Very good location, close proximity to everything. The toiletries are of very good quality, pillows are comfortable, bed too. Water is complementary all the time. Parking is easy. The breakfast is amazing! You should come there just for it :) - big thanks to chef! And the staff was very helpful and friendly - thanks for your care! It’s really old building which is nice - the atmosphere, the look is beautiful, but there’s a downside of this too.

Because the building is old, the room has specific smell (you feel it when entering and in few minutes you adjust to it). Wardrobe is quite uncomfortable, but not critically. Air-conditioner is noisy. All this is not critical, fully absorbed but the great things about this place.

Lovely old Inn. Our room was comfortable, and bath had been recently updated. Breakfasts were great - they offer a choice between two entrees or egg option, plus other sides, etc. We stayed several nights so each morning's offerings were different. Also, the late afternoon 'happy hour' was a great time to meet other guests and have a glass (or two) of wine and enjoy a nice selection of appetizers. And to top off after we had a great day exploring Savannah, they offered dessert (and port wine) in the evening. The staff was very accommodating. Location is good. Parking would be the only issue, if any. There is only on-street parking, and during the week there are city parking fees - which you can pay at on-site. Would not hesitate to stay here again!

The entire facility was very clean and well maintained. The staff defined true southern hospitality! The complimentary breakfast was beyond compare! The food was delicious and hearty. The complimentary afternoon snacks and evening desserts, plus the 24 hour access to hot and cold beverages, were completely unexpected. What a nice surprise! The night before our check out, we advised the front desk that we would be leaving early and would have to miss breakfast. They offered to make us hot sandwiches, with sides, to go. I've never experienced that level of hospitality anywhere else I've ever stayed. The Eliza Thompson house should run trainings for hotels nationwide on how to treat their guests!

The location is fantastic, and you could not ask for more. Also, the staff is available 24/7 and always happy to help. I don't know who trained them, but everyone, from the front desk to the kitchen workers, was kind, polite, and helpful. I was extremely pleasantly surprised when, after a bit of noise in the hallway one night (it could have been ghosted!) I could change rooms and upgrade without ANY hustle. I even got a complimentary bonus.

If there is something to look at and improve, it would be old furniture and indoor amenities. I don't watch TV, but I imagine a newer, more modern set would be better for someone who does. The same can be applied to closets and other furniture.

Fantastic location! The inn is on a cobblestone street, on a quiet block with beautiful homes, and is close to many shops, cafés, restaurants, bars, several of the city's squares, and points of interest. They're all within 5 to 20 minutes on foot. Located about 3 blocks from Forsyth Park and 1 block from Mrs. Wilkes Dining Room, the inn has a cozy parlor, which was decorated for Christmas during our stay over Thanksgiving weekend. There was an inviting fire in the fireplace on the 2 cold days. The king bed in our charming room was very comfortable. The staff are very welcoming and friendly and will help with anything you need. We got a recommendation for a cute little café frequented primarily by locals. The included breakfast is quite filling. The free hors d'oeuvres each evening and port and dessert each night are a nice treat and a chance to interact with other guests if you choose to do so. Of note: this is a historic inn built in the 1850s, so there are many steps inside, as well as to enter the reception area from the street. There is no elevator. Guests with mobility issues may find it a bit challenging to access or navigate within the space.

Breakfast was fresh and delicious. The kitchen staff were attentive and came by several times to check on me or to top of my coffee cup. The chef came by and introduced himself which I thought was a nice touch. Rooms were quiet even though the building structure is older. The beds were comfortable. The rest of the staff ensured my stay was a pleasant experience. Location is right in the heart of all the historical museums, houses/buidlings, and squares/parks.

That I had to leave. Time permitting, I would have stayed a couple more nights.

Very attractive and comfortable room, furnished in a 'heritage' style in keeping with the inn. As was the lounge where tea, coffee and soft drinks were available at all times. wine and light snacks availability from 5pm, with a desert from 7pm. a good opportunity to meet and talk to other guests. A changing breakfast menu provided the evening before to be completed and returned, then served in the attractive courtyard. Within reason you were able to amend the dishes without any issues. Fridgerator and freezer available for guest use. Competent, friendly staff who went out of their way for us.

Really cannot think of anything that we didn't like.

Modern and quiet courtyard rooms. You make your breakfast time/choices the night before, which meant only a short wait the next morning. Just perfect casual courtyard seating. Pre-dinner drinks and canapes, and then later dessert! Kudos to chef Mike for coming up with such tasty and different creations each day. Great location on one of the prettiest streets,

Curtains in the courtyard rooms were not sufficient to keep out the apparently "always on" courtyard and outside corridor lights. The four-poster bed's mattress was ridiculously high, requiring use of the (included) steps. But why make it so difficult to begin with? I could imagine this could cause problems for some guests,

Staff totally exceptional- Kendal and Charles made our stay so special- they are such an asset to the hotel. Addition of drinks before dinner was a pleasant way to meet other travellers and to celebrate a birthday with friends who travelled to meet us in Savannah. Location of hotel couldn’t have been better with a short stroll through beautiful squares to the middle of town and the riverfront. Breakfast was delicious with menu changes each morning. Room comfortable, although a/c was very noisy.

The dining area was open to a garden area, very quaint sitting area. Breakfast staff was attentive and the chef came out to ask about our meals. Coffee delivered to room before breakfast would have been amazing!
