We stayed 3 nights, the Lobby and halls were very clean and well maintained. Every contact we had with management and staff was a pleasure they gave the impression that they cared about our comfort.The room was nice, stocked and clean, we had a whirlpool tub that was relaxing and enjoyable. The complimentary breakfast was a big plus, large variety of choices Eggs, bacon or sausage, Oatmeal, make your own waffles, fruit, cereal, yogurt, and excellent coffee, I wish I would have asked someone the brand.

They need to have a sign suggesting parents SUPERVISE their children when heading to the buffet so they don’t run amok. Fortunately, we got our bacon before a young child with no parental supervision after filling a plate that could feed a family of four subsequently sneezed on the remaining bacon. A young child from another family treated the area like a track field running laps back and forth nearly tripped an older gentleman with a cane. Parents fault not the hotel.

Very clean rooms, pool was fun for kids, allowed to bring drinks into the pool while watching the kids play, good breakfast, very ice staff.

When booking or two rooms we were told they don't have joining rooms, with the door separating them, and was told they would put our rooms as close together as they could. The rooms were across the hall from each other which worked out fine but one of the rooms had the door in it that was connected to the room next door so that was disappointing finding out we were lied to about it but we would still stay there again.

The bed was very comfortable. Liked the bench to put our suitcase on. TV was small but adequate. Appreciated the room darkening curtains.

Property has a non- smoking policy but our room (carpet & walls) smelled of smoke! The bathroom fan did nothing to keep it steam free during showers. No night light in the bathroom. I appreciated the refrigerator but needed a freezer to freeze my ice packs to keep my insulin cold for the next travel day. The bottom of the tub was dirty.

Chris was great and helpful also the lady working early morning with an accent was more than great! Very helpful and patient and staying on top of everything.

The older lady working Saturday day/evening. Very rude and pretty much accused our group of taking the tic tac toe in the lobby. All she had to do was look for it and there it was in the shelf. Extremely rude and not personable.

The setting is nice. The grounds are well kept. The location is good. The staff is great! The bed was good but not great.

There was hair on the light colored bathroom floor, which made the errant hair hard to miss. It's an oversight that really shouldn't happen. It's not life-threatening, but a real ick factor that makes one question what we can't see. I could clearly hear the people in the next room when they were talking. Thankfully, they were early to bed people.

I enjoyed the cleanliness of the room! everything was prepared beautifully for us. every staff member we interacted with were always so helpful and friendly.

One thing i didnt enjoy was where we were located. it wasnt a big deal or too much of a disturbance but we were right by the stairs and when people were walking up or down it was pretty loud.

Comfortable, cozy, had a nice pool area and gaming room.

We were placed across from the party rooms and two nights of our stay was a lot of noise into the late hours. We were told we shouldn’t have been placed there, those rooms are generally for those who are with the groups in those party rooms. We were offered a discount for the error.

Everything. We went there for our 25th wedding anniversary and ended up being very sick. We were stuck in our room for 3 days. The staff was so phenomenal they brought us extra pillows, offered us bread, crackers and tea. They were the most friendly people we have ever encountered in the hospitality industry. The rooms and hotel were immaculate. The little things that housekeeping did went above and beyond, little bits of origami with the toilet paper and tissues, and personal note. Will 1000% stay again. Even though we were unable to take advantage of the facilities the pool, kiddie pool and hot tub were well taken care of.

There was absolutely nothing we did not like about the hotel.

The pool was an excellent surprise for our kids. The slide was much bigger than we thought and offered hours of fun. The hot tub was well balanced. I like salt water pools, so you may not like it if you don't like them, but it wasn't overly salty. Breakfast was easy with different options, not gourmet but most of the family was satisfied. Customer service was fantastic. Family suite with 2 queens and sleeper sofa worked well, not luxury but very good for the value. Convenient to be walking distance from a Walmart. Easy drive to downtown Galena.

May have been just one bad room, but the sink had a slow drain. Would definitely stay here again.

We liked the free breakfast. We appreciated the overall cleanliness of the facility and room. My wife liked the whirlpool. Also liked the fresh baked cookies!

Need better quality toilet paper. Wouldn’t even tear cleanly at the seams. The bed was a little firm for what we are accustomed to. Common sense but maybe customers should be told not to run their in-room whirlpools after 10:30 at night.
