Character in abundance, comfy bed good shower places to eat and drink within walking distance. Staff were so informative about the area and hotel. Nice old style cinema across the street.

Nothing that was a problem for us, I did mark it down on facilities for not having a pool purely for consistency with other hotels I have rated. It wasn’t far from the railroad either which probably had two or three trains a night running but again wasn’t an issue for us .

This was the first night of our honeymoon. Our apartment had flooded the day before the weeding so needless to say things were going sideways initially. I had requested rose petals for the floor and around the tub and there was also a bottle of champagne and cookies. The location is in a fantastic small downtown area in a truly romantic setting. I was sent the instructions on getting in earlier in the day and provided all the information needed. We arrived and were able to park right out front. The entrance of the building is amazing and my new bride was blown away. We went upstairs and I opened the door to our room and then I had her go in first and she just froze. Everything that the staff had done was pure perfection. We only stayed the one night but this will now be somewhere we come back to often. I cannot say how amazing this hidden gem is. I had never heard of Hogansville Ga before this and am so thankful I stumbled upon this fantastic hotel!! If you are in need of a romantic get away, look no further!!!!

This place is a gem. Loved it. True charm.cleanliness was exceptional,bar staff amazing. Appreciate how the original character shines through the whole hotel and grounds.if you want something charming this is your place. We would definitely return.

I wish there was a coffee machine in the room.it was lovely how it was set up in the common area,but I didn't want to have to get dressed to make my coffee. Also small toiletries in the bathroom would have been appreciated

The hotel was comfortable and the staff was nice and hospitable. Interestingly enough, my interaction with staff was over the phone and through text except for the cleaning lady. Fortunately, my Spanish was enough to communicate with her.

A Continental breakfast would have been nice. The contactless check in and check out was efficient but, not expected. This was partially my own fault for arriving late and departing early.

The Grand Hotel is truly "Grand". It is a beautiful hotel that lets you experience a trip into the past. The blend of history combined with elegant modern touches make it so memorable. As if that wasn't enough, the staff are in a category all their own. They make you feel like you are the best of friends! You feel truly appreciated. They strive to make your stay exceptional and they succeed admirably! Thank you Lauren for being so warm and welcoming! Thank you Tiffany for making us feel like family! We wish you all of life's best for your impending Marriage. Thank you Jordan for your creative and award winning cocktails! At least, we feel they deserve awards. We know you love your craft because we got to experience the fruits of your labor. Yum!

We hated having to leave.

This was a really nice experience. We were in town to help clean up after the tornadoes that hit in the Greenville area. The coffee bar was a perfect start to the day. It was so nice to come back to this cozy and amazing hotel after a long day cleaning debris and cutting down trees. We enjoyed a couple of drinks in the 1890 Room and had some delicious food. That particular night they had live music and it was very relaxing.

Everything was amazing. I was a little disappointed the fireplace in our room didn't work. But other than that we really enjoyed our stay and look forward to coming back.

The building was beautiful, and the convenience of the cocktail bar downstairs was very nice. The check-in was so easy with no contact. Everything was done over the phone via texts. Also, there is a used book store on the corner.

The only part I felt was a bit sad was that the little shops around town seemed to be struggling a little. Otherwise everything was really nice,

This place is absolutely beautiful and charming!! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! We had zero interaction with a single soul while there other than texting and we preferred it that way! We will definitely be back and have already told all of our friends and family about this enchanting and charming getaway that is a little adventure of its own!

Absolutely nothing!

Beautiful old refurbished hotel that was a welcome change from staying in cookie cutter chain hotels! Very comfortable bed and a great shower. Loved all the space in the huge sitting area outside our room. Bar downstairs had great cocktails and a cool vibe and the outside patio area was beautifully landscaped.

There were four very loud, long trains that passed close by over night making it difficult to sleep. We couldn't find an ice machine anywhere. The upstairs, outside veranda porch could have used some more furniture and attention. It seemed like it was a work in progress.

Great location and really neat old hotel. Our bed was comfortable and our room was clean. Great bar in the hotel! I highly recommend this hotel!

This is an OLD hotel...so know it is not sound proof, which did not bother us. If you don't have to have complete silence, this is a great place to stay! No refrigerator in the room. FYI, you can hear others talking and walking on the old pine floors outside your door.
