We did not take advantage of the breakfast. However, we did use the restaurant for dinners and drinks. We wanted a special dinner for a birthday one evening, but found out those are only available certain days. The ski teachers for our grandsons were exceptional. They were very personable and attentive.

The back doors were not open to access the building easily. Also, the ski cafe hours were too short. We had booked thru a 3rd party reservation, and the front desk didn't find our reservation upon check in. Fortunately, there was a room available and we should be credited for the charges we made to secure the room.

The breakfast was good, I wish there was more fruit. The attractions were fun and it was a wonderful view. The alpine slide was so fun and riding up the ski lift was great. The Zipline was awesome, and we got a great view and it wasn't scary at all, even if it looks intimidating. The segue ways were so fun and it was worth doing.

The website was very confusing, and it was hard to know how to get tickets and what was open or available. It would be great if things were posted clearly so we could plan our days and whole trip better.

Rooms were comfortable. Clean, equipped with microwave and refrigerator. The beds were comfortable. Staff was kind & helpful . scenery was gorgeous, especially after the snow & I have to applaud the entire staff for keeping the parking and walkway entrance & exit clear. They did a great job!

Both nights there, the night skiiers were VERY loud coming in and stayed up very late (3 am). Difficult sleep nights. I didn't report the incidents, not the resorts fault.

Beautiful location. Nice restaurant and bar. Plenty of activities to enjoy. Nice pool and hot tub. Rooms were dated but everything was clean. I felt it was reasonably priced for the busy weekend we chose to visit.

I really don't have a complaint. it is what it is, it is dated but the beds were comfortable, sheets and linens were clean. I guess I really don't have any complaints.

The property is in an incredible location overlooking the Mississippi. It was well maintained and friendly. The pool was well located and well maintained.

It would have been helpful to have had a shower near the pool area, but I noticed that while this is normal in the UK, where people are expected to use the shower before and after the pool/spa pool (and transferring between the two) it doesn’t seem to be a common in USA hotels.

We loved the grounds, it is so beautiful there. We really had a great time. The location is perfect, and the staff was very nice.

Our room was a little small and the view wasn't so great. I also wish there were more food options. Dinner at the Summit was ok, the service could have been better. Breakfast was better.

I understand that we visited during off season therefore the limited access to the hotel’s restaurant. We actually enjoyed how quiet the hotel was and that the kids were still able to use the pool. The hotel helped us with a room upgrade at the last minute, which was highly appreciated. We will be back. The view from our room was amazing!

We enjoyed our time at Chestnut mountain Resort. We enjoyed the alpine slide, pool and hot tub. We had cocktails and dinner on the terrace, as we enjoyed the beautiful vista and sunset above the Mississippi River. We drove the 15 minute drive to Galena where we spent the day shopping and eating delicious food. Next time we'll try the Segway tour and the zipline!

We have zero complaints.

No breakfast was available there. Not included. Restaurant didn’t open until 11 for lunch. View was gorgeous. No elevators. My room was on 4th floor Got to room. It was nice. Air conditioner was not cooling. Called down to front and the sent maintenance man straight up. He tried fixing it. Before he left it quit working again. He called and got me another room. It was nice with a view from the mountain over looking the river. Very pretty.

No elevator. And they charged a deposit at checking in. That wasn’t on the booking page. They said it would be refunded if no damages.

The location of the resort is amazing. The views from the restaurant were breathtaking. They had many outdoor activities to enjoy. We really enjoyed the sky train the the Alpine Slide. I would love to come back in the winter.

Our room was in the worst location. Our view out our window was of the compressor units and the rooftop. For such a beautiful place, the room they chose to give us was a disappointment. Also, there was no blow dryer in the room which was very surprising.
