I liked everything and that's hard to do. The staff at the front desk at check-in were very friendly, helpful and knew their stuff. Very professional yet polite and warm. The room was excellent and clean. The hallways were clean as well with no stains anywhere, almost like the place was new but it's not. It's just very well maintained. Breakfast fit the pattern of excellence. Everything was stocked well and again, very clean. So many things to choose from. Hot scrambled eggs, cheese omelets, turkey sausage, even bacon, sausage gravy and biscuits. Make your own pancakes with the touch of one button. No pouring or mess. Syrup, even sugar free syrup and whipped butter. Bagels, english muffins, yogurt, 3 kinds of cereal, milk, 4 kinds of juices, hot tea and freshly ground regular coffee and decaf. The cook staff were excellent as well and got my compliments for a job very well done. There is also a very big area to eat that wonderful breakfast and, of course, it's clean and kept clean by those fabulous workers. We'll be back.

While traveling, we made a spur-of-the-moment decision to stay near Wilmington. We literally pulled to the side of the road to pull up nearby hotels. We tend to overlook Holiday Inns but when we saw it had a great review, we took our chances! I require a roll-in shower ADA room and they had one available. Score! It’s always dicey booking an ADA room as most hotel staff don’t know the difference between a grab bar and a roll-in shower! ( we had just come from a hotel where we had to switch rooms 3 times before they finally got it right.) This Holiday Inn was a most pleasant surprise from the friendly gentleman who checked us in, to the correct roll-in shower room, to the cleanliness, to the comfortable large room, to the ease of its location! Everything was perfect!

It was inconvenient that the breakfast closed at 9:30!

breakfast was good, up to the typical Holiday Inn Express standards. Although it would be nice if all the dishes and flatware did not have to be plastic

thermostat was a little tricky in the room. We could not turn up the temperature to 70 degrees without the heat coming on. I was also troubled by the presence of multiple small framed posters in the lobby area (3 total) warning guests about human trafficking. Why was this particular messaging throughout the facility and not others? and I don't think more messaging like this is a good idea

We stayed at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites Wilmington-Newark and had a great experience. The location is excellent—right next to Christiana Mall, so shopping and dining options are just steps away. It’s also very convenient for getting around the area. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. Staff were friendly and helpful, and the included breakfast was a nice bonus. Overall, a great choice for both convenience and comfort—we’d definitely stay here again.

The staff are all super friendly and helpful. The room was as described and a great value for the price. The hotel is in a close proximity to a great pub if you don't feel like leaving the parking lot! It also provides a close proximity to the Christiana Mall without having to deal with all the incoming Mall traffic during the holidays. Breakfast was free and fabulous.

The fitness center was carpeted. Not many people will be using a fitness center while traveling, so it's a small issue, but due to this I wasn't able to fully utilize the space.

We arrived a little before 9 pm, when it was raining. We found a park and went inside to check in. The front desk employees were kind and recommended a few places for us to eat since we were hungry. The room and bathroom were nice and clean fairly well. I felt there was a lot of room to move around, and it was comfortable. Breakfast was nice and filled us up. This was a great stay for the price and our reasons for traveling. I would definitely stay there again.

This was a nice Holiday Inn compared to others we’ve stayed in.

My only complaint is that using the Holiday Inn website it booked us through booking.com. I would have cancelled our stay and stayed with family as some space opened up but booking.com wouldn’t refund our money (even though I was trying to cancel a month before the stay). Booking.com is a joke and I would recommend anyone that books calls any hotel directly to avoid using booking.com’s services.

The breakfast had a good selection and the food was good. The coffee was excellent and there was ample room to sit and relax during breakfast or just for a quick break in the afternoon with a cup of coffee. The beds were very comfortable and the pillows were even marked "firm" or "soft" which I thought was a nice touch.

They did run out of some food and it was not replenished and it was still early (8:00). That was the only thing that was a little disappointing. Other than that there was really nothing negative about my stay.

Good location. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. The establishment was clean. The breakfast was excellent; nice variety of selections. I loved the fresh, warm cinnamon rolls and their coffee machine that made you an individual fresh cup of coffee.

There was nothing I really didn't like.

The room and bathroom were exceptionally clean. The hotel was quiet and I slept well. The breakfast offered a nice variety and I loved the fact that it's included in the room price.

I can't think of anything that I didn't like. I have stayed here before and will stay here again!
