My recent stay at your hotel was truly exceptional. From the moment I arrived, I was enveloped in a captivating atmosphere; the building's rich history, charming architecture, and elegant style combined to create an incredibly beautiful and welcoming ambiance. The feeling of stepping back in time, yet enjoying modern comforts, was delightful. The staff were consistently pleasant and attentive, going above and beyond to ensure my comfort and satisfaction. Their professionalism and genuine warmth significantly enhanced my experience. The dining experience was equally impressive; the food was not only excellent but beautifully presented, showcasing a clear commitment to quality ingredients and culinary expertise. My room was impeccably clean and well-appointed. Beyond the spotless condition, the comfort of the bed and the luxurious linens were particularly noteworthy. Sleeping soundly on such high-quality bedding was a welcome treat after a long journey.

The entire place seemed dark with low lighting and the rooms curtains were closed upon arrival which I think should’ve been opened because of the nice view from 6th floor. Tried to eat at Caroline’s the next morning and servers were rude, stood there 10 minutes and nobody acknowledged us even being there so we left. Not hard to make eye contact and say sit wherever you like or someone will be right there!

This is my third stay at The Julian and I have never been disappointed. The rooms are very nice, beds are so comfortable, and the bathroom is very big in the suite. This is the first time I have eaten at the restaurant located in the hotel and it was delicious, and prices were good. This hotel location is close to many eating, drinking and entertainment places. The lobby is beautiful and there are many areas to sit and chat or to work on your computer if needed. The staff is also very nice. I will stay here again when in the area. Oh, and I love the noon check out!!

We were only there for one night, would have loved to be in the area longer - perhaps in the future. We got in late, used the hot tub before it closed - great! Looked like the gym was great too - could have used it if we weren't on such a tight time line. Super close to the YMCA locally - was able to get in a short swim before I started my day. SOO glad there was coffee at the front desk - great little perk! Looked like spa services would have been nice, and local restaurants if we had time.

An amazing historic hotel right downtown. Great staff and the rooms are just right. Surround by a variety of bars restaurants it is so central to anything you want to do. Caroline’s on the lower level has a great menu breakfast, lunch and dinner. They also have free parking out back.

Nothing, but one more thing we liked was being able to open the big old windows and enjoy the outside.

The hotel as some lovely history to it and the interior design and decor is really beautiful and its been restored wonderfully. We ate in the restaurant and the pork chop was probably the best pork chop we've ever eaten, cooked absolutely beautifully.

There wasn't an awful lot of interaction from reception staff and the restaurant is a little upmarket diner ish which could do with a little bit more style to match rest of hotel interior and the wonderful meal we had there.

Convenient location, a lot of activities and restaurants within walking distance. Nice staff. Pool temp was very nice, whirlpool was relaxing. Bed was comfortable.

Was disappointed in the condition of the hotel for the price. Granted, I had a cheaper room but it was very small, closet had room for only about 3 items with the two provided robes. Bathroom sink was cracked. Furniture has a lot of wear. There was a glop of toothpaste? on the bathroom wall. Elevator carpet was dirty around the edges. Patio outside the pool area was very disappointing, not used to its potential.

The rooms were redone in "timely" reality. Riverboat Bar's manager up on drink knowledge, personality, professional friendliness. Outside seating wonderful, enjoyed trains...memories from my childhood :) Caroline's had time in a bottle presentations and wonderful little amenities, food excellent, wonderful discount for hotel guests. If front desk couldn't accommodate, were Very friendly and helpful in giving updates. Was appreciated since I did not get River or City view, but a side building view, a lower price...THANK YOU.

NOT MUCH Burned out bulb, bath fan needed a little attention.

The room was very clean and comfortable. There is a great Italian restaurant 1/2 a block away. From the outside it looks like just an old brick building, but walk inside and it is very nice. Has a grand staircase. We had drink tickets to the restaurant/lounge. Just know that when you check in is when the thermostat is triggered to warm or cool the room. You have to ask the front desk to adjust your temperature.

Hotel Julien is a beautifully restored old hotel. We park ed in their lot across the street, had happy hour (half priced) drinks on the gorgeous outdoor deck, slept so comfortably I woke up thinking I was at home and the next morning walked to a lovely breakfast spot, that introduced us to the huge weekly Farmer's Market. Everything was great!

When we turned down the bed, the sheet was stained, an old stain, but still. We pulled it off and used the one around the duvet instead, so no problem.
