Loved the breakfast! Omelets made to order each morning, along with many other hot food choices and lots of different juice choices too! The lobby area is great and relaxing. Our son had a blast playing ping pong and hockey with other kids in the hotel. They also have a washer and dryer guests have access to, which was great for us.

I believe because we booked thru 3rd party, we were put on the 2nd floor of the hotel where there is no elevator. At 66 years old this was a trek getting our belongings up and down the stair case. We were very disappointed in the meals we ate (tried to eat) one night in the restaurant. We ordered prime rib and pork chops, both with mashed potatoes. It was pricey, and nasty. The food was not served hot, and both meats were rubbery? The food tasted old and warmed up. We did not complain to staff, but I hate not to warn others.

They always say never judge a book by its cover. As we pulled into the parking, we were hoping that it was not like our stay in Florida, let’s just say what they describe was not what we encounter, but as I walked in the Academy hotel to check in, my mouth was wide open, beautiful ambiance, the lobby was so cozy and comfortable, it outshined its 4 stars, rooms clean and comfortable, staff friendly and food was amazing, especially the bar tender, I have never seen a bartender know how to balance a perfect drink, other then in New York. Again the appearance and ambiance, cannot get enough of. We enjoyed our stay and will recommend to anyone if you are staying at Colorado Springs, we are hoping to make another trip but to aspen wish you have a hotel out there we will definitely book without a thought. Thank you we loved it!

The people who work there they were always happy to help you. It did not matter what question you had. They always try to lead you in the right direction very friendly place

The only thing I could see wrong with the hotel when it was time for breakfast the breakfast was great, but sometimes the French toast was cold, but that was no problem. You can always talk with the workers and they will warm it up for you with no hassle and I did not like the paper plates and plastic knives and forks and spoons. It was very uncomfortable to eat breakfast with every morning. They should have real plates and knives and forks and spoons, but that was the only thing wrong.

The facility itself is absolutely stunning—clean, well-maintained, and beautifully designed, creating a welcoming and relaxing atmosphere(even while traveling with 6 kiddos in our group-ages 2-8) One of the highlights of our stay was the breakfast. The variety and quality of the food were outstanding, with fresh, delicious options to suit every taste. Whether you’re in the mood for something light or a hearty meal to start the day, this hotel has you covered. Every staff member we encountered was friendly, professional, and eager to help. Their warm hospitality and attention to detail made us feel valued and well taken care of.

The staff was friendly and professional, always willing to assist with anything we needed. However, due to low staffing, our room was not cleaned during our stay. While we understand that these things happen, it was a bit disappointing not to have fresh towels or a tidied-up space. That said, the staff was very apologetic and quick to provide any extra items when we asked. Despite this, we still enjoyed our stay and would consider returning.

It was very helpful that there was laundry facilities available on site, BUT, just a suggestion, maybe have staff include the machines and they're area to daily cleaning. I could tell the washer (inside or out)hadn't been cleaned for quite some time, and the top of agitator was missing. Dryer was a little cleaner, but when I cleaned out lint trap the screen was torn and probably not working properly. Tiled area and window sill that machines are located in didn't appear to be recently swept or dusted. Wouldn't choose to use again even though much more convenient than leaving Property to go to laundromat. Otherwise property was clean and well taken care of. Breakfast was amazing, and every staff member I encountered from check in to check out was exceptionally friendly, helpful, and professional.

Excellent breakfast with hot and cold options including waffles, Omelettes, cereal, sausage, biscuits and gravy and more. Wonderful, well maintained pool ranging from 3 feet to 8 feet at the deep end. Helpful staff, quick and attentive to anything I asked for. And the lounge is comfortable, with the fireplace being turned on in the evenings. Rooms were clean and tidy. And this is the only hotel I've been to that had slotted window shades for a blackout effect.

The beds were nice but did have a foam topper that you sink into and get stuck in one spot. Feather or down type pillows which compress easily, but they do provide a lot of them. Neither of these are killer, but do be aware if you're particular about your sleeping arrangements.

We enjoyed the convenience of this location. It was near the highway and shopping. Yet, the room was very quiet. Also, it’s easy to get the room very dark for sleeping. The atrium style lobby has a fun and welcoming feel. Having a swimming pool in the middle of it, as well as the breakfast dining, and little seating nooks and a fireplace, adds to all that. The breakfast was great! I loved the omelet and waffle stations, and the staff were really friendly.

As much as we loved the convenience of being nearby the highway and placed like Whole Foods, you’re still near the highway, and across from a Wendy’s, and the Walmart, etc. Also, the parking lot, as well as some of the exterior detail on the buildings, looks in need of maintenance. The exterior entrance is unimpressive, and it’s where the smoker’s hang out, too. If you love this place, as we did, these things are easily overlooked.

I love this hotel. The hotel is in a great location, local to everything. The price can't be beat. Free breakfast including made to order omelets, delicious French toast and my favorite make your own Belgian Waffles. The atmosphere in the atrium lobby is right is out of a D#&@-y themed hotel. The pool is huge, heated and clean.. In the evening the lobby fireplace is warm and cozy. The best thing about staying at the Academy Hotel is by far the best staff I have ever encountered at a hotel property. Every one of them are hard working, helpful and friendly. From the front desk, the housekeepers, after hour night staff and the team staffing the morning breakfast set up and take down. These employees work as a team and they get their jobs done with a smile on their faces..I highly recommend the hotel. Just a shout out to 2 of my most favorite persons there, Eric at the front desk and Corine in housekeeping. They have gone over and above the expectations of their job positions and personally provided me with a much needed shoulder to cry on and encouraging words during my latest stay.

Of course some of the rooms still need a few upgrades. Carpeting, window blinds and modern charging stations. The lighting also needs to be improved. It certainly won't detour me though because the cost savings allow me to spend my hard earned money on the things I enjoy when I'm not in my room, as it should.

We enjoyed the entire facility! There was plenty of space in the Lobby and breakfast area. The pool and game room was nice. The employee's were all very friendly and helpful and when we were not happy with the location of our room in the very large hotel they changed it twice and were still very kind. The bed was very comfortable and the room was nice. We enjoyed the breakfast as well.

We booked 7 nights and they did not clean the room every day but every 3 days was the policy. We had to go to the front desk several times to get extra towels and items to restock them until we talked with a cleaning lady in the hallway and she started to clean our room every day until we checked out. There were only 2 area's with one washer and dryer available for guests to use. And there was no yogurt at breakfast and only apples and oranges as for as fruit available.

Continental breakfast, fresh made omelettes were delicious every morning. Has a restaurant on site for dinner, heated pool and ice machines worked (sorry some hotels don’t think am working ice machine is a need). Staff was very helpful with room issue I had and everyone smiled and spoke to you when you passed them.

It is an older Hotel, little things like vents in bathrooms and few roof shingles coming off looks like upkeep is not important to some. We know they are upgrading. Would have preferred a secured WiFi, was given log in although was still unsecured and very weak in my room.
