Beautiful, serene setting, comfortable, spacious room. I got room #5 which is a queen suite and it was great. Just not as light and airy as I would have liked but it's a perfect room if you don't mind shade. :) It's a great location if you want to be closer to the southernmost end of Duval but a ways out from where everything is at. It's a quieter location. Just need a bike or scooter to get around.

I didn't like that the maid service came into my room without me putting the tag for service on the door. I had all my valuables laid out and thankfully, they were trustworthy but still didn't like that. It was only me so I really didn't need service.

Wow! Douglas House was just what the doctor ordered! My husband and I along with our adult son were exhausted and grieving the loss of our beloved daughter/sister. The staff was so supportive and accommodating! The grounds are spectacular, the pool’s temperature was perfect, the relaxing music in the outdoor area was perfect for meditation, reading and sleeping! The best part of the Douglas House however is the staff! By day two, we were part of the family! Everything you could need is right around the corner. We walked everywhere but spent most of our time beside the pool where we met many people who stay at the Douglas House every time they visit Key West. Because my daughter loved Key West, I felt so close to her. I had so much quiet time in such a serene setting, I was able to concentrate on my girl and feel her love in one of her favorite places! I almost forgot to tell about our room which was like a small apartment! It had everything we needed! To our surprise, we had a veranda overlooking the quaint street with comfortable chairs. It was the best place to have our morning coffee and a glass of wine before heading out to dinner. We are already planning our next trip!

Very Clean and comfortable. Great location.

This particular room/ apartment was missing several elements to make it complete. A full kitchen but missing several elements for one to prepare a meal. No cutting board or pot holders. A few additional items to pull the space together would make a huge difference . This comment has no reflection on The Douglas House but the owner of unit that is managed by resort. No art in bedroom, throw pillows on sofa, area rug on floor. A little would bring this particular unit up to the next level. Paint on the second floor porch much needed.

We stayed in the hotel’s building across the street from the hotel entrance on the second floor. The room was exceptionally clean and comfortable. Loved having the wrap-around porch to use outside our door. Great breeze. The staff was very good. I would highly recommend this hotel, especially if you are as particular as I am about room cleanliness and comfort. The location of the hotel was perfect. Just off Duval Street, but on the quieter end of Duval.

Everything was great. No complaints.

The building had a lot of character. Everything is modern with a very clean, calm decor. Nice artwork. Lovely living area and upstairs bedroom. And the kitchen was adequate for breakfast and snacks. We stayed for 3 nights before picking up a cruise out of Miami. It was perfect. It is very central and we walked everywhere.

There are steep stairs to get to the apartment and then another curved set of stairs to get to the bedroom. We are seniors, and it was not bad, but we needed help with luggage. I did not like having the wifi router on the bedside table. It is not good to have that so close to one's body for hours at a time. I could only move it to the floor. So, long-term rentals beware.

We arrived before check-in and the staff was so nice about stowing our luggage and giving us directions to a requested location. Upon returning to check in the front desk clerk gave a wonderful tour of the property and made us feel very welcome. The staff was always very helpful and friendly anytime we encountered them. Our flight off the island was quite a while after check-out and once again we were able to stow our luggage while we had one last stroll along Duvall Street. When it was time to leave for the airport the desk clerk called a cab which was there very quickly. The pool area was perfect for some reading and a nap in the sun.

I don't know if anything that could have been improved.

The room and facilities were super clean at all times, the shower was spacious with a place to hold toiletries. The location of Douglas house is amazing, just off Duval street, everything was within walking distance to tourist attractions, restaurants and bars. They have free parking close by to the hotel and the staff were lovely and helpful. At the pool they have towels for guests to use, a coffee station and enough seating if you want to eat on the deck, they even have sunscreen and aloe vera available!

I don't have anything that I didn't like! Maybe just a little carpet in the bedroom would have been a nice touch.

The location was great; right in the middle of everything in Key West. Friendly, welcoming staff. Our room was comfortable and quite private. Nice coffee and tea service 27/7.

Our room was separated from the street by only a bamboo "wall." As a result, there was a good deal of noise on our little deck. Perpendicular to this wall was another short "wall" separating our deck from the property next door, which was something like a garbage dump. Not so nice

Great location, walkable to all the local places. The room was beautiful and roomy as was the loft area. Beds were very comfy and the little kitchen was perfect. Favorite spot was the private outside balcony. We loved the pool area and the outdoor area around the pool was so pretty. The plants and lights at night made it really special. As the pool was open until midnight, we were able to utilize the pool after our day of exploring which was awesome.

I really can't think of anything that I didn't like about this adorable, historical place.

The accommodation is in an extremely good location, located between Whitehead Street and Duval Street, the former street has the Hemmingway house and Southernmost Point, the latter street is actually the main street of Key West (with shops and restaurants). The room was extremely clean, the receptionists were helpful.

There is only an unloading space in front of the hotel, after which you have to take your car to the reserved parking space on Whitehead Street. There were no kitchen facilities in the room, only a fridge, microwave and coffee/tea maker. There was no kettle or mugs, so we had to use our own mugs that we had bought as gifts. The light in the bedroom was not working. The staff kindly tried to help but they could not fix the problem before we left.
