surprise. The hotel is also really quiet, especially considering the location and that we stayed on a weekend of a big event in town. Definitely would stay here again!

The only thing we didn't like was that there was no breakfast offered or vending machines available. Given the price point, a small selection of coffee and pastries, and a couple of vending machines would be nice. However, there are two INCREDIBLE cafés right next to it, so we didn't miss it too much. Seriously though, both restaurants are amazing! Oh, also- there is no elevator. I actually don't mind this at all, and prefer taking stairs, but this could be a problem for some (however, it does say this in the description of the hotel).

I was there every week for over six months due to commuting for work. The room was much nicer than the price would imply (such a good deal). As a solo woman traveler, I felt very safe as it is hard to get into the building without a key. The young man who was at the front desk every time I was there was super polite and accommodating. There is a reason I kept going back even though it was kind of a long drive to my office. Really strongly recommend!

It is very easily accessible with Tram N (last stop La Playa), free parking, right next to the beach in a beautiful, safe and quiet neighbourhood. The rooms have a microwave and a fridge with a big freezer! There is a Safeway nearby (don’t go to 7-eleven it is not like in Japan at all) the rooms as clean and spacious and family friendly.

You can hear the neighbours loud TV or laughs in the hallway, needs better sound proofing.

We booked king room, asking for the top floor with ocean view which was not available and was upgraded to the double queen room with beautiful ocean view. The front desk service was excellent, let us check in 2hrs early, stay a little bit late. The room was spartan but comfortable, with a nice skylight in the bathroom. We were a little worried at first about the sound of the cable cars running right in front of the hotel but they stopped running at night, so no issues there. Great location in walk-in distance of the Golden Gate Park and lots of good, cheap (for SF) restaurants. Free parking!!!

It would have been nice to have a second chair in the room for both guests. Sound proofing of the room isn’t great, but a quiet hotel when we stayed so not an issue.
