The ease of finding it right off the highway. The bar and grill with patio close and convenient. The room was clean.

The breakfast was lacking terribly. It should not say free breakfast. It should say cereal, toast and bagels. The gentlemen at the counter was very lacksadaisical. In the middle of my transaction he stopped and took care of two other people who had just walked in. He barely spoke and was not very friendly. THE BED WAS VERY HARD. DEFINITELY NOT A TWO NIGHT PLACE AGAIN. NOT ENOUGH PILLOWS TO MAKE UP FOR THE HARD BED.

Convenient location. Friendly staff. Beds and pillows are comfortable. Sheets are clean. We didn’t use the pool, but the outdoor patio area looked nice.

A little run down. (The room next to ours was gutted and filled with lots of building materials and a table and chairs. The door latch was broken and the door was ajar!) The room smelled kind of musty when we entered. Had to crank up the air conditioning to freshen the air. The bathroom fan was really loud. The continental breakfast was a little meager. No fresh fruit at all.

The atmosphere and the people, both guests and staff were awesome! The room was a bit small, but well appointed. The breakfast was awesome, too! The housekeeping folks were super friendly and helpful. I also enjoyed having the Spirits bar and grill on site. A great experience on the whole.

The pool was closed, due to needing cleaning. The clothes dryer took 3 rounds to dry a modest load of clothes. We were on the highway side, and the truck traffic noise was a bit much. This next thing is totally subjective, but I found the bed to be hard, but my husband loved it, so basically a preference thing. All minor issues, however. I do wish there was a shuttle to the casinos, as well.

Rooms are big and beds are comfortable. The bathrooms are a little older, but they are clean and still serve the purpose. The location is the best very close to downtown, easy to find. They have a place called "Spirits" that serves adult beverages, and bar food and live entertainment on the weekends. The front desk has a printed schedule of local events happening just in case you are looking for something to do.

My door didn't close very well, we had to slam it shut.

Cleaning staff were helpful and nice but front desk staff were rude. My second night one of them stormed out looking mad and said she needs to go look for maintenance when I have even start talking. The big white man that was at front desk was just giving me dirty disgusted look when I checked out this morning. It would be nice to start off with good morning how’s your day. Something more welcoming.

The facility was clean, staff was friendly and helpful; the room was well appointed with refrigerator, microwave, coffee pot, plenty of towels & pillows, comfortable bed; nice size pool; restaurant/ bar on site and breakfast included.

We had a room next to stairs, early morning people would drag their bags down the steps and it woke us. No pure protein options at breakfast.

Really easy to get to, it's genuinely quiet and that is a huge plus for me. Room was pretty clean and very comfortable, the only reason I say "pretty" clean is simply because the bathroom floor was covered in hair and light debris but otherwise everything else was fantastic. I chalked it up to cleaning attendants just being super busy. Staff are super nice and I would absolutely stay here again and would be happy to recommend it. I have never stayed somewhere where it was THIS quiet and I really love that. The staff are also the friendliest, sweetest people. The night desk clerk that was working when I checked in was my favorite! :)

The only issue I can speak to was the dirty bathroom floor. That's literally it. Everything else was amazing! I never really am able to get any sleep when I stay at motels/hotels and for once in my entire life, I was able to here 😍

Great location for doing things in both Dubuque and Galena. Great price. Has attached bar and lounge. Pool was closed as it was October. Average motel but clean. Tucked away between a bluff and the highway so feels cut off from the rest of the town.

The man working the front desk doesn’t care about his job or any type of personality at all. The woman at the front desk was sweet and helpful.

We love the location, because it is so close to downtown. The room is nice size, and the bed is very comfortable. We enjoy coming here because the pool area is very clean and nice. Also, the bar area is very nice, and the grill is open late if you get hungry. They also have a very nice outside area where you can have your drinks or watch the game on comfortable outdoor seating and a very nice gas firepit. They had live music on Friday when we arrived and also on Saturday. The staff is very nice, and we always meet very friendly people. This is our second time here and we will be back again.

I didn't like that other people are so dirty and leave their garbage in the parking lot for the staff to clean up. There is plenty of garbage containers around to dispose of your trash. So sad that some people are so lazy.

Friendly staff, just a bit early checkin and a room that far exceeded expectations after reading a bunch of grumpy reviews of this place. We arrived on a cold gray day and the room was cozy. Mattress was excellent. We left early the next morning, so didn't check the breakfast.

I forget to check on elevator access to upper floors. That's on me. But I have found where to make that a permanent filter on booking.com, so that won't happen again.
