We had an incredible stay at McMillan Inn. The warm welcome from Anna, Eric and Melissa was exceptional and they have added some wonderful touches that make this inn stand out (porch swing, cookies and homemade treats, iced tea available all day!). Our room was grand and wonderfully decorated (and yet only a standard room) with a huge, comfy bed. Breakfast was truly special with a home cooked entree that focused on local dishes and varied each day. The location is within easy walking distance of all that you would want to see on a holiday in Savannah. We can't recommend this accommodation highly enough!

Charming, cozy place to stay. Great value considering the character and special amenities added to the Savannah experience in a way a hotel the same price could not. Breakfast was also a special addition that truly added to the value and experience there.

The only disadvantage was the fact that the room entry for the Gaston was located inside the dining room. Meaning you would be woken up at 9 am or during clean up time if you were to get in a nap later. However, I would still stay at this inn again without hesitation and plan to again. It was truly an unforgettable experience and this one disadvantage is preventable if you prepare for the early awakening.

Absolutely loved the Inn and would recommend to friends and family. The location is perfect for getting around Savannah and you are surrounded by so many historical museums and houses. Restaurants and pubs are close by. The staff were attentive to our needs and went out of their way to ensure we were all catered for. Breakfast is typical southern fare, so a tad unusual for the UK palate but was very well cooked and presented.

If I was lucky enough to visit again, I would definitely want a bigger room. We were in the Whittaker and knew it was on the small side, but the positive was that it was accessible from the street and did not have to maneuver the stairs at the front.

This is one of my favorite Inns to stay in. There were so many extras added to the stay. For example, 3 different varieties of cookies and other delicious homemade pastries offered later in the day and into evening. The sweet homemade peach tea was delicious and refreshing. The breakfast was delicious! The inside of the Inn is beautifully decorated. My room was wonderful. It was large, with a king size bed, fireplace and sitting area. Eric, Melissa and all the staff were extremely helpful and knowledgeable. I would definitely make this my regular stay when coming to Savannah.

I liked everything!

I visited right after Christmas and it was so charming. The decorations made me feel like I was stepping into a hallmark movie! The staff was kind and check in was seamless. I appreciated the soap, lotion, and shampoo left in our room. Also, the rustic charm of having an actual key to the room was a special added touch!

We stayed in the Gaston room which was located right next to the common area (it was clearly stated when booking), but we couldn’t shake the slight awkwardness of being right off the common area. Noise traveled easily in the echoing house, and so did conversations. It felt like guests were right outside our door. We were prepared for this when booking, but it still didn’t shake the slight discomfort when there. Will book again, just probably in another room!

a truly beautiful place with all the exquisite trappings of old Savannah. the hostess was warm and welcoming and gave us a tour. there was coffee, teas and afternoon treats. our room in the carriage house was so old-world elegant with every amenity including a large jacuzzi bath and fireplace. The bed comfort was excellent. The included breakfast was multi-course and very nice indeed with a hot entree. All served on china in one of the stunning dining rooms. There was ample free parking, usually a Savannah nightmare, right outside the inn. A 10 in every way.

Great residential area within walking distance of Forsyth Park, tour trolley stop, etc. Liked the privacy our "suite" provided. Loved meeting and talking to the owners and staff. Thoroughly enjoyed meeting guests at dining room table breakfast. The breakfasts and snacks were delicious. The courtyard was a great area to relax.

Many stairs inside and outside (some quite steep) which were challenging.

Being close to Forsyth park to the park is fantastic. It’s easy to get to many of the house tours by walking, and the area around the house also has great architecture, so it was fun to just walk the area.

Some people didn’t observe quiet hours, but it was minimal, and somewhat expected. It’s not a hotel, so the doors are not going to be as solid for sound purposes. But it shouldn’t keep you from staying here at all. It happened one day, and the rest of the time it was fine.

The breakfast was WONDERFULL. The husband is an EXCEPTIONAL COOK. His food tasted better than some of the food I purchased from some of the restaurants in Savannah. The Owners and All the staff were so friendly and helpful. I loved my room. My bed was comfortable. I slept like a baby. I will come back in the Fall to visit.

One of the mirrors in my bathroom was chipped. Several areas/patches in the bathroom had been repainted. I recommend that you repaint the whole bathroom.

Lynn and I loved everything! The daily breakfast was first class, AND, delicious! The staff were all really helpful and SO nice. Eric and Melissa are the proud owners, and they treat everyone like royalty. Sitting on the front steps at the end of day, with the c/at, was particularly memorable. We came for two days, but stayed for three, and we'll be back. This place is wonderful and very hard to leave. Thank you all.
