The room is clean and modern, location is PERFECT. One mile from my work, tons of food/shopping options within a two mile radius some within walking distance. Only a twenty minute drive to GEHA if you're looking for a clean, safe, family friendly, location when coming in from out of town for games. Lots of spaces at the hotel to lounge and hangout that aren't in the room which is perfect for my family who will be in the area often for work and Chiefs games.

The parking is a bit of a walk. There are two parking garage options, neither is directly attached to the hotel. My preference would be a parking option closer to the hotel or free valet that is readily available.

We chose this site for hotel reputation, location, and pet friendliness. All of our expectations were met in these regards. With respect to location, we were pleasantly surprised by the restaurant options in the very immediate area. We could not have been happier. Free parking was safe. The complementary made-to-order breakfast was excellent We plan to return. We didn't take advantage of the on-site bar offering.

Minor item was the main lobby was on the second floor, but not a huge deal. The room was a little smaller than we expected, but it was nicely appointed and trendy.

Location was great. Shopping areas and activities were not far from the location. The morning we were leaving, they had a foam party across the street for kids. Looked fun. If we'd had more time it would've been nice to check out their balcony seating. Beds were huge! A plus.

Really I'd say the only complaint we had was that it was the first hotel we stayed at, that didn't have usb ports for charging phones, or tablets. Luckily my wife came prepared. Other than that, it was fine.

The ALoft Hotel (as in "A Loft") is in an absolutely fantastic, ritzy suburban location. The numerous upscale mall-type stores nearby make a great morning walk or shopping experience. There are TWO excellent sushi restaurants, one being right next door. Our room was quite spacious, in a modern minimalist style, so space allocation is a bit weird, but still very functional. The steamy shower and huge, clean bed were fantastic. The very readable and simple thermostat worked exceptionally well. The view was really nice, overlooking a small park, with two tall windows that could be shut completely. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Staff members were easy to contact, but stayed out of the way. The breakfasts are a bit Spartan and "to go" (some nice places to sit down if you want), but there are lots of healthy options, and the cooked-to-order breakfast sandwiches are quite good. There are a few quality breakfast options nearby, but many more options for lunch and dinner. The free parking garage is convenient and close by.

I liked the "modern" design, but it's a bit challenging. The clothes closet is small, shallow and strange, and many people will not figure out how it works (you pull the curtain aside and the outer rail becomes a nice long rack). People need to bring hangers or ask for more (the staff are very accommodating if you need anything). The rooms are short on takable amenities (hooray!), but the shower has excellent dispensers of shampoo, conditioner and body wash which have a fantastic aroma. There are no folding stands for luggage - use the mod long sofa or bed instead. Housekeeping is every other day, unless you ask for more. The AC is noisy but super-fast and works like crazy. The AC controls are disconnected - use the thermostat. Bottom line - the place is a bit different, but good.

They say they have breakfast. You get a minimal amount of choices, and it’s made for you. It cost $12.00 a person. I could have gone to McDonalds and got the same McMuffin for way cheaper. My husband went down to get a coke. They don’t take cash. They bill your room. When we checked out, that coke was billed $20.00. We had an additional $84.00 on our charges and we didn’t use anything. Clerk couldn’t explain the extras. High way robbery.

Loved the location. Lots of restaurant options within easy walking distance. Parking was in a public lot nearby. The bed was comfy and clean. The lobby had a bar area, a pool table and a sitting area. Very relaxing after a long day.

Street parking is very crowded and finding the vehicle entrance to the parking garage (around the next block) is tricky - but once you have parked it is a close and easy walk to the building front door. The lobby is on the second floor with elevator or stair access. Really, not a problem at all - just helpful to know when you arrive on a busy night. There is also valet parking and a pull through carport for unloading/loading.

Great location and very comfortable.

Disappointed in the bar and that it did not have much in the way of a selection of wine. I’ve stayed at ALoft before, and the bar was much better stocked than this time. The bartender was fabulous, but he had not much to give us.

perfect location to so many things!

That my credit card was charged even though I had already paid for the room on booking.com and told the gentlemen who had checked me in when he asked for my card that I had already paid for the room and he still ran it. It made my account go negative for the remaining of my trip I didn't have access to any money until it was reimbursed the day I was boarding the plane. Otherwise, the hotel was excellent.

I had a corner room with a great view of the plaza.

While it couldn’t really be avoided, they were cleaning the air conditioner units throughout the time I was there.

We’ve stayed at a loft several times over the Thanksgiving weekend and this was the best stay ever. Our room was overlooking the beautiful ice rink and Christmas lit area in front of the hotel. It was very magical. Thank you!
