The location was great and the staff was friendly and attentive to our requests. The rooms and common areas could use some updating but for the price we paid, they were fine. Although extremely clean, our room and bathroom reminided me of my grandmother's house in the 1950s, right down to the tub, till and furniture, but we were only staying three nights and we weren't buying the place, so not a legitimate complaint. There was no area dedicated to unloading our luggage during check-in/out and because I'm a nervous driver, we opted to park first (1500 ft away) and schlep our four bags from the parking garage to the hotel. Not an ideal situation for people over 50. The bathroom sink dripped incessantly and the seal around the door of the fridge was loose in several spots so the temp in the fridge was like 60 the whole time, but we had a killer freezer on top that we put our drinks in for 30 minutes and that worked out great. I would stay in the same room again for the price we paid knowing what I know now, i.e., fewer bags and request that the dripping faucet and fridge seal be fixed prior to our arrival.

Perfect location for visiting South Beach! The room was spacious which is often lacking in hotels down on South Beach, beds were very comfortable and the room had everything we needed! The owner on reception was super helpful and nothing was a problem for him when we asked for help / advice.

The hotel is an older building and at first you would think the rooms need updating however it fits in with the Art Deco - nothing particularly negative!

The location is just absolutely phenomenal. Very close to the heart of ocean drive. Luiz at the reception was also very helpful, friendly and professional he really did make a difference with helpful suggestions on day trips and places to eat around for breakfast.

Reception operates for half a day only so any problems after 10pm were yours to solve or live with (potentially). TV didn't work or the phone. The furniture was a bit dated and made the room look the same. Bathroom looked even older but everything was clean.

- the room is huge and very comfy (mind you, the hotel has been built back in 1941); it has a huge 2-person bed, a tiny closet, a bigger bathroom, large TV and writing table; aaah, also, you have got yourself a microwave, a coffee machine, an iron and smaller things useful for the beach; - there are 2 markets nearby - if you don't wanna dine at expensive and awful (in terms of food quality) beach diners - quick stuff can be organized with products you find at those stores (go for fruits); - Louis, the admin, is extremely helpful - every time I asked for something he was for there for me (even if I didn't ask, there was always a helpful hint or offer - be it a beach umbrella or towels, or anything of sorts); - the hotel location is... well, 3 minutes from the water if you are slow :D; 2 minutes from those famous 'neon places' at the promenada; - the safe works! (I know it shouldn't be mentioned but my safe back in NY refused to cooperate); and this hotel, while being old, will surprise you with everything working as expected; - they have organized an experience for me - the Jet Ski ride; nothing to add there - I have appeared there & those folks were waiting for me already; everything went great;

- nothing, I got much more than I paid for, if I am honest. - hm, if I was to be very picky: 1) the water volume in the bathroom is thin, even if turned to the max; but well, the pipes must be quite old & it is close to the beach, not easy to pump, presumably. 2) the street for obvious reasons is very loud, if you can't sleep & traveling with a child - think about it twice; but I don't have neither of these problems.

The location of this hotel is great, right in the heart of South Beach and close to everything you need. The staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful: they were able to accommodate our late check-in and free beach towels and even an umbrella were provided free of charge. The studio was very spacious and decorated in the Art Deco style which felt very authentic. Moreover, the place was very clean and had a fridge, microwave and a coffee maker.

The room was quite noisy, especially on the weekends as it was located on the corner of the building, hence on a corner of one of the busiest streets in Miami. This, however, did not impact our rating of the hotel as the rest was exceptional. If you have a preference for a quiet room, make sure to message the hotel beforehand.

At first I wasn't happy with my room. But I talked with Louis and since I was staying for a week he upgraded me a day later to a much better room which was excellent! great service from Louis. The hotel is not new, it's old and you can see it from the bathroom facility, manual door locks, etc. But it has its charms. The hotel is located at a good place, in Collins avenue in the less crowded area, 2 min walk from main road ocean drive and 4 min from the great beach strip. There's also a cool bar very close (Azteca) You can get beach towels daily, just ask at the reception. They clean the room daily at your request and refill the coffee.

The first room was small, noisy (under the stairs) and low maintained (rough bed, only 2 cloth hangers). Could've been great if the TV wasn't some 3-4 local antenna channels, but was chromecast connected or with netflix. Would've been also good if there was water cooler inhouse.

I really loved the location of the hotel, 5 minutes walking we get at the beach area with a lot of options of restaurants around and also at the beach. I loved the comfort of the bed, the size of the room, shower with good temperature and spray of water, and also the staff people, they are super welcoming.

If there’s a thing that I didn’t like is just the check in time, it’s til 10:30pm. My flight was at night and I also wasn’t able to do it

It was great that the hotel also has a ticket booking office for plenty of tours in the area. I loved the typical Miami beach style to the whole hotel - much nicer than staying in a faceless modern hotel which could be anywhere in the world. I loved sitting on the hotel terrace and just doing some people watching. A lot is going on but it isn't loud in the rooms and feels completely safe. Really good vibe in Miami Beach. It is also only one block away from the beach. Luis working in reception was sooooooo helpful in every way. Made us feel totally at home.

Would have been great to have a breakfast option but in the end the bakery just around the corner or the great diner on the corner of Washington / 11th made up for this.

Location is very good near miami beach and cvs pharmacy around the corner for your toiletries, water snacks etc. Quality restaurants nearby, cuban etc. Fun bars and nightlife also nearby. cleaning staff were friendly and respectful. Receptionist nice gave me kettle for room to make tea. But there is already coffee machine in room. Good adjustable air conditioning in room. Comfy beds. Would stay again.

Location, location, location! This hotel is ideal if you are trying to stay close to the action in south beach Miami. It was walking distance to everything. Loved the flexibility this hotel offered me!

The floors are sssssuuuuppppeeerrr thin. I could hear everything that was happening in the room above me. Meaning I only slept when the people above me slept/left for the day/night. If I am to stay here again I will definitely be requesting to stay on the top floor
