We did not take advantage of the breakfast. However, we did use the restaurant for dinners and drinks. We wanted a special dinner for a birthday one evening, but found out those are only available certain days. The ski teachers for our grandsons were exceptional. They were very personable and attentive.

The back doors were not open to access the building easily. Also, the ski cafe hours were too short. We had booked thru a 3rd party reservation, and the front desk didn't find our reservation upon check in. Fortunately, there was a room available and we should be credited for the charges we made to secure the room.

Rooms were comfortable. Clean, equipped with microwave and refrigerator. The beds were comfortable. Staff was kind & helpful . scenery was gorgeous, especially after the snow & I have to applaud the entire staff for keeping the parking and walkway entrance & exit clear. They did a great job!

Both nights there, the night skiiers were VERY loud coming in and stayed up very late (3 am). Difficult sleep nights. I didn't report the incidents, not the resorts fault.

The property is in an incredible location overlooking the Mississippi. It was well maintained and friendly. The pool was well located and well maintained.

It would have been helpful to have had a shower near the pool area, but I noticed that while this is normal in the UK, where people are expected to use the shower before and after the pool/spa pool (and transferring between the two) it doesn’t seem to be a common in USA hotels.

I understand that we visited during off season therefore the limited access to the hotel’s restaurant. We actually enjoyed how quiet the hotel was and that the kids were still able to use the pool. The hotel helped us with a room upgrade at the last minute, which was highly appreciated. We will be back. The view from our room was amazing!

We enjoyed our time at Chestnut mountain Resort. We enjoyed the alpine slide, pool and hot tub. We had cocktails and dinner on the terrace, as we enjoyed the beautiful vista and sunset above the Mississippi River. We drove the 15 minute drive to Galena where we spent the day shopping and eating delicious food. Next time we'll try the Segway tour and the zipline!

We have zero complaints.

No breakfast was available there. Not included. Restaurant didn’t open until 11 for lunch. View was gorgeous. No elevators. My room was on 4th floor Got to room. It was nice. Air conditioner was not cooling. Called down to front and the sent maintenance man straight up. He tried fixing it. Before he left it quit working again. He called and got me another room. It was nice with a view from the mountain over looking the river. Very pretty.

No elevator. And they charged a deposit at checking in. That wasn’t on the booking page. They said it would be refunded if no damages.

The location of the resort is amazing. The views from the restaurant were breathtaking. They had many outdoor activities to enjoy. We really enjoyed the sky train the the Alpine Slide. I would love to come back in the winter.

Our room was in the worst location. Our view out our window was of the compressor units and the rooftop. For such a beautiful place, the room they chose to give us was a disappointment. Also, there was no blow dryer in the room which was very surprising.

The resort is very well kept, and there is plenty to do on the property, even in the summer. The staff was super friendly and helpful in the hotel and the restaurant. Rose and Vanessa were great servers for our dinners and breakfasts.

Some stuff was a bit pricey, but to be expected for a resort. It really is out in nowhere and the road there is a long, windy country road, so use caution while driving.

Mom's handicapped so some handicapped doors entrance ways would be helpful I kind of struggled holding the doors and the transfer wheelchair open at the same time but when the staff was around they were very helpful and I appreciated it

We wish it could be closer to home it's a three and a half hour drive is there is such a thing as a weekly rate? so I could come up more frequently? That would be lovely

The amenities, scenery, and overall facility was beautiful. The staff were also extremely helpful and friendly!

The only thing that bothered us was the shower would make a high pitched screeching noise when running. It was loud enough we think the neighbors could hear it, so we had to rush in order to not inconvenience anyone!
