Location…

Outside pool area for eating was in bad shape and had safety concerns. Chairs had broken legs and were just left there unidentified? Should have been removed! Management told us you couldn’t eat there (ordered pizza for grandkids). But there is a bbq grill there for guests? He later agreed that didn’t make sense and allowed us to eat there. There was a styrofoam cooler that had been left out there with beers and soda (more than a day or two). Grandkids brought it to our attention…not good. Trash cans full throughout pool area inside and outside…and pool area is really not used very much…

We fly in and out of Detroit Metro Airport a few times every year to visit family. In the past, we would stay in Romulus the night before our departure flight. But the hotels in Romulus charge for parking, while the hotels in Belleville do not. This made our visit more efficient when checking out and the drive to the airport and rental car return easy. In the future, we will continue to stay at the Holiday Inn Express in Belleville.

It would be nice to have a "grab and go" breakfast option for those needing to leave before 6:00 am, for early flights.

Rooms were large and had plenty of space to spread out. Bathroom was huge! Everything was clean. The housekeeping staff were incredibly nice.

Front desk employee was kinda rude and seemed like she was annoyed any time someone needed something. Lack of towels in the bathroom (only had 3 for a four person room) Lack of towels in the pool area. Didn't seem that they were prepared, knowing there were many guests in town for a baseball tournament.

The breakfast was hot and had lots of choices. The staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was spacious and clean. They are a pet friendly hotel and they were very accommodating. The location was very convenient and near many restaurants and the freeway. The pool area was very nice, clean, and well maintained. We really enjoyed our stay.

It would be better if the check out was at noon. Everything else was wonderful!

Clean rooms. Great pool facility with hot tub. Pool is large so even if a lot of people were there it wouldn’t feel too crowded. I liked that they had a thinner pillow options. Usually hotels only have one pillow size and it’s absolutely massive, which is no good for me. They have us a 30 minute late checkout which really helped make our stay more enjoyable with some extra pool time for the kids.

Breakfast was fine. It was standard fare for hotel breakfast. The staff was friendly. The room was clean. The location was good.

Since I have not traveled much lately, I was a little surprised that we had no housekeeping service while we were there. We ran out of coffee pods, but since coffee was served in the breakfast area, that was not an off-putting problem.

The hotel room is clean. The staff is friendly. The breakfast serves very early and the food is in good quality.

the wall and floor must be very thin because I heard very clearly the sound from the upper floor and neighboring rooms. I could hear the loud noise when I walked in my room.

Front desk staff on night of check in was amazing. She was kind and friendly, very knowledgeable and timely. We got to our room and realized we needed bedding and pillows for the pull out bed, and they quickly sent some up. We were concerned about the construction but noticed no noise, smell, or mess. Pool area was clean. Breakfast was hot and delicious.

There were a lot of unsupervised kids in the pool area. They were using lifesaver floats as toys. Our first night another guest broke a glass bottle near the hot tub (we did not witness, it happened right before we came in). The hotel staff did not shut down the area to clean or make sure glass was not in hot tub.

Comfy beds easy check in

Lots of kids, oh my. You can hear them running in hallways. Our room was right above the pool and the glowing lights at night put a glow in our room. Would've been cool if you had adult hours at night with those cool colored lights already installed.

The breakfast was very good. Clean facilities and a very courteous staff. Not too far from airport. Plenty of parking space.

Not the hotels fault, but people staying at the hotel let their kids scream and yell outside in the parking lot while we were trying to sleep late at night. People yelling when walking hallways late at night.
