the location was easy to find and there were a lot of shops and restaurants to choose from. the facilities were clean although we didn't get to use the pool. the best part was the employees who greeted me checking in, especially the lady checking me out. don't remember her name but her attitude and personality was the best I've ever seen at any hotel

the shower was not so great as the water pressure was low. Maybe just needs a better shower head with different settings. breakfast had no eggs which was very disappointing for us. I know they are high but so was the room for one night. in the king suites, make sure you get heavy curtains for the door the separate the room from the living area. oh, the wifi was buffering all night

Staff was very friendly and professional. The breakfast area was very clean. Overall property was well kept and clean. Beds were very comfortable. Having a fridge in the room was key as well.

The shower rod was angled out of the walls and at a slope that the shower curtain could not stay closed. It was open over 1 ft on each side making it cold and hard to shower. When receiving fresh towels, we had 3 sets, we would only receive 1 or 2 and would have to call again. Didn't get a floor mat replaced. So attention to detail could improve. Also, need fruit with the breakfast.

After a 10 hr drive my wife and I were treated by two of the nicest ladies as we walked into the lobby to check in to our room. Tyeisha and Katina treated us like long lost family. I have traveled in my jobs for 40 plus years and I have never been treated better. The facility was very clean and comfortable and our room was spotless. The bed was very comfortable and there were several pillows that we could chose one that suited our sleeping needs. We really appreciated how quiet the room was and in the morning we were treated to a continental breakfast and a good hot cup of coffee. The morning staff thanked us for staying and invited us to stay again if we were back in Champaign. Because the hotel is only a 5 minute drive to downtown where we had a very nice meal and we totally enjoyed our stay, we will make the Country Inn Suites our place to stay when we travel to and from our winter haven in Ft. Myers, Fl. Thank you for making us feel special. Great staff. Tom Lindsay

There was nothing negative about this hotel

The room was definitely clean. I was told housekeeping comes every 3 days unless requested but they came every day. I appreciated having fresh towels and trash pick up daily. There were a ton of outlets including USB outlets. The furnishings were newer and in great condition. Loved having plenty of actual pillows, not decorative ones.

The shower head wasn't great and the shower curtain wouldn't stay closed. The curtain rod drooped slightly so gravity pulled the curtain open a bit at each end. The TP holder wasn't firmly mounted. Overall, it just needed some maintenance.

We stayed at sub-par place in Chicago before this, so comparatively, the Country Inn was spectacular. The breakfast was great and the dining room is very pleasant and spacious. I only discovered the pool and fitness room before we checked out, but they both looked very nice and my family would have enjoyed both. The location is great - right off the freeway, but not so close that you can hear the traffic, and .5 mi from Target, Walmart, and any store or type of food you need. We were there to move my son into an apartment near UIUC, so location was perfect for us. It was a 15 min drive to campus. Room was clean and we enjoyed our stay there.

One of the staff was not very friendly, but others were great. There is a washing machine and dryer on the 2nd floor, but it only takes quarters and the front desk does not always have enough quarters. We did a full load in the washer, but needed to run the dryer twice to adequately dry our load. Be sure to ask for extra quarters just in case.

Staff was nice. Much above average in pleasant verbal interaction. Nice, and cute, staircase from lobby to 2nd floor. I like using the stairs, but stairs in hotels can be out of the way and scary. Bedding of one of the beds seemed clean. Chairs and carpet seemed clean. Room overall seemed cleaner than the average motel. Room was pleasantly decorated.

No towel racks in bathroom. Shower curtain rod coming off wall (reported to staff). Staining on one of the bed's bedding. Door to bathroom looked dirty, like it was last cleaned months ago, especially on the side facing the bathroom. Bathroom walls also did not look clean in places. Breakfast started at 6 AM. I needed it at 5 AM, so was not able to have breakfast before leaving, which was disappointing.

The cost for a single night stay is outrageous. The hotels in the area have taken full advantage of college parents trying to come and visit their child. They know they can charge an exorbitant fee because there are no other options for a decent stay at a reasonable price. The hotel was great, but stop raising your prices because you have the market to do so. The amount I paid for this hotel was far too much for what it is worth.

Rooms were clean, well stocked, and modern looking. The pool was clean and adequate with nice lounging around it. The pool was cold, and the showers in the pool room were scalding hot, with no cold water at all. The breakfast was very good for continental. Mini waffles and French toast, eggs,sausage, cereal, etc I really enjoyed the aesthetics of the inn. Easy on off the highway and many eateries and shopping nearby.

The pool room showers are scalding hot and have no cold water mixing at all. Very dangerous to children! The bathroom door in 207 is not fitted well to the frame making it not close easily or the door gets stuck closed. Because of that the door knob is getting broken too. This needs to be fixed immediately as young children and arthritic adults would not be able to get out of the bathroom and could be trapped.

This is the most caring and kind hotel I stayed in. On the day I checked out, I mistakenly locked the car key in trunk. I rented it from Herz. I am Chinese and my English is not good. The front desk lady spent a lot of time helping me call Herz. As we all know, Herz's phone calls are difficult to get through, and she didn't tire of it and called for several hours. Later, the unlocking personnel sent by Herz were also unable to help me open the trunk of the car. She came to my car and tried to help me open it. Another man from the hotel, I suspect the boss, also tried to help me open it and called Toyota for help. I am so grateful to them. They are loved ones, and I will remember their help. I will still stay here next time I come to Champagne.

We did not eat at breakfast, but they had the standard breakfast at all hotels.

The handicap parking had new concrete put in next to it. Due to this the yellow lines indicating no parking in the access lane are mostly gone. There was a couple parked their blocking access to our car, the were inside the car smoking. When I asked if they could move they ignored me. They need to have signs or something to prevent this, like no parking access lane.
