Grounds and outdoor appearance were beautiful. The food in the dining room was delicious and breakfast served to the room was a nice touch. Staff was courteous.

Our room was called The Veranda suite and was advertised as having a Mississippi River view. There was no veranda per se and the river was so far out the view was mainly grass. The room itself is spacious but tired. Could use a Keurig and a true honor bar with soda. Could not manage to get ice for soda and the soda down in the lobby was limited and Luke warm. Pillows and bath towels need to be replaced. There is no help with your luggage and my almost 70 year old husband struggled a bit dragging ours up the flight of stairs to our room.

Dinner was great. The location and grounds were fabulous. Outdoor patio and seating options were very accommodating. The staff was super attentive.

Felt the rooms could use updating. Remove the big tub from room and enlarge bathroom. A separate water closet is always fantastic.

The room and the staff are top notch. Owner very friendly. Breakfast was outstanding.

The parking, restaurant patrons get preferred parking over the residents staying in the suites. Need to have parking for residents while staying there. My wife and I had to walk in a pouring rain storm to get to our room while people at the restaurant were given preferential treatment. Other than what is listed above place was great.

The room was large. The bed was comfy with plenty of pillows. It was very quiet inside and outside the room. Make your own FULL pot of good coffee. Jacuzzi tub was relaxing. Breakfast was great. The place was like new.

No elevator and no offer of assistance to get our luggage up the skinny stairs. Took a long while to get the hot water up to temp. The view of the Mississippi was just the backwaters and was a long ways off. Long drive to the middle of nowhere.

The breakfasts were wonderful. There was plenty to eat. The evening meal was fabulous! There were many selections and the preparation and presentation were also exceptional. The staff was friendly and extremely professional. Breakfast is generally served in the room but we were meeting friends from England and requested seating in the dining room. Our request was granted and the owners served us each morning.

There is nothing to dislike!!

Absolutely beautiful accommodations. The staff were amazing. Courteous, friendly and genuine. Wait staff at the bar and dining area were so incredible. Breakfast delivered to the room each morning was incredible The grounds were kept up impeccably, and very beautiful. There is nothing here that wasn't amazing. Will definitely stay here again.

We loved the peaceful location and ambiance. It was very welcoming walking up the door. Very clean and classy feel inside. Front desk staff always had a smile. We never heard another guest during our stay. Very quiet. The restaurant was incredible. It was very nice to be able to walk to our room after having a very good meal rather the get in a car and drive. Breakfast delivered to our room each morning. Room cleaned and freshened up each day with cookies on the table.

It would have been nice to have more outdoor seating. Maybe a fire pit area. It was beautiful fall weather when we were there.

The staff was very friendly. The breakfast each morning was very good. Goldmoor Inn provides electric vehicle charging for guests. The English Cottage was very clean and comfortable. Goldmoor Inn is about 15 minutes from downtown Galena.

The grounds of the property by the EV chargers could use a little more light at night.

The scenery, there huge king size bed, the room in general, the food especially the breakfast!...everything was amazing including the staff!!

The place was amazing.
