Very convenient and quiet just a few miles away from the main drag. Right on the little inlet and the view was awesome. The staff was very helpful as well. We had an issue connecting to the WiFi with the info we had gotten when checking in but the front desk attendants were able to get us connected pretty quickly. The gym facility was excellent and my wife and I worked out nearly every day of our stay. It was so nice and well-maintained

It really isn’t the “season” so some of the restaurants around the area were closed. There was a little market across the street but nothing else really convenient for meals. As we prefer to take out we ended up doing a lot of grub hub for dinners. Which was fine. Just know - off season you need to plan for having to either drive a bit to get to a restaurant or you will need to have it delivered.

The most impressive point was the helpfulness of staff and manager. There were reportedly 17 other weddings in town that weekend. Not only did staff provide info on rides/ taxis- calling them to arrange rides to our family’s wedding events when walking didn’t suit some ( but location is great & easy walking to restaurants, shops & other venues) the manager hearing one of our older folks hadn’t found a ride yet- got out his personal vehicle and drive them himself to make the event on time! Exceptionally attentive!

This is our second time back to the Breakwater! We love our beautifully comfortable room with a perfect view!

The last time we came the delicious continental breakfast was included. It was a disappointment that it wasn’t and we weren’t told it wouldn’t be. We ordered and were charged for chocolate covered strawberries and Prosecco, but it was never delivered! The receipt was not emailed as promised.

Beautiful hotel and well appointed rooms. Staff very friendly and helpful. Some amazing views from the restaurant on site. The hotel is split across 2 buildings, but you are given a very comprehensive welcome pack to explain everything about the hotel and location.

Breakfast was nice and simple. Cereals and pastries. The cutlery, however, was plastic, and the crockery was paper plates and bowls

The staff were extremely friendly, accommodating and helpful with any questions and needs. My partner has hip problems and without asking the staff took note that he was using a walking stick and offered to change our room so it was more easily accessible.

There was nothing not to like.

WOW! What a spot! We reserved a room with a "partial view" of the sea, but upon our arrival we were totally blown away by the beautiful views of the river, harbor and even lobster boats steaming by!

The breakfast was a bit meager. Could have used waffles, eggs and bacon or fresh fruit. It was okay but not spectacular.

Loved the ambiance. The staff was very helpful and pleasant to speak to. Very clean and very spacious room.

There were no eggs in the complimentary breakfast, which is very strange to me. I also did not like the parking situation, if you have a truck those spots are tight .

Close to the water and shoppes.

We were in a different building. Parking was at another location. When the booking was made it stated breakfast was included. Restaurant was closed for the season.

I have knee problem and was put upstairs with no lift. Bought room with breakfast, BUT not available. For 3 breakfasts at places recommended by Breakwater it cost us nearly $100.

The room and hotel was quaint and comfortable

The room we were supposed to have which was partial water view needed repairs. We were upgraded to a larger room, but view of the parking lot.
